Thank you for considering me for the Transmission Efficiency Optimization project with General Motors. I am highly interested in joining this team and working on this project for several reasons. Notably, I have interest and academic experience in Development, Fabrication and optimization of Drive-lines for self designed hybrid racing vehicles. Also, I have two years of experience with Power-train and overall vehicle assembly. I have a Diploma in Mechanical Computer Aided Design and am honing my skills with AMESIM and MATLAB for this project work. As an Automobile Engineering major, I have taken courses on Internal Combustion Engines and Alternative Energy solutions, and am currently working on a Diesel Engine downsizing project with Professor Andre Boehman. I am planning to take up more courses on Power-train Design in the subsequent semesters. I have been involved in projects where I have gained knowledge practically that could assist me to understand and to do well in this project opportunity. I am efficient, highly trained and knowledgeable with great interpersonal skills. The opportunity to apply the knowledge I acquired, coupled with hard work and eagerness to learn will allow me to exceed your expectations if I were awarded this position.
