Take precautions such as frequent hand washing;
Remain home if t you are sick;
No one is required to drink from the Chalice. Therefore, adults can
make their own decision.
Refrain from drinking from the Chalice and from shaking hands at
the Sign of Peace if you are not feeling well.
Holy Cross-Immaculata Ministers of the Eucharist use hand sanitizer

Many of us have specific Lenten resolutions we return
to year after year, and they usually involve fasting or
giving something up, like candy or desserts. This is a
powerful spiritual practice that began in the early
church! But this year, alongside cutting something out,
consider adding something into your routine. Namely,
feed your soul. Exhaustion, overwork, and even
burnout can affect any of us. This Lent, commit to
prioritizing your relationship with God. Take more time
for Lenten spiritual readings, meditating with the
Gospels, or include Lenten devotions (such as reading
the Passion, the Stations of the Cross, or the last
words of Christ) as part of your daily or weekly routine.
Consider placing an inspirational Lenten quote or
several Bible verses prominently on your desk or on
your computer screen where you will see them
regularly. Sign up for daily Lenten reflection e-mails or
spend time searching the internet for Christian sites.
When you sit down at your computer in the morning,
take a few quiet moments for prayer before you
begin—almost like grace before meals. If something
urgent just can’t wait, set a reminder to take a midday
meditation break. For action-oriented people, breaking
away from your list of things to do in order to take time
for God can be a Lenten reward!
A Lenten Prayer Dear God, as we begin the season of Lent, I ask You to grant this request...
May I know who I am and what I am, every moment of every day.
May I be a catalyst for light and love, and bring inspiration to those I meet.
May I have the strength to stand tall in the face of conflict, and the courage to speak my voice.
May I have the humility to follow my heart, and the passion to live my soul's desires.
May I seek to know the highest truth and dismiss the gravitational pull of my lower self.
May I embrace and love the totality of myself, my darkness as well as my light.
May I be brave enough to hear my heart... to let it soften so that I may gracefully choose faith over fear.
Today is my day to surrender anything that stands between the sacredness of my humanity and my divinity.
May I be drenched in my holiness and engulfed by Your love. May all else melt away. And so it is.
