    Quick Start Guide

    BEFORE YOU BEGINBefore using this product, read the Important Safety and

    Legal Information pamphlet and follow its instructions.

    Take a moment before you get started tofamiliarize yourself with your newH780 Headset.

    Charge your headset's battery for 2 hours:

    CHARGE

    Your Headset's Battery

    Plug the Motorola charger into the end ofthe headset.

    The indicator light turns red when the batteryis charging. It may take up to 1 minute forthe indicator light to turn on. When theheadset's battery is fully charged (about 2hours), the indicator light turns green.

    Disconnect the charger.

    Note: Headset is not functional while charging.

    Note: This product uses a lithium ion, rechargeable,

    non-replaceable battery. Under normal use, the expected life

    of the rechargeable battery is approximately 400 charges.

    2 START BLUETOOTH

    FEATUREYour Phone

    Press (Menu)> Settings > Connection >Bluetooth Link > Setup.

    Scroll to Power.

    Select Change.

    Scroll to On.

    Press Selectto turn on the Bluetoothfeature. The Bluetooth feature remains onuntil you turn it off.

    Note: These steps are for most Motorola phones.

    3 PYour Heads

    Before you can use your headset, you must pair(link) it with your phone.

    Step A - ENSURE HEADSET IS IN PAIRING

    MODE

    Power on the headset by sliding Power switchto the On position. The indicator light firstflashes during power up, then initiates pairing.After a few moments, the indicator light willbe steadily lit in blue toindicate headset is in pairing mode.

    If the headset does not enter pairing mode,see TROUBLESHOOTING for help.

    For most Motorola phones:

    On your Motorola phone, press (Menu)>

    Settings > Connection > Bluetooth Link > Handsfree> Look for Devices.

    The phone lists Bluetooth devices it finds.

    Select Motorola H780.

    Select OKor Yesto pair your headset withyour phone.

    Enter the passkey: 0000

    Select OK.

    When your headset successfully pairs withyour phone, the indicator light flashespurple and blue.

    Note: These steps are for most Motorola phones.

    For other phones, see your phone's user's guide.

    TROUBLESHOOTINGMy headset will not enter pairing mode.

    Make sure that any devices previously paired with theheadset are turned off. If the indicator light is flashing inblue, first turn off the other device, then using the Powerswitch, turn the headset off and on. The indicator lightbecomes steadily lit in blue indicating the headset is nowin pairing mode.

    My phone doesn't find my headset.Make sure the indicator light on your headset is on (lit inblue) and steady when your phone is searching fordevices (see step 3).

    My headset worked before but now it's not working.Make sure your phone is on and the Bluetooth feature is

    turned on in your phone (see step 2). If the Bluetoothfeature was turned off or was turned on only temporarily,you may need to restart the Bluetooth feature (see step 2)and pair your phone and headset again (see step 3).

    My headset will not pair with my phone.Turn the headset on by using the Power switch. Press theCall button and both Volume buttons for 5 seconds. Theindicator light turns solid blue. The headset is now inpairing mode (see step 3B) to complete the pairing process.

    Your phone and headset are now paired andready to make and receive calls. To confirm theyare operating properly, make a call:

    TEST AND USE

    Place the headset over your ear.

    On the phone, dial the number you want tocall and press SEND key on your phone.

    If your phone and headset are successfullypaired, you will hear ringing on the headset.

    After you have successfully paired your phoneand headset, you don't need to repeat thesesteps. For daily use, ensure that your headset isturned ON and that your phone's Bluetoothfeature is ON.

    USING A

    Multipoint technology allows you to make andreceive calls from two Bluetooth enableddevices like your personal and business phone

    To pair a second phone to your headset, followthese steps:

    Turn off any phones or devices that arealready paired with your headset.

    Turn off your headset by turning off the Poswitch.

    Perform Step 2 (Start Bluetooth Featureand Step 3 (Pair), and Step 4 (Test andUse) to pair your headset with your secophone.

    To reconnect your headset with your first pho(and thus be connected to both phones), follow

    Your headset is now connected to bothphones. The last paired phone (your secondphone) is now your primary phone for voicedial functionality.

    Use your first phone to connect to yourheadset.

    After you have successfully paired both phoneswith your headset, you don't need to repeatthese steps. For daily use, ensure that yourheadset is turned ON and that your phone'sBluetooth feature is ON.

    Use the following tips when using H780'smultipoint technology:

    Incoming calls can be answered from bothphones:

    When answering a call, the idle phone disconnected from the headset.

    When the call ends, the idle phone is automatically reconnected to the head

    Last number redial dials the last outgoing camade from the primary phone.

    Voice dial is accessible from your primary de(last paired phone) by tapping the Call buttonand speaking the name after the tone.

    If your headset does not automaticallyreconnect to both phones, turn the H780 ofand on again to reconnect.

    EAR CUSHIONS AND

    YOUR HEADSETYour H780 headset is supplied with multiple earcushions. Your headsets performance is greatlydependent upon achieving a good fit on yourear. Therefore, we recommend trying all thesupplied ear cushions with your headset.

    The ear cushion is fitted onto the end of yourheadsets earpiece speaker like shown, andplaced onto your ear when using your headset.

    WEARING THE

    HEADSETTo wear your headset, flex the earhook andloop it over your ear as shown.

    Be sure to position the ear cushion into youear canal for optimal audio performance andcomfort.

    CHANGING FOR USE

    Gently lift and pull thetop of the earhook upand off speaker stem, asshown.

    Flip the headset over.

    Attach the earhook tothe speaker stem, asshown.

    You can wear your H780 headset on your left orright ear. The headset comes ready for the rightear. To change the headset for the left ear:

    While turned on and not on a call, you cancheck your headsets battery charge level bypressing and holding both Volumebuttons.

    Note: This feature does not work when headset is inpairing mode.

    The indicator light displays charge statusuntil you release the buttons.

    NOISE CANCELLATION

    BUTTONYour H780 headset has a noise cancellationbutton that enables you to hear the differenceof dual-microphone noise cancellation.

    Noise cancellation is always on each time anew call is received or placed. To turn thefeature off (or back on), tap the NoiseCancellation button while in a call.
