Midsummer Art Zone Welcome to the “Art Zone” – the newest addition to the Midsummer Music Festival. Our aim is to merge the experience of art and music in our community in an accessible and playful way for adults and mature youth. Before the festival begins, we will be working with the Smithers Art Gallery and The Studio On Main to facilitate the creation of a community generated mosaic-style mural. Keep an eye out for more information and come make your mark on this project! The completed mural will be displayed during the festival. During the Midsummer Festival weekend, the “Art Zone” will be open from 10am to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Come by and check out our schedule - we will be offering a great selection of fun and creative activities; such as workshops taught by local artists, collaborative community art projects, and a space to hang out and be creative. We are also encouraging anyone who loves to be creative to bring something they would like to work on. There will be many artists painting and drawing around the grounds “en plein air”, and anyone is welcome to follow their example. Any art created on the grounds during the Midsummer Festival this year will be invited to be part of a gallery showing at The Studio On Main following the festival. We look forward to seeing you all there! Creatively, Robin & Robin Art Coordinators
