Visiting the School For parents and caregivers, we remind you that you must come to the school office and fill in the visitors book. There you will be issued with a parents visitor pass. If you are volunteering to be working with the children, the office staff will be checking that you have registered your unique ‘Working with Children’s Check’ (WWCC) number with us. When leaving the school, you will be requested to return the pass as you sign out.

Learning Management Business Reform
Last Term Mrs Bower and I attended an overview meeting about the development of the Learning and Management Business Reform (LMBR) program. The LMBR is designed to modernize school systems and provide a consistent way for all schools to manage financial and student data. It is one of the largest public sector business reform initiatives in NSW and as such the
training and implementation stages will have considerable impact on our school. Mrs Bower will have the most demands placed upon her and she will require our support and patience above and beyond as LMBR unfolds. She will attend 15 training days over the next two terms and I shall attend 5 training days. Further information about changes will be communicated.
2/3 Classroom
The children in to 2/3 have enjoyed creating fun ways to spell in the classroom.

Stranger Danger
There has been an incident in the wider community of a stranger approaching a young student whilst the child was moving around the community. Please reinforce safe behaviors with your children such as advising them to tell adults where they are going; travel with friends if possible; identify safe places between home and common places that they may travel to.
Peer Support Today we started our annual Peer Support groups. Students from Year 5 and 6 lead small groups in fun, enjoyable activities. Peer Support is an important part of student leadership at Mt Pleasant Public School. These experiences are greatly valued by students. Groups run once a week for the rest of this term.
Congratulations
Congratulations to the following students who received Merit certificates and Citizenship awards at our first assembly for Term 2.
