Measuring & OrderingClassic Stone Mantels in both the Majestic and Classic Series are available in standard and custom sizes. If you require a custom size, each mantel has a few dimensions that can change within a range (see Dimension Table for each mantel). Surround Facing is available in standard adjustable pieces or custom made to fi t your fi rebox opening size and location from the fl oor. This fl exibility means that, in most cases you may choose the exact size that best fi ts your situation. Follow our step-by-step ordering instructions on the website after choosing your mantel style.

Easy InstallationMantel components are relatively lightweight as compared to solid limestone and may be installed using a high-strength construction adhesive. Some components may require reinforcement with screws.

Care and MaintenanceVariation of Color and Texture: All cast Natural Stone & Honed products have a degree of expected variation in shade, texture and veining. These characteristics are part of the stone, are to be expected and enhance the beauty of the fi replace mantels.

Minor Repairs: Occasionally during shipping or handling when installing a chip may occur, fortunately repairs are simple and all materials necessary are included with your mantel package. We send a two part mixture that when combined form a thick paste that creates a patching and caulking compound that matches the stonecast material and color. It is simple to apply for repairs as well as caulking seams.

Product Surface: Mantels are sealed at the factory to protect the fi nish and help prevent stains. However, natural stone is a porous surface so stains may still develop if spills are not removed immediately. To further protect the grout joints and surfaces it is strongly recommended that all new cast stone mantel products be resealed after installation.

Sealers: It is recommended that you use a high quality sealer that can be purchased from a local home center or tile and stone retailer. Test any new sealer on an inconspicuous spot to ensure that you are satisfi ed with the outcome before sealing the entire surface area. When applying a sealer make sure that all surfaces are clean and dry and then carefully follow the instructions provided on the product packaging.

• Mantels generally ship in 3 parts (2 legs, and mantel shelf). Lifting a leg is typically a one person job, while a mantel shelf requires two people.

• Surround facing may be ordered in a single custom piece (sized for your fi rebox opening) or in a 3 piece adjustable kit that slides within the cavity of the mantel.

• The number of Overmantel pieces varies by style and height, but are typically separated in manageable components for easy handling and installation.
