M C CUSKER, PRINCIPAL FEBRUARY 2021, ISSUE 5 M ONTHLY M EMO During the month of January, we completed our re-registration process for our current students and families. To date, 99% of our students have re-registered! Some of our classes are already full for next year! At this time, we are enrolling new students for our open grade levels. Spots are filling up quickly. A tremendous thank you to Mrs. Marie Guaragno for her tireless efforts in working with all families to help complete the re-registration process. As Spring approaches (and very quickly we all hope!), our teachers and staff will now begin to evaluate their resources, materials, etc., and we will begin the process to plan ahead for the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you to everyone for your support of Holy Trinity School! “HTS Book Club” Off to a TERRIFIC Start! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of HTS Librarian Mrs. Rita Raudenbush and the contributions of our very generous donors, the “HTS Book Club” has already raised over $500 toward the purchase of newly-dedicated books for our school library! The “HTS Book Club” is a way for the library to increase its book collection while giving our school community a means of commemorating a special person - a grandparent, teacher, new sibling - or family event - a birthday, sacrament, birth of a baby. For more information on how your family can participate in the “HTS Book Club,” please contact Mrs. Raudenbush at [email protected]. What a great way to celebrate your family’s milestones while helping to promote a lifelong love of reading! M R . M C C USKER S S CHOOL U PDATE During the season of Lent, our students will remember all of our parishioners and benefactors in our prayers. Students are taking part in the Catholic Relief Services "Rice Bowl" project, and we will be conducting a Food Drive collection to help stock Holy Trinity's Food Pantry. Each grade will also participate in Stations of the Cross with Msgr. Eckert. During Lent, we pray each day: God of mercy, You call us to recognize you in our sisters and brothers and to care for those most in need -- for whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me. This Lent, ignite your love in us so that through our prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, we may support all who experience hunger in body, heart, and spirit. AMEN
