What is a Thesis Statement?

A “thesis statement” is a lot like a “topic sentence,” but for your whole

essay.Whatever you say in your paper, it should support your thesis.

You can usually find a thesis statement at the end of the introduction.

How can I build a thesis statement?

Thesis statements have 2 parts:• The Topic

• Your Position, or what you think about the topic.

You should have 3 points in your essay.
