This non allergenic, low itch, no smell fibre warms as your body cools and cools as you warm up.

The fleece of each Alpaca is unique in colour and tex-ture and can be blended with small quantities of Silk, Angora or Opossum.

You can purchase yarn, balls, skeins, hand spinning bumps, felt fabric for craft, 100% Suri and Suri - Huacaya blends as well as garments directly from us.

Open Knit Wrap with Cap SleevesSkill level: Easy. One size fits all.

MATERIALS:9 x 50gm 4 ply Alpaca yarn. 6mm knitting needles.

ABBREVIATIONS;Alt, alternate; beg, beginning; cont, continue; cm, cen-timetres; dec, decrease; inc, increase; K, knit; M, make; patt, pattern; psso, pass slip stitch over; rem, remaining; rep, repeat; rsf, right side facing; st(s) stitch(es); stst, stock-ing stitch (1 row Knit 1 row Purl); sl, slip; tbl, through back of loop; tog, together; wsf, wrong side facing; yfwd, yarn forward; yrn, yarn around the needle.

WORKING SIDEWAYS:Right front, back & left front. Using 6mm needles cast on 97sts.

BEADED RIB BANDS:**1st Row: *P2 K1 P1 K1* P22nd Row: *K2 P3 K2**

KNIT THIS PATTERN FOR 12CMS. Ending with a 2nd row patt.

MAIN PATTERN:1st Row: K2 P3 Knit to the last 5 sts P3 K2.2nd Row: P2 K1 P1 K1 Purl to the last 5 sts K1 P1 K1 P2.

Last 2 rows form the main pattern. Continue in main pattern until work measures 55cms from the end of the beaded rib. Beg shaping for first armhole.

Keeping the main pattern correct continue as follows:***1st Row: patt 50sts, cast off the next 18 sts. Patt to the end.Continue on these last 29sts for upper armhole shaping.2nd Row: Patt to the last 2sts, P2 tog.3rd Row: K2 tog, patt to end. Rep last 2 rows until 25sts rem.6th Row: Patt to end, tying a coloured thread at the end of row to indicate sleeve fold.7th Row: Inc in first st, patt to end.8th Row: Patt to last, in last st. Rep last 2 rows until 29sts rem.Break off yarn and leave sts on needle.

With wsf, join yrn to rem 50sts for lower armhole shaping.1st Row: P2 tog, patt to end.2nd Row: Patt to last 2 sts K2 tog. Rep last 2 rows once 46sts.5th Row: Patt to end, tying a coloured thread at beg of row to indicate sleeve fold.6th Row: Patt to last st, inc in last st.7th Row: Inc in the first sts, patt to end. Rep last 2 rows until 50sts rem.Next Row: Patt 50 turn, cast on 18sts, turn, patt across rem 29sts (97sts). Continue in main pattern until the work meas-ures 46cm from 1st sleeve fold ending with a 2nd row patt.***

Beg shaping for 2nd armhole. Rep from *** to ***. Cont, in main patt until work measures 55cms ending with a 2nd patt row. Beg beaded rib pattern ** ** for 12cms. Cast off loosely in rib.

CAP SLEEVE: Using 6mm needles cast on 47sts.1st Row: *P2 K1 P1 K1 *2nd Row: *K2 P3 K2*

Rep last 2 rows once, dec 1st at each end of the last row (45).Working rem in stocking stitch, dec 1st at each end of the next and following alt rows until 39sts rem, then every row until 13sts rem. Cast off loosely.

TO MAKE UP:Place centre of sleeve to upper coloured thread, sew cap sleeves in position leaving 6cm of armhole open. Sew in ends. To enhance drape effect, press rib band gently with cool iron.

Note: Tack sew seams with contrasting coloured yarn, to get a good fit and then sew in correct colour. It is easier to unpick.
