RE: Submission of Council Reports, Proposal of Amendment to the
Codified Rules on StudentRegent Selection (CRSRS) and 1st semester
assessments
Dear fellow student leaders,
Greetings of solidarity!
Various issues have hounded the iskolar ng bayan this semester.
High tuition rates, fees, repressive policies
and the effects of commercialization are only a few of these
issues. Moreso, we have united the various
student formations and faced the impending UP budget cut and the
pork barrel issue.
In line with this, the OSR would like to remind everyone that
only a handful of student councils/governments
have submitted their council reports to the Office of the
Student Regent as of September this year. The council
reports will be used as references for the issues and concerns
that will be raised by the Student Regent during
Board meetings. You can submit your report before the next BOR
meeting which is set on September 30.
Secondly, the OSR wishes to remind everyone that the deadline
for the submission of proposed amendments
to the Codified Rules on Student Regent Selection (CRSRS) will
be on October 1, 2013. Should you have any
please submit them to the Office of the Student Regent located
at the Vinzons Hall Basement, UP Diliman,
Quezon City or thru email at [email protected]. We will be
accepting them until 5:00 PM of the said
date.
Lastly, the OSR is encouraging all student councils to hold a
semestral assessment of the activities and
campaigns that have been launched by your respective student
councils. The assessment will greatly help in
the formulation and enhancement of plans of action for the next
semester. Please inform the OSR of your
scheduled date/s for planning for the 2nd semester and furnish
us a copy of your assessment of your activities
for the 1st semester, if there is any.
