Common Bulletin Insert Chatham-Kent CRC’s Sunday, May 24, 2015 PRAYER LIST CALVARY CHURCH: Last weekend Tim Wolting was admitted to hospital after experiencing headaches. An MRI revealed there was a tumour on his brain. Tim underwent surgery Tuesday night; the results of a tumour biopsy are expected in the next week or so. Tim is recovering in the Windsor hospital. We are very grateful to everyone for their concern and prayers. FIRST CHURCH: Happy birthday to Mr. John Roemer, who is turning 88 on the 28th, and to Mrs. Ann Dekker, who is turning 88 on the 30th. Have a blessed day. Grace VanRooyen remains in hospital under doctor’s care. Tina VanderSluis continues to recuperate at home. Joanna Wielhouwer has moved to room W276 at Chatham Retirement Resort 519-380-7928. Bill Veldboom is thankful that the x-ray on Wednesday May 20th showed up good at London Victoria Hospital. The neck brace only has to be worn intermittently a few weeks more. Continue to pray for those shut-in, and if you are able, they always appreciate a visit. GRACE CHURCH: Happy Birthday to Edith Brinkman, who turns 72 on May 25 and to Hank DeBoer, who turns 80 on May 29. May you each have a blessed day! We continue to pray for Jane Dekker, who is now home and hoping to regain her strength there. John Tolsma is also hoping to regain some strength at home and relief from discomfort. Hank and Georgina Vandezande are currently residing at Eden Villa, as Georgina recuperates with assisted care from a wrist fracture, which is rendering her immobile right now. Tim Wolting, son of Ralph and Willy Wolting, underwent surgery for a brain tumour this past week. We pray for strength and comfort for this family as they now wait for test results of the biopsy.     CHURCH COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS The 12th Annual CCS Golf Tournament will be held Sat., June 13th at Blenheim Golf Course. Registration is from 11:30-12:15 with a shot gun start at 12:30. Cost is $100 per golfer (tax receipt of $50), which includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes.     Another Dutch Hymn Sing is planned for May 31st in the Living Hope Free Reformed Church at 159 Gregory Drive East, Chatham @ 7.30 p.m. Join us in singing the well-known Psalmen en Gezangen. There will be a social time afterwards.

    Wallaceburg Christian School You are invited to join us for our annual year-end celebration BBQ on Friday, June 12, from 5-6:30 p.m. We will be set up on our back lawn with good food and fellowship, as we end our 54th year of Christian education in Wallaceburg, Dresden and surrounding areas. Calling all Youth: Tillsonburg Christian Reformed Youth would like to invite you to a youth service at our church, 150 Concession St. West, to be held on Sunday, May 31 at 10:00 am. Pastor Syd Hielema, Director of Faith Formation of the Christian Reformed Church in Canada will speak on the topic "Spirit Shaped Salt and Light". We will also be privileged to witness the public professions of faith of several of our youth. Join us for a time of mingling over a soup and buns lunch followed by out-door games after the service. For the past 34 years, Chatham Christian High School (CCHS) has established a Chatham Community Scholarship Fund to promote the further education of CCHS graduates. Each year we ask for support from staff, student council, and our supporting community. This year we hope to award a scholarship to one or more of our graduating students (Class of 2015) with these funds. We will be serving desserts, and sharing about mission experience we had in Jamaica during March Break. You will hear about the opportunities we had serving in Jamaica, as we 'loved on' the people at the Infirmary, Children's Home for abused children, and the Wood Hall Primary School.
