“Our catamaran sailing adventure in April was even better than we had hoped. This is the 2nd Moorings holiday we’ve taken with our best friends, and the four of us agree completely that having Cosy and Vicky as our captain and hostess made the week-long sail all the more special. It was relaxing, enjoyable, and unforgettable! Cosy and Vicky are an amazing team. They work together so well to provide wonderful meals, refreshing cocktails, and exciting sailing experiences. They are true champions of the Moorings image and reputation and we are already looking forward to sailing with both of them again very soon!”

Holiday Options

Choose Your HolidayWhen you charter your own yacht, you experience a sense of unparalleled freedom. Let the wind carry you to exotic ports or hop aboard a powered catamaran. Either way you’re up for a holiday full of unique pleasures. All of our yachts are designed for easy handling. If you like, you can even hire a skipper and chef to join you.

SAILA bareboat sailing charter is all about the serenity that comes when you harness the wind for motive power. Your yacht glides gently through the waves. All you hear is the swish of the bow parting the shimmering waters. The serenity is complete and the relaxation is all-encompassing. Seek out secluded coves, drop anchor and dine under the stars in the cockpit. Sailing your yacht is immensely satisfying and integral to the experience.

CREWEDOur all-inclusive crewed yachts with private captain and chef will provide you a holiday like none other. Discover everything our crewed charters have to offer on page 10 of this brochure.

POWERGetting out on the water on a bareboat charter with one of our powered catamarans presents you with the opportunity to explore the very limits of our cruising grounds. You fire up the twin engines and cruise in comfort and style. Our power yachts are simple to manoeuvre and you feel an easy sense of liberation as you gaze at the stunning scenery that makes your yachting holiday unique and wonderful.

We’re Here to Serve YouYour dream holiday on the water is important to us, which is why we offer optional services and activities to make sure your every need is met.

Rest assured, the variety is extensive, providing options for even the pickiest of eaters. Our fresh meats, seafood, fruits and vegetables are obtained from local grocer partners to ensure top quality. When you arrive on your boat, you’ll even receive a complimentary care package. It’s that simple.

Pamper Yourself On a Crewed Yacht

Crewed Yacht Holidays

You are on an all-inclusive Crewed Yacht Charter aboard a beautiful catamaran. Just now your captain is skillfully bringing your private yacht to anchor off a white-sand beach and your gourmet chef is preparing appetisers. As you anticipate an enjoyable evening, you realise you’re on a holiday as unique as any you’ve ever thought of.

No matter where you choose to go, or whether you desire a sail or power yacht, a Crewed Yacht holiday is sure to give you memories you’ll treasure forever. Experience Caribbean charm or Belize’s barrier reef. Sample the exotic isles of the Seychelles, Tahiti and Thailand. The French Riviera, Croatia’s medieval cities, chic Capri off Naples, the white temples of Athens, remote Western Turkey — you’ve got it all with The Moorings. In the British Virgin Islands, you don’t have to charter an entire Crewed Yacht. We offer Sail Away Stateroom packages ideal for couples and singles alike.

Your Crewed Yacht Charter delivers everything you envisioned. Your crew — the captain and gourmet chef — caters to your every whim, guiding you to places only the locals know and serving you meals prepared with delicious meats and produce bought fresh from our partner suppliers.

Our Moorings 5800 Catamaran has a crew of three - captain, chef and hostess. With a hostess, you’ll have additional crew to serve your cocktails and meals, assist the chef and keep the yacht shipshape. Chartering our 5800 is like holidaying on your own floating villa.

What inspires you? Tropical sun-drenched beaches in the Caribbean? Medieval cities and remote isles in the Mediterranean? Far-flung exotics in the Indian Ocean or the South Pacific? Every destination we offer has its own distinct character. Lively St. Martin, with its upscale casinos and boisterous nightlife, stands in contrast to the quiet splendour of Belize, home of the world’s second largest barrier reef. The French Riviera and Monte-Carlo differs greatly from the laid-back charm of capacious Western Turkey. With The Moorings, the world is your oyster.

Guest loyalty is what sets The Moorings apart. Many have chartered with us for decades; they come back thanks to our superlative yachts and our top-quality service. In this brochure, you’ll find testimonials from guests who enjoyed their holidays. You’ll also see insider tips from The Moorings staff about their favourite destinations and much more.

As you take a journey of the mind, visualising yourself in the destination that speaks to your soul, look for the icons in the boxes next to the maps of sample itineraries. At a glance, you’ll see top attractions in each destination. Plus, you’ll get the basics on weather, travel details and what types of yacht charters are available in any particular locale.

“Our bareboat charter out of St. Martin was magical from beginning to end. I still haven’t decided which of the many memories is my favourite: the pod of 15 dolphins swimming off the bow of our Moorings 4600 in the Anguilla Channel, the romantic night spent at Anse De Colombier with only one other boat in the anchorage, or the unforgettable people and restaurants we discovered in Orient Bay. The folks at The Moorings made these and many more dreams come true for us.”

– Jim K.

Journey to a Caribbean oasis of deserted cays bejewelling the world’s second largest barrier reef. Only in Australia will you find its equal. The sun sparkles on brilliant turquoise waters. Belize

Page 37: Moorings

“The secret of Belize? It has to be the beautiful, turquoise sea. The water is always a flat because it is protected by a coral reef. Despite 18 to 20-25 knots of constant wind, the setting allows for effortless navigation, and leaves room for reading, daydreaming, sunbathing, cooking, drinks, celebrations and more. Belize is a myriad of islands and atolls resting on coral reefs, each with an abundance of charm just waiting to be discovered.”

BVI AppWhen planning your trip or cruising in the British Virgin Islands, use The Moorings BVI App, a free-to-download iPad app that acts as your point-to-point charter guide.

The app provides information on BVI boating regulations, safety, navigation, places to dine ashore and historic points of interest as you cruise. In addition, each route links you to one of our educational partners, NauticEd. You’ll find tests on the NauticEd website that you can take as you study the islands. If you pass the tests, you can bypass much of The Moorings charter briefing once you arrive at the Tortola base.
