The MSc International Business Management will develop your ability to think logically, laterally, practically and independently so that you can operate effectively in a wide range of business roles within international organisations. About this course Our MSc International Business Management will enable you to develop a thorough knowledge of the key concepts of human resource management, finance, marketing, business strategy and supply chain management in the context of international business. It will provide you with a range of transferable skills and competencies within a constructive, collaborative and technology based learning environment. This will prepare you for more challenging management and leadership roles which is key to your individual career aspirations and hence employability and career advancement. Students will have the opportunity to apply for an optional placement year at the end of their second semester. All (Tier 4) students who locate a placement in the UK must return back to their country and apply for the Tier 4 visa, (for the duration if their placement and to complete their existing programme), before starting their placement. The University will provide the necessary support by issuing a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) to students and meeting the cost of the Tier 4 visa applications, whilst students would be expected to meet all other related costs. Key features Aimed at the development of key management competencies. Teaching and learning based on a combined problem and practice approach. A teaching team comprised of those at the leading edge of research and those with significant experience in management roles. Preparation for roles in international business management – whatever discipline. Entry requirements A UK 2.2 Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Evidence of satisfactory English language skills is required for international candidates where English is not their first language, such as IELTS – overall score 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening) or equivalent. Applicants who do not quite meet the normal entry requirements may be offered the opportunity to study the ‘Extended Programme’ (see overleaf). MSc - Extended ProgrammeThis programme has an introductory teaching block comprising the modules below and is aimed at students who meet the MSc entry requirements, but feel that they would benefit from the additional modules to prepare them for postgraduate study.
