Course description

Hands-on denture characterisation technique on an upper waxed-up denture using Merz Artegral teeth in combination with the Merz PremEco Line flasking technique in hydrocolloid reversible gel - processing dentures in cold-cure pouring acrylic including characterisation and staining. The effective complete prosthetics system.

Quality Control and Documentary Proof:

There will be no formal assessment other than a standard course evaluation form which must be completed by each delegate and logged within our quality management system to qualify as verifiable CPD in accordance with GDC guidelines. On successful completion of this course the delegate will receive a signed Course Certificate.

With a true passion for dentistry from an early age, Roy Davies began his studies in prosthetics at Llandaff College in Wales. He then gained experience from working with a number of private laboratories before working with a specialist prosthetics dentist for 15 years during which time he gained invaluable experience within the industry.

Roy then went on to work directly for Myerson UK & Europe as Technical Consultant and Trainer. He continues to travel extensively

across Europe, Russia and the USA presenting his specialist courses and renowned “True-to-Life” denture seminars. Roy frequently submits articles for publications such as The Dental Lab Journal, Dental Technologies (Europe) and Private Dental Laboratory.

Whilst continuing with his lecturing, Roy also works at Oakview Restorations heading up their in-house prosthetics department, and will finish his finals as a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) in June 2015.
