Hello neighbors! Spring has officially arrived, bringing with it the wonderful weather that makes Florida such an enjoyable place to live, work and play. As Tolstoy said, “Spring is the time of plans and projects” and Coral Trace is no exception! Your board has been busy undertaking a variety of activities to keep Coral Trace the beautiful and safe place we all like to live. A special workshop was held on March 17 to discuss the various projects underway or planned for the near future, followed by the monthly board meeting on March 19 to finalize upcoming activities. Among those were the:

• Completion of the retiling and resurfacing of our pool

• Selection and requisition of beautiful, all new pool furniture set to arrive in 4-6 weeks

• Repair of all cracked or elevated sidewalk areas

• Replacement of inoperable lighting for the front entrance sign

• Monitoring of the entry gates which have been functioning seamlessly other than the few times they were damaged by vehicles crashing into them. In those cases, drivers were identified and fined a minimum of $250 for the cost of repairs. We take these incidents seriously, so please advise your guests that ultimately the homeowner is responsible and billed for the damages.

• Implementing an initiative to update all homeowners’ and tenants’ email addresses for important communications regarding community activities, emergencies and other important news.

• Scheduling extensive landscape activities planned over the coming weeks to include a deep cut and leaf cleanup throughout the neighborhood, tree replacement and removals due to hurricane damage, sod replacement, palm seed pod trimming, western preserve trimming and sprinkler head repairs. Volunteer with the Coral Trace ARC (Architectural Review Committee) The architectural committee's responsibility comes from the association's bylaws or CC&Rs. Members of the architectural com-mittee are responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and structural integrity of the asso-ciation and enforcing the CC&Rs. They should review any applications for modifica-tions, additions, or architectural changes in the community. There are typically around 2-3 applications per month for review and rec-ommendations. If you would like more infor-mation or to volunteer, contact Bob Lop-erfido, Property Manager, at [email protected] .

Volunteer with the Coral Trace COP Program (Citizen Observer Patrol) – In partnership with the City of Delray Beach Police Department Would you like to become a part of the Coral Trace COP community volunteer team who help keep our neighborhood safe? COP program vol-unteers are trained to patrol the community in Volunteer Police Vehicles in an effort to deter potential crimes from happening. They are trained in communication equipment and obser-vation techniques and report suspicious activity directly to the police. After an initial training ses-sion at the Police Department, new volunteers are paired with an experienced member for sev-eral shifts. Volunteers are issued a uniform and asked to commit to a minimum of 8 hours per month, day or evening hours. If you would like more information or to join this important com-munity group, please contact Coral Trace COP Coordinator, John Mitchell at (561) 445-2074.

The Center welcomes adults age 50 and older. We emphasize lifelong wellness, with a focus on fun and learning. We offer many opportunities for older adults to be adventurous, learn new skills, socialize, and to meet new people. We want to “broaden our members’ horizons” through a wide variety of programs and classes.

Center is to support people with healthy lifestyle changes. We are dedicated to

helping people live healthier and happier lives free of chronic disease"

ADT Stay safe! The Coral Trace HOA provides alarm services through ADT Security Service as a part of your association fees, however in order for local emergency personnel to be alerted, you also need to register your alarm system annually with the City of Delray Beach Police Department at https://crywolf.mydelraybeach.com/RegForm/nethelp2/RegFormHelp.htm. For equipment questions or to activate your ser-vice with ADT, contact the ADT Community As-sociation Service Center 24 hours a day at (800)878-06. ___________________________________

GUEST PARKING Please do not use Guest Parking spaces for yourself. Request that your service personnel (maid, pest control, etc.) use your driveway or guest spots. ___________________________________

GARBAGE COLLECTION on Tuesdays and Fridays The crew will not pick up bags on curb – regular garbage must be in bins; plastic containers/bottles place in the correct bin; and paper/cardboard placed in correct bin – the crew will not separate these items and they will be left on curb. If your bins are damaged, call (561-202-2463) for delivery of new ones. The vegetation (tree branches etc.) is only picked up on Tuesdays. Recycles are on Friday. All garbage receptacles must be promptly removed and stored out of sight after collection service.
