Galaxy Cargo Lifts are Available in Four Models!

ORIONGalaxy’s newest and largest cargo lift, the Orion, comes standard with three 5" I-beams allowing it to accommodate up to a 1,200 lbs. capacity. This versatile lift is available from 87.5" up to a 110" wide, making it ideal utilized in industrial settings to move heavy loads between floors.

The Orion can also be used as a motorcyle lift, as seen on the Discovery Channel’s “Garage Rehab” hosted by Richard Rawlings.

SMART-SHUTTLE ™

The Smart-Shuttle™ is an innovative Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Lift. The Smart-Shuttle is designed for applications where a larger basket model would not fit. This economical choice may be ordered on Amazon and the smaller basket size is shipped with

ease. This model comes standard with our composite flooring and a complete DIY kit with installation manual. Galaxy’s online technical assistance is also available.

SIDE BRACE Our side brace is our most common application, fitting 90% of all lift applications. This allows the travel beams to be perpendicular to the structure and also allows for two

gate openings on the basket—one on the structure side and an optional second gate opening on one of the other two

available sides of the basket.

NOTE: Gate opening on the ‘back side’ (or the ‘travel beam’ side) of basket

is not an available option.

VERTICAL BRACEGalaxy’s second most commonly used brace is our vertical brace. This brace allows the travel beams to be flush against a structure. This brace is often used in an interior shaft application or when the lift/basket needs to travel through the structure/deck.

ARROWHEAD BRACE

Galaxy’s arrowhead brace allows yet another option on our custom designed lifts. This brace adds additional support and safety when the lift needs to be flush with the end of the structure, assuring a fully supported installation.

HORSESHOEBRACE

The horseshoe brace, though not as common, is used when structures only allow for one opening, and available space only allows for the travel beams to be parallel to structure. Just one more example of our commitment to our customer to meet every cargo lift need.

LOW PROFILE GATEThe low profile gate eliminates the gap between the base of the unit and the bottom of the gate.

Shown left; low profile gate powder coated white and featuring the stained glass inset.

DECK GATE The deck gate is attached where the basket meets the porch on the upper level. This is made out of the same aluminum used for the basket. The deck gate comes in two installation options:

GATE ONLY with customer providing the posts to attach the gate to. DECK GATE KIT which includes the posts the gate connects to. Shown above right; the deck gate (powder coated black) with posts.

DECK GATE LOCK/INTERLOCK

The interlock is a safety lock for the Deck Gate. This ensures the Deck Gate will not open until the basket is in place or at a level location. This added safety option eliminates the potential of a fall from leaning on an unsecured gate.

RAMP GATEThe ramp gate lowers to double as a convenient way to roll items on and off the lift. Ideal for sites that use a dolly to move heavy items. Includes a latch to hold the gate in place when in the closed position.

SALOON STYLE GATE The saloon style gate is another option. This gate opens from the middle or one or

the two gates can remain closed with a latch that locks to the floor of the lift. Perfect for spaces with limited clearance for doors.

36 " GATEAlways striving to meet customer’s unique installation needs, Galaxy offers a smaller 36" gate where size limitations require an opening narrower than the lift basket. This application is also used on our dual gate pass-through units to reduce flexing of the basket.

CALL/SEND STATIONAn optional call/send station acts as an ‘elevator’ button and allows the lift to be sent to another floor or called to a particular floor. This can be placed at any floor but is typically installed on upper floors.

The Galaxy cargo lift comes standard with a hand

held control and a control box to control the

m e c h a n i s m . Lifts with an up/down or a 2-stop (ground

to deck) control system come standard with our UP/DOWN REMOTE. Lifts with the 3-stop unit (ground, 2nd and 3rd level) come standard with the 3 STOPREMOTE. Customer can choose between any combination on the 3-stop remote. For example, if lift is on ground level, they can push the 3 button on the remote and bypass level 2. The lift does not have to stop at the middle level.

FOLD DOWN SHELF

The fold down shelf locks into place and can hold over 200 lbs. You can place items that are smaller and need be easily accessible. This shelf also folds down for easy put-away providing full capacity of the basket.

MOUNTED LIFT CONTROL

This mounted lift control option is placed on the corner post of the basket facing out. The mounted lift control provides added convenience by eliminating the customer from fumbling around for their remote or

walking over to the control box. This is an all-weather proof item.

Options To Make Your Galaxy Lift Even

More Convenient!

Galaxy cargo lifts come standard with one gate opening location on the basket (customers choice of which side). The customer has a choice to add another gate opening on the basket. Shown; Our most popular second gate option, the PASS THROUGH, with openings opposite of one another allowing for items to be brought in on one side and exiting the opposite side on the 2nd level. However customers can choose to have the second gate on one of the two other available sides. A gate opening on the ‘travel beam’ side of basket is not an available option.

HANDRAILSHandrails featuring strong, solid construction may be added to any lift model and provide both comfort and safety.


As part of our standard, we use a 90:1 ratio gearbox which has a built in feature which will lock the lift in

place until it has power. This is to ensure the lift will not ‘fall’ or move when in the up position.

GEARBOX WHEEL Galaxy’s Action Control Wheel System

(ACWS©) is designed to manually position the lift up or down in the event of an emergency or power-outage. This optional gearbox wheel is easily attached directly to the gearbox.

SDS BRAKING SYSTEM

Galaxy uses the safest braking in the industry on all of our lift models, but the optional SDS Braking system is designed to stop the lift within 1" on the rare chance one or both cables were to become slack or break. The SDS comes standard on the Voyager II Premium but may be added to any Galaxy lift model .

THE STANDARD FOR A GALAXY LIFT is to have two (2) stainless steel aircraft strength cables. Each individual cable is designed to withstand a load of up to 6,400 lbs. without breaking. Industry standard suggests that this type of cable can be safely subjected to a working load of up to twenty percent of this value, or1,280 lbs. Each cable can withstand 1,280 lbs. with repetitive use and a one-time lift of 6,400 lbs. without fear of breaking.Our cables alone provide more than double the capacity rating, ensuring the safety of our lifts. A larger winder and cover may be added for needed height and safety.

WINDER COVERThe winder cover is a protective housing over the head assembly. This prevents the possiblity of items getting caught in the winder and provides a more finished look to thewinder assembly.

LARGE WINDERThe winder in our head assemblydetermines how high a lift model

can travel. Our smaller winders have the capacity to travel from ground to a

maximum deck height of 17'. Our optional arger winder (which has a larger diameter) allows the basket to travel up to 27' from ground to deck.

PAN SWITCHThe pan switch may be added to the bottom of the basket with a piece of lexan glass (not shown) and will stop the down motion if something is under the moving

basket such as a trash can, similar to the sensor on garage doors.

STAINED GLASS

The stunning stained glass insert (for decorative use only) is handcrafted by a local Texas artisan. This option maiy be added to any gate style except the saloon style gate.

COMPOSITE FLOORING

Weatherproof composite flooring has gained more and more popularity for decks and piers and makes a beautiful, durable and easy to care for flooring for your lift. Available in six finishes.

POWDER COATFINISH

Whether a mountain chalet, beach house or industrial site we can powder coat your new lift with a durable finish that will protect it as well as blend or contrast seamlessly with your structure. Select from an extensive choice of powder coat paint colors including hammered finishes.

LEXAN SIDESLexan siding gives the basket and gate a solid surface. This great looking basket option also has the added advantage of preventing small items from rolling under the bottom rail while moving.

CANOPY COVERSThe canopy protects the basket from sun, rain and snow. The canopy allows for a 6' 9" clearance from gate entry to bottom of the canopy. Meticulously constructed to exact specifications, the canopy is available in literally

hundreds of colors and patterns to

complement your lift and

structure’s style and c o l o r . The flat

plexiglass canopy shown above is available

when the fascia limits room for the standard canopy.
