Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

St. Mary’s Parish News Summer Masses: Summer is here and we are giving our choir a well deserved vacation. Pentecost Sunday was our last Sunday our full choir will sing until Labor Day Weekend. As is customary in most parishes, Summer is a time for beautiful, but simple liturgies due to the fact that many people travel during these vacation months. We will have our organist and cantor to lead the hymns and no incense. Thank you to our choir for all of their great work this year!

There will be No Coffee Hour Today due to set up for the Corpus Christi celebration!

2015 Bishop’s Annual Appeal ReportIn the first 5 months of 2015, the Bishop’s Annual Appeal has collected over $2.3 million dollars in donations. Our parish families have contributed $25,465 toward our goal of $17,217. This represents 147.91% of our goal from 15.41% of our registered households. Please keep in mind that our parish receives 50% of all funds raised above our appeal target. Each year our Annual Appeal presents us with a unique opportunity. It gives us the chance to look outside our own parish boundaries and support the wider Church of our Diocese. As Catholics, we are part of the universal Church which means we are joined together with our brothers and sisters throughout the state of South Carolina and the world. Bishop Guglielmone has invited all of our parish families to participate in the appeal by making a donation to support our diocesan ministries. Please prayerfully consider making a gift to the BAA if you have not already done so. Pledge envelopes are available in the back of church. The focus this year is on our total participation on behalf of all Catholic households in the Diocese. All gifts, regardless of amount, are welcomed and appreciated.Thank you for your help in making this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal a success. May God Bless you for your generosity and sacrifice.

“The greatest love story of all time is contained in a tiny white Host.”

- Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
