The greatest battlefield of a Christian is the mind. The mind is the conduit and the door way of the Holy Spirit, demonic spirit or the work of the flesh.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Although we are constantly faced with the possibilities of failure, personal limitations and challenges, we can develop a mindset that causes us not only to survive, but to thrive in our daily life and ministry.

1. A FAITH -FILLED ATTITUDE. Your attitude is the outward expression of everything that you are. A good attitude is not the result of agreeable circumstances, but the willingness to choose faith and hope in the face of adversity. It is a defining characteristic of a victorious Christian. (Proverbs 23:7)

2. THE ABILITY TO BOUNCE BACK. We need to develop an ability to bounce back after temporary disappointments and defeats. We must not be weak in the face of challenges not victimized because we know everything is subject to the force of change with time. (John 16:33, Joshua 1: 6-7))

3. A SOLUTION-MINDED APPROACH TO PROBLEMS. There is a right way and a wrong way to respond to stress. One response sends you spiraling down into a whirlwind of despair but the other, cause us to shine with an objective approach and creativity to solutions. This type of a mindset will increase our self-worth and self-confidence. (John 16:13)

4. CONTINUOUS MENTAL EXERCISE. A weak mind is the mark of a lazy person. We need to seize every opportunity to exercise our mind, to increase our understanding and wisdom in any given subject. Study, meditate, research, read and engage with others (Proverbs 19:8)
