    creatingthefirstFamilyJusticeCenterasaplacewheresurvivorsofdomesticviolencecanapplyforassistance

    whiletheirdependentsaretakencareofinthesamefacility.TheBPhasbeenworkingonnutritionandfood

    policyandannouncedtheVeggieVantogivepeopleaccesstobasicnutritiousfreshfood. Itwillgoaroundthe

    borough. HeisexpandingtheYouthBucksprogram,$2couponsputinthehandsofyouthtoredeemfor

    EconomicDevelopmentCommittee. ShewillnolongerserveasSecretary. TheExecutiveBoardwillappointa

    replacementassoonaspossible.

    DistrictManager'sReport:TheDepartmentof EducaitonhasreverseditspolicyofallowingCommunityBoardstoholdmeetingsinschools

    withoutcharge. Alongwithourbudgetcutcausedbyunfundedraisesof$8,000,thiswouldpreventtheCBfrom

    holdingfullboardmeetingsinschools.WeareveryfortunatethatDistrictOne CommunityEducationCouncil

    hasagreedtocosponsorourboardmeetingssothatwewillnotbecharged. Thechargefortheremainderof

    thisschoolyearwouldhavebeenaround$2000.

    TheCECwillhaveapublicmeetingMarch6. Thepublicisinvitedtohearabouteducationissues.Itwouldbe

    greatifsomeonealsoattendedfromCB3tothankthem.

    ThisitemwaspulledattherequestofGloriaGoldenberg. Shefeltthereweregratuitouscriticismsoflandlords.

    ThelanguagecamefromtheBoroughPresident,therefore,AlecSchierenbeckspoke. Hedidn'treadthe

    languagethatway,butstatedthatitisbasedonfairenforcementofNewYorklandlordtenantlaws.GigiLi: CB3'svoteempowersDominictovoteforitoragainstitattheDistrictBoardmeeting,asis,

    butsincethelanguagecamefromtheBoroughPresident'soffice,THISmotioncan'tbechangedand

    stillbevotedonbyDominic. Ifweweretopassaneditedresolution,Dominicwouldhavetoabstain

    fromthisvoteattheBoroughBoardmeeting.
