Anti-Counterfeit Program

Validation Protocols

Micross Components has four levels

of product that can be provided to

our customers.

Level 1 Secure Chain –

Documentation review, device verification against

OCM specifications and visual integrity inspection.

Level 2 Aged Chain – Documentation review, device

verification against OCM specifications and visual

integrity inspection; written customer acceptance.

Note: The following two levels do not apply to

product produced at our Hatfield, PA facility.

Level 3 Questionable Chain – Documentation review,

broker counterfeit warranty, device verification

against OCM specifications and visual integrity

inspection; lot traceability evaluation with OCM;

written customer authorization is required to

purchase and supply.

Level 4 Unknown Chain – Documentation review, broker

counterfeit warranty, detailed device verification

against OCM specifications and visual integrity

inspection; lot traceability evaluation with OCM and

lot sample testing; written customer authorization is

required to purchase and supply.

It has always been, and will continue to be, Micross’ policy to

provide all customers with authentic, non-counterfeit products

direct from an OCM’s authorized route. This policy gives way

to just one consideration: meeting the needs of customers for

whom no approved route is available. In those rare instances,

Micross will attempt to procure and validate products

from alternative sources, but only upon the prior written

authorization of the customer. Otherwise, our policy prevails

and we will not provide anything outside of our suppliers’

authorized distribution channels.

Micross Components Authentic Material Policy

It is the policy of Micross Components to always be forthright

regarding the pedigree of products supplied. We have

consistently maintained authorized channels with the best

OCMs (Original Component Manufacturers) worldwide. In

support of the customer, we have also purchased product from

our OCMs’ authorized outlets when necessary. Occasionally,

when directed by a customer, we have purchased product

from the gray market. Whenever the chain of custody is

questionable, the customer is made fully aware of the status

and must accept it in writing prior to purchase and/or release

of the product.

Today’s environment requires an educated customer and

a reliable source of authentic product. To that end, we have

documented this policy to provide an open view into the

Micross Components product validation program.

Counterfeit Device Validation Protocol

As presented in the Micross Components Authentic Material Policy, an unbroken chain of documentation (certifications, packing slips, etc.) tracing the parts back to the OCM is maintained. If we are directed by the customer to explore unauthorized sources, material is then put through a heightened level of scrutiny and, if appropriate, we will perform additional testing based on our experience, military specifications and AS5553. This evaluation may be offered as a service to existing customers.

Incoming Documentation Review

All Certificates of Compliance and packing slips are reviewed for applicability and consistency to the delivered material. Items checked include:

• Lot and/or date codes on packaging are consistent with lot and/or date codes on parts and containers (waffle pack, wafer jar, etc.).

• Labeling on boxes and packing slips match previous documents received from the OCM.

• No evidence of alterations or changes to the document-ation; proper grammar and spelling are evident.

• Bar code data matches human readable data.

• Package materials are consistent with previous OCM shipments and appropriate for the product type.

If there is an elevated concern for product integrity, the OCM will be contacted in an attempt to validate the product traceability data.
