Hi Everyone,

WOW! January has ended and we have just started February. Time has indeed passed so fast. The first 24 days have been very eventful, meaningful and strategic for the church. God has blessed us, as we gathered “Together”, as a church in our Combined Service on 4th January 2015 for our Vision Sunday. I felt a strong anointing from the Lord and a great sense of unity and affirmation as I shared the direction Metro will embark on commencing 2015.

The 21-day Prayer and Fasting has been instrumental to rejuvenate the spiritual life of many in the church. A young lady was so excited when she exclaimed to me her joy on going beyond the 21-day to a 40-day Daniel fast.

The Leadership Summit was the best we have had in the last 32 years with more than 700 spending the afternoon in God’s presence and with each other, with the purpose of empowerment for service.

We will have to move the Prayer Meeting to the Main Hall to accommodate the growing number who comes to “intermingle prayer with praise, worship with intercession.” It’s hard to describe the work of the Holy Spirit in words but you will know when you are there.

The Young Adult celebration service began last Sunday at 5 pm. It is so refreshing to see the new and young leaders at the service. I can identify with the chorus “I see a generation….” This service can only get better as we reach out to the universi-ties nearby.

As a pastor and a denomination leader, I often hear the need for the church to be closer to each other. Yes it should be and it begins with you investing time and effort in relationship. The scripture is full of “one another.” Your involvement, not only your attachment, in the Life Group is the beginning.

God bless you and have a meaningful and life-changing month ahead.
