Abstract -- The paper aims to design a cost effective system for charging a mobile by utilizing the property of piezoelectric substances, which produces electric potential difference on application of mechanical strain. The project further cares about the proper utilization of non-conventional means such as sound energy to generate the required electrical energy for mobile charging. In this piezoelectric material is connected to generator shaft which is used to drive the generator thus producing electrical energy. Intensive care has also been taken to store the generated energy by means of a battery. The stored energy in a battery will be delivered when the charging of mobile is required. Present Day Problems Nowadays, with increasing evidence suggesting our use of fossil fuels is contributing towards climate change, now is the time to switch to an alternative means of generating energy where possible. Sound energy is the energy produced by sound vibrations as they travel through a specific medium. We hope ultimately the technology could be used to convert ambient noise to power a mobile phone or generate energy for the national grid from rush hour traffic. C. Principles involved Piezoelectric substances are the one which generate electric charge on application of mechanical stress or pressure .They can convert mechanical energy produced by sound waves into electrical energy.So, piezoelectric substances are transducers which will convert mechanical stress produced by sound waves such as our voice into electric potential difference, which will charge the mobile battery.

mechanical strain into electric charge. Voice amplifier-an amplifier which amplifies sound

Sound waves are fed to voice amplifier which increases the intensity of sound waves and thus to higher amplitude, amplified sound waves are then applied to piezoelectric sensor which converts it into electric potential or more specifically electric charge, which is then stored in capacitor.Capacitor is connected to terminals of battery which charges the battery if battery voltage is less than the voltage across capacitor

IV. Applications-

a) This system can be used in places where high intensity sound is produced to convert sound energy into electrical energy

b) This system can be implemented in common mobiles where user’s speech will be used as a source of energy.

V. Conclusion- In this paper, an optimization methodology is presented to solve the problem of mobile charger. The non-conventional sources of energy have been potentially tapped and consumption of fuel is restricted as much as possible. This low cost effective system will ensure high proficiency and will turn out to be a successful project in this energy crisis scenario.
