Aldridge Music will again entertain the Fraser Coast Community with industry standard student acts and special guest artists. Our 2021 in-stalment will include 3 live stages, an acoustic festival atmosphere and a Fi-nale Showcase Music Concert. With guest artists “Freight Train Foxes” and Brisbane based band “Straight Up Jazz Collective” this concert will be for all ages and music lovers.

From AGTs (Aldridge Got Talent) to Aldridge Showcase Nights, the time has certainly flown, and Mr Hodgo (Music Teacher) has always promised the Aldridge family an epic reunion.... so here it is!! Returning students have been men-toring our music kids and this show will feature hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and Now. Over 20 Genres of music will be on show and your $10 ticket gains you entry to all live stages and includes auditorium entry for the epic Finale.

Our “Celebration of Music” day will start at 3pm with acoustic tunes by the beautiful Mary River which then will lead into a Jazz/ Rock Club Foy-er. Once the Sun sets and auditorium opens, (6:15pm) our guests will be entertained by.

Our program is passionate about developing performance skills and building upon theoretical knowledge for all future pathways. Our students learn from Industry Professionals and over the past 10 years, have created direct links with Queensland Music Universities.

ABOUT:ABOUT:Aldridge students are provided with the opportunity to study Music as ei-ther a Core or Extension offering. Our musicians partake in a minimum of 55 minutes each day. Curriculum music classes are part of ATAR and QCE Assessment and from junior to senior develops skills in Performance, Com-position and Musicology as it’s three focus dimensions.

As an extra-curricular offering, students may also participate in Instrumen-tal music which includes Concert band, Strings, Piano, Vocals and Guitar tuition. The entire program is designed to encourage the enjoyment and pursuit of excellence in music, performance and engagement.

ties, our engaged students work with five of the most passionate teachers in the Australia. From beginner to industry professional, Aldridge Music is the only choice for music in the Wide Bay. Music can be studied all YEAR LONG and is the only junior elective with this opportunity.

FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE:FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE:Our tuition and program is delivered across the entire week by a number of specialist musicians and coaches. Their experience and expertise truly compliment any indi-vidual student’s goals. From performing for the first time in a band (live or virtual), pre-senting a public solo, sitting an AMEB exam or audition, ATAR curriculum assistance, releasing an EP or looking at a career pathway in the creative industry...MUSIC at Aldridge is for you!

We currently have two recording studio rooms, a small music auditorium, Brolga Theatre stage access for our large productions and over $ 30,000 invested into regular music coaches who visit from the Queensland Con-servatorium of Music.

TEACHER: TEACHER: Mr Hodgkinson has been a part of Aldridge High since 2009 and is known as “Hodgo”. He is partic-ularly gifted in bringing people (staff, parents and students) together to achieve. His ability to engage, motivate, challenge and enhance student learning supports the observation that in this case vocation and “calling” are in complete alignment. This pas-sion has seen him be awarded Fraser Coast Educa-tor of the Year in 2019 and his love for Music be-comes infectious from Year 7 until graduation!

lective”, featuring Meg Burstow former school DUX and alumni of 2013. Special thank you to 2011 School Captain Alumni, Pat Kenny, for

involving his indie-folk duo “Freight Train Foxes”.Thank you to our Instrumental Music Teachers, David Sue Yek, Claudia

Zorbas, Adam Hodgkinson, as well as Ken Hodgkinson who returned this year to help with our Instrumental Music Program.

Final thanks go to our cast and crew who every year put in an extreme amount of energy and effort into these productions to entertain the

Fraser Coast Community. Lastly, thank you to the parents/care givers of the students in our Music

Program who support the hours of practicing and travel to and from rehearsals. We appreciate your continued support!
