May 2016 Greetings!, May is one of my favorite times on campus as our students prepare for the highlight of the year, Commencement, on Saturday, May 28th. Commencement formally recognizes the transition to a new stage in our students' lives. Their next step, whether further studies or a professional career, is one that has been shaped by their experiences at SRJC. Our graduates will continue their pursuit of knowledge, solve important problems, structure solutions and make lasting contributions to our community. This year, for the first time, we are also honoring our Career and Technical Education certificate students with a new annual event called Celebrate CTE. On Friday, May 27th from 4:30-6:00 p.m. on the Santa Rosa Campus under the oaks, please join us to celebrate more than 250 of our students who have pursued these career routes. They will be receiving what used to be known as vocational certificates. Share your advice with our new graduates on how to be a success in their chosen pursuits in the link below.
