“Every action has an equal or opposite reaction.”

- Sir Issac Newton

D&AD TOMS - REACT

A campaign that relies on the notion that only once an audience member has acted will the TOMS reaction reveal. This interactive campaign requires audience participation

to expose the counter message about how TOMS take costumer’s everyday purchases and creates something greater from them.

Changing Lives

Looking into the four main routes where Changing Lives help people, my group of four and I decided to create a ‘wrap around’ poster campaign that both raised awareness of the charity and tackled the stigmas that these areas may face. Based on the idea that the charity helped people ‘turn a corner’ we also wanted to help the public turn a corner with their stigmas.

A call to action campaign based on the idea that men should not have to lower the toilet seat after using it.

break the seal is a pastiche campaign using reference to Government Equalities Office to grab the attention of the public and create a parody comparison between the serious face value and light-hearted topic. The identity at first glance looks as though it uses GEO’s identity, however it has been adapted to contain 7 related objects hidden within it.

Matt KnightAge: 22D.O.B: 21/04/1994Marital status: SingleNorthumbria University graduate: First-class [email protected][email protected] Address: 6 Saxonbury Avenue, Sunbury on Thames, Surrey, TW16 5HP

Personal ProfileDuring my time at Northumbria I spent my second and third year as Secretary and co-founder of the Graphic Design Society. This society was set up by myself and a fellow chairwoman to create an opportunity for graphic design students from all years and pathways to come together to fundraise for their degree show and create new social networks outside of their current social circles.

During my second year at University, I was also a course rep for Graphic Design. As course rep, I attended regular meetings to convey the thoughts of my year about our course to help the tutors better understand what we value and how we think it could be improved.

When at home in Sunbury on Thames I tend to help out at my local Youth theatre. I have a keen interest in the theatre and used to be a member of the youth group where I took part in two annual shows a year. Whilst there, I would also be asked to design the advertisements for the upcoming plays and help create and build the set designs. For my final year there, I was part of the committee as one of two Youth reps, for which I had to be voted in by my peers and the current society directors.
