MESSAGE FROM OUR PARISH PRIEST Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest.”(Mt.11:28) My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Shalom and peace be with you！

All too soon, another year is upon us and our team got together to draw up our Parish Plan for 2015. With both our English and Mandarin groups, we had our discussions, questions, answers and debates to come up with our parish theme for 2015. Our parish of St. Ignatius is a vibrant and growing church. We have been blessed with many who have come forward to serve and for that, we thank our Almighty God. We trust that many more will be touched by Christ and come forward to serve in our parish. This would also be the time to plan for the Year 2015. The theme for the year is ‘To be a worshipping, welcoming and caring community’ and the goals to be reached has been distributed and explained by the Parish Planning Team. We pray and ask the Jesus our Lord and trust that He will guide and sustain us as we continue to serve Him and our parish. In brief, below are some points for our Parish Theme.

1. Worshipping: the Mass is the source and summit of worship to God. We aim to increase knowledge and understanding of all liturgical celebrations,

especially the Mass. Pastoral care must and should be a priority to the homebound, ill and grieving parishioners.

2. Welcoming & Caring: there are many in our parish who are from the migrant & minority communities. It has always been our obligation and privilege as

Christians, as Catholics, to reach out and welcome them and to help them in the way that Jesus wants us to.

3. Community: the best way to start is through our BECs and our neighborhoods. This is where our aim should be. We can help by reaching out to our

non-Catholic friends, praying together with our Catholic brothers and sisters and encourage BEC participation.

With the blessing of God we are delighted to have unveiling and blessing the “Welcoming Christ” statue ceremony in our parish SIC. As a host, Christ invites everyone, especially the poor, the lost and the marginalized, thus teaching us two important values, that is ‘Humility’ and ‘reaching out’ to the poor, the lost and the disadvantaged in true Christian hospitality. Such is the gift of hospitality when we are sensitive to the needs of those around us as we worship in the presence of one another, the eternal mystery of God. The “Welcoming Christ” always gathers his people in the communion of love! He unites with us while we receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion and affirms this within the context of the community, in the company of one another. As what He says: “Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest.”(Mt.11:28) I wish you all, dear friends, all the blessings and love of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

時間快速，新一年即將開始，我們的中英文牧民小組在之前已集合在一起，共同探討問題、研究與策劃堂區牧民動向及設定 2015年的主題。

聖依納爵是一個非常活躍和快速成長的堂囗。我們感謝全能天主的祝福，使眾多信友前來此堂服務。我們相信會有更多的人受到基督的觸動而前來服務。

目前是適當的時刻來策劃 2015 年各善會組織的活動，我們的主題為：成為一個敬拜、歡融與關懷的團體。牧民團隊小組已呈現並解說了有關達成的目標與方向

。讓我們向主耶穌祈求，相信藉著祂的護衛和導引，使我們能繼續地為天主和堂區服務。

以下簡述幾點有關我們的牧民主題—

1. 敬拜：彌撒是敬拜天主的泉源和頂峰。我們主要的目的是增加對禮儀慶典的認知和知識，特別是彌撒聖祭。牧民關懷必須優先注重家庭事件，貧病的與

哀慟的信徒。

2. 歡融與關懷：堂區內有許多外勞和少數團體。身為基督徒，特別是天主教徒，我們有義務和特權走向非天主教朋友，歡迎並協助他們，以執行天主的旨

意。

3. 團體：這最好的方式是透過我們的基信團和鄰居。我們主要的目的是走向非天主教朋友，和主內的兄弟姐妹一起來並肩祈禱，並鼓勵他們參與基信團體

。

因天主的特別降福，我們喜悅地在聖依納爵堂舉行“歡融基督”雕像的揭幕與祝聖儀式。

身為家主的基督，祂歡迎所有的人，包括窮人和邊緣人。祂給我們兩個重要與值得的教導，即謙遜和接觸窮人、失落者、以及不了解基督徒實職服務的彰碍者

如祂所言：“凡勞苦和負重擔的，你們都到我跟前來，我要使你們安息。”(瑪十一 28)

我祈望大家，不斷地領受天主聖父、聖子和聖神的愛與降福。阿門！

MESSAGE FROM OUR ASSISTANT PARISH PRIEST Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, The grace and peace of God, our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Let us thank our heavenly Father for the opportunity to learn from one other as a team in completing our 2014 pastoral theme: “Caring and Sharing, United in Christ”. It is gratifying that some of our BECs have visited groups of our brethren, caring and sharing with them Christ’s love. This can be seen through many activities, much team work and cooperation being fostered with unity in Christ. There are groups that have evangelized through carolling, and the distribution of Easter eggs. I am appreciative of your attempts to bringing Christ to those yet to know our Lord and letting them feel God’s love. Good work and well done! The committee members of both PPC and PCA have reviewed, reflected and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit have decided on the pastoral theme for 2015 : “To be a Worshipping, Welcoming and Caring Community” Worshipping is not only participating in liturgy or devotions but also a personal relationship with God. When God revealed to us His holiness, righteousness, love, mercy, supremacy and sovereignty, we show our reverence and love for God through worship as human kind is created to giving thanks and praising to God. Welcoming and Caring are the ways of Catholic life, as witnesses of Christ’s love for the world. In Matthew 25:40, Jesus says “Whenever you do this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you do it for Me.” Let us hope that with the warmth of welcome and sincere caring in our hearts, we will share God’s love with others, leading others to God’s family and encouraging our parish be a true home of God’s love. 感谢天父让我们能彼此学习，携手同行，落实去年本堂的目标：关怀与分享，在基督内合一。难得基信团有主动往外拜访，给予弱小

的弟兄关怀，照顾，让他们经验到基督的爱。同时也藉由堂区的各项活动，看到彼此间的合作，在基督内合一的精神。更可贵的是也

有团体向外福传，透过报佳音，分派复活蛋等把基督带给未认识天主的人让他们也感到天主的爱与温暖。加油！加油！

经过与议员们的检讨，省思和在圣神的带领下，我们决定把 2015年堂区牧民主题定为“成为一个敬拜，欢融与关怀的团体”。

敬拜不是参加一个宗教的活动或礼仪乃是个人与神之间的关系。当天主向我们彰显祂的圣洁，公义，慈爱，怜悯，尊贵和权能，我们

就自然从心里生发回应，表达我们对天主的敬畏与爱慕，这就是敬拜。敬拜神是人类受造的目的，也是人的本性。

欢融与关怀乃是我们基督徒实践信仰生活的一个方法，也就是去见证耶稣对世人的大爱。耶稣说：「你们对我这些最小兄弟中的一个所

做的，就是对我做的。」〈瑪廿五 40〉希望信友们藉着友爱亲善的气象与关怀能吸引更多的人愿意来到我们圣堂一起分享主的爱，皈依

天主，使我们的家成为一个真正主爱的家。

愿主基督的恩宠，和天主的爱情，以及圣神的相通，常与你们相偕。（格后 13：13）

2015 - 2016 Parish Plan

“And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it,

and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him” (Luke 24:30)

GOAL RATIONALE RESULT

1. To increase knowledge and understanding of all

liturgical celebrations (especially the Mass) through

full, conscious and active participation.

“The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the

church is directed; it is also the source from which all its power

flows.”

(Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, 10)

Increase in reverence and appreciation of the Mass and the

celebration of all of the Sacraments.

2. To deliver encouraging, enriching and engaging

homilies.

The homily enhances the faithful’s participation in the Liturgy

and provides a fitting way for the people of God to respond to

God’s Word.

Parishioners feel sufficiently challenged, inspired, moved,

educated and enlightened. They are also led to connect

the Scriptures in a more meaningful way in daily life, in

their decisions and their lifestyle.

3. To provide formal structured pastoral care to the

homebound, critically ill and bereaved families and

to comfort the grieving.

Families need spiritual and emotional support during trying

times. It is also a means of reaching out and evangelization.

To have an active Ministry by the end of 2015.

4. To provide on-going and systematic training (both

spiritual and instructional) to the various liturgical

team members.

“Full and active participation by all the people is the aim to be

considered before all else, for it is the primary and

indispensable source from which the faithful are to derive the

true Christian spirit.”

(Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, 14)

That the splendour and majesty of authentic Catholic

worship might shine forth more fully, transforming and

inspiring all of us to continue our baptismal mission of

being Christian witnesses in the world.

Worshiping Parish – Prayer & Sacramental Life




“They devoted themselves to the teachings of the apostles and to the communal

life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)


1. To provide pastoral care, counselling and

networking to the single again, single parents and

troubled youth and families.

A spirituality of communion also means an ability to think of our

brothers and sisters in faith within the profound unity of the

Mystical Body…..This makes us able to share their joys and

sufferings, to sense their desires and attend to their needs, to offer

them deep and genuine friendship.”

(Novo Millennio Ineunte, 43)

To have a structure and framework in place by the end of

2016.

2. To encourage parents to participate and be

involved in family faith formation and to install

Gospel values in their children.

According to the plan of God, marriage is the foundation of the

wider community of the family, since the very institution of

marriage and conjugal love are ordained to the procreation and

education of children, in whom they find their crowning.

Increased interest and participation in family programs

and activities in the parish.

3. To motivate and educate the congregation to reach

out to the needs of the physically challenged.

‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least

brothers of mine, you did for me.’

(Mat 25:40)

Encourage the assistance, care , acceptance and inclusion

of the physically challenged in parish life.

4. To provide spiritual, liturgical, social and cultural

opportunities for the migrant and expatriate

communities.

They need care, and we need to see them as people in need of care

and friendship. This is our responsibility as people of God.

Increased participation of migrants and the expatriate

community in parish events.

These small groups help the faithful to live as believing, praying and loving communities like the early Christians (cf. Acts 2:44-47; 4:32-35). They aim to help their members to live the Gospel in a spirit of fraternal love and service…” Ecclesia in Asia, #131-132


1. To proclaim the Good News and to invite the

non-Catholics in our neighbourhood to share in our

joy through living out the Gospel values.

A BEC is to be both prophetic and missionary and needs

to reach out to everyone by building bridges. The BECs

should take the role of becoming “promoters of

communion” for the common good of all.

An increased support of multi-faith activities. We begin to have a

deeper sense of respect and understanding of the different faiths and

cultures in our country There is a deeper appreciation of being in

harmony in our lived experience as citizens of multi-cultural society.

2. To educate the BECs to exhibit and enhance their

roles in community building thus encouraging

participation.

We are one body united in Jesus Christ. The communion

as expressed by the early Christian community – is the

communion of one mind and heart.

Active participation at BEC gatherings, events and to instil Christian

values by our words and actions.

3. To affirm active BEC members and to seek out

opportunities to grow with them.

“For where two or three are gathered together in my

name, there am I in the midst of them.”

(Matthew 18:20)

Shared responsibilities in the BEC and affirming that we are members

of a Christian community.

们活出像早期基督徒般，度一个虔诚、祈祷和友爱

的团体生活
