Concept: a community of users, installers, manufacturers who
enable and are committed to the use CHP technologies to meet
the energy needs of their businesses and homes.
vs.
myCHP Campaign What is myCHP?
cogeneurope.eu
myCHP Campaign Objectives
13
• Shift in perspective from technical aspects to the utility
to and experience of end users
• Engaging hearts rather than minds
• Create a campaign in which the energy user/micro-CHP
owner is at the centre
• Convey CHP benefits through the eyes of the users.
cogeneurope.eu
myCHP Campaign Scope
14
Focus on the individual/business who has chosen a CHP system for
their household or business
Family who has installed a micro-CHP in their house;
Small business owners, e.g. the ski lodge in Germany, the greenhouse
growing tomatoes, the country hotel, the caravan site;
Large multinational hotel chains or hospitals, highlight the manager of an
individual branch of the hotel in one location.

myCHP Campaign Case studies
17
Examples of CHP projects in households/small businesses
Testimonials from users highlighting their experience after
installing the unit
Standard techno-economic parameters (e.g. running costs,
size of installation, pay-back time)
Links to the manufacturer and installer
cogeneurope.eu 18
Raising awareness among EU and national policy makers of
micro-and small-scale CHP technologies, and the benefits
they deliver to end users.
