OUR WEEKLY MISSIONSILENT FESTIVAL SUMMER PROGRAM: After much thought and prayer, we have decided to end our Silent Festival Summer Program (the extra blue envelope you receive in your monthly envelope packet from May through October.) The program didn’t follow Diocesan guidelines and was no longer profitable. We are very grateful to
all our parishioners who have supported and contributed to this program over the years. If you are able and still wish to help the parish out with an extra donation in the summer, please consider using your Repairs and Maintenance envelope found in your monthly envelope packet. These funds are used for much needed repairs and maintenance on all the buildings on the parish grounds. It would help tremendously and benefit all if you could contribute in this way. We thank you for your support and understanding of our decision.CATCHING FIRE YOUNG ADULT GROUP: Do you know any young people ages 18-39 who are interested in growing in their Catholic faith? We have many young people who are growing in relationship with Jesus Christ and are looking to meet other great young Catholics every Sunday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. If you know anyone who would like to be part of this awesome group, please email either Joe Vicario at [email protected] or Jimmy Ludwig at [email protected] to be put on an email list and get more information.PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Jesus’ real presence in the Holy Eucharist is the heart and soul of our Catholic Faith. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Corpus Christi Adoration Weekend by spending time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. We are blessed at St. Columbkille to have a 24-hour Eucharistic Adoration Chapel located in our Parish Center next to the credit union. The chapel is open during the day from 6:00 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. to everyone, and during the overnight hours we haveregular adorers who enter using the electronic keypad. Weare in need of regular adorers for the following hours: Sunday10:00-11:00 a.m., 12:00-1:00 p.m., 3:00-4:00 p.m.; Saturday2:00-3:00 p.m., 4:00-5:00 p.m., 4:00-5:00 a.m.; Friday 10:00-11:00 a.m., 2:00-3:00 p.m., 1:00-2:00 a.m.; Monday 3:00-4:00a.m.; Tuesday 3:00-4:00 p.m. and Thursday 4:00-5:00 p.m.For more information, please contact Scott and Mandy Effertzat (216) 310-6831 or call the Parish Office. Never forget, theLord is with us, always!

OPPORTUNITIES FOR PRAYER
FATHER JAMIE’S HEALING HUMORA US soldier stationed in Germany got a “dear John” letter from his sweetheart telling him she was going to marry a sailor, and to please return the photo she had given him. They collected photos from every GI and shipped an enormous crate of them back to the fickle girl. When she opened the crate, the accompanying note read: “Please pick out your picture and return the rest to me – I don’t remember which one is yours.”
(from JOKES PRIESTS CAN TELL,VOL. 2, by Msgr. Arthur Tonne, 1984)
Remember: our greatest freedom comes from being children of God, God whose beautiful creation was given to all mankind. Let us try to travel lightly with the things of this world, so each person of every country may have a full share of them.

CANANIGHTOur first CanaNight was a huge success and we're excited to announce our next one coming up on Friday, July 12th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Slyman's Tavern in Independence. Fr. Patrick Schultz will be our featured speaker. CanaNights is a new bimonthly gathering of Catholic couples sponsored by Marriages of Grace. This is a great way for couples to explore various themes related to marriage and family life, and to connect with others who are striving to live according to the Church's beautiful vision of married love. Each CanaNight will begin with a fun and relaxing social time which includes complimentary appetizers and a cash bar, followed by an inspirational speaker. We ask for a $5.00 donation to cover costs. Larger donations are welcome and greatly appreciated, and will help Marriages of Grace continue its mission. No reservation is required for this event - we hope to see you there! For more information, please visit http://marriagesofgrace.org/Events.
