Mirroring the restoration work for which Stowe is famed for, much has been achieved in the Czech Republic to save and restore their tranquil and beautiful historic gardens. In this talk Premysyl and Kamil will discuss their most recent projects restoring important historic gardens, explain the key values which make each site unique and discuss the international context - how projects and thinking in the UK inuences their work. They will delve into the continued management and care of the sites and discuss what the future holds for these magnicent and signicant works of landscape design. Premysyl and Kamila are specialists in landscape restoration and have had the privilege of giving new life to many historical gardens and parks in the Czech Republic. Perhaps the most important of these are their UNESCO projects; Lednice Park and its glasshouse, the garden of Villa Tugendhat at Brno and the Kvetna garden in Kromeriz. Premysl is also a lecturer at Mendel University where he teaches a new generation of landscape designers and garden historians with the aim of further restoring and protecting the heritage of the beautiful area.
