BUZZING AROUND Our Women’s Auxiliary has had a busy year. We hosted a “Tea Social” in January, a “Girls Night Out Vendor Fair” in March, a “QVC Tour with dinner at the 200 year old Seven Stars Inn in Phoenixville” in April and our annual “Spring Penny Party” in May. We thank all who helped in any way to make these events successful. We have future events planned and invite you to attend them. Meanwhile join us for our June events— Schnitzel Night, Bayerischer VV & United German Hungarian 11th Anniversary, Gaufest Dancer’s Warm-Up, Fathers Day Picnic, and German Day.

United Soccer League CHAMPIONS by Danielle Harvey The German Hungarian Fury Women’s Soccer Team recently wrapped up an extremely successful 2012-2013 campaign, winning both the United Soccer League (USL) of PA Women’s Majors League title and the USL of PA Women's League Cup. The Fury ended the season with a record of 11-0-1—their only loss coming in the first game of the season. The team led the league in goals scored, with an impressive 12 different players tallying goals. Ashley Fischer was the league’s top scorer with 20 goals, while Whit-ney Weinraub tied for third league-wide with 8. Claire Pelura and Ash-ley Fischer tied for first place in assists league-wide with 7 each. The team also led the league in goals against, giving up only 17

goals in 12 games. Coach Barry Harvey credits the entire Fury backline, including goalkeeper Desiree DaBaldo, with keeping their opponents out of games. “Our offense is a powerful weapon, but in the end it was our defense that won games for us.” After the league season ended, the team went on to win the USL of PA Women's League Cup, navi-gating through two rounds before beating rival Phoenix in the championship by a score of 5-0. The team will now participate in the annual UGH Women’s Summer League, with games on Wednes-day nights starting on June 5. Congratulations to the team on a job well done!

- OUR JUNE EVENTS - In some months of the year, our club is very busy with various events. In other months we are not so busy. That’s just the way of life.
