How to read our catalog: the images of the sites, the related offers on code, the under titled descriptions, introduced by this catalog concerning the Piceno area, and the neighboring counties are the main referring points to allow the tourist to express needs and whishes about the tour he wants to achieve. Please note that the “demand” is accepted also for itinerary regarding the whole Marche region.

Who we are and how we work.Understanding the above brief preface, our task is to be faithful to the vocation of fulfilling market expectations. Such orientation requires from our side the commitment not to propose preset offers but to offer several choices: of where to go, suitable accommodations, what to do, what to see, and how to use the spare time once the destination is reached. By this mean, to facilitate and guide the choices we segmented the touristic product in 2 areas, “Travel” and “Accommodations”. Travel to report general usefulinformation, and the cut to give to the tour. Accommodations to list all the services we offer. Analyzing each related prospect , whoever is interested now he can make his choice. At this point we are obligated to insure the best professional assistance hoping to have every one perceiving our complete availability, in a situation where the client is not a passive subject but the protagonist. Based on answers we received, we set up a custom made offer, a related synoptic card will be attached to it, as a pilot description of the different steps within the offer. As an alternative, or to integrated, we could supply a audio/visual computerized instrument – iPod – for the available itinerary. Such procedure (see p. 12) comes parallel to the traditional one, just to keep the balance with the ordinary system, and so we have also closed offers,or preset, it can be found inside the fold (reverse) at the last page. Those offers may seem closed but could prospect within the basic offer, alternatives and solutions toward different directions. Please note that some of the parts on display in this catalog are on colors, this to have an immediate concept of the theme introduced, using the same color that the theme has.

The first decision to be made when has been decided to travel is where to go or where to go back. This is certain! By this mean, as a tribute to the principle of working to satisfy every need, we sell in the first instance “the place”.

The Marche: The only region in Italy with a plural name, also known as “Italy

within one region” This introduction, that already tells the story, has been proved by the elements on the cover, as can

be seen all the components of touristic attraction synthesized on the cover, as reference points , are

present everywhere. This to emphasize some more the plurality of the name itself, almost to create a rich anthology of high values contents. Such peculiarity always comes across because we are not in the presence of a territorial uniformity, as is the case in other places, where, to pass from a situation to another is necessary to undergo long and stressing transfers. The charm of this land stays in the fact that in a small amount of time and distance, the choices of the above territorial components are always by

hand. For each turn, the all vision even changing, recomposes itself,

this is the magic of a non paradox, that characterizes the Marche region, making it a

territory of excellence.

Piceno means... with Leopardi on the Marche region footsteps.

Going slowly down south, along the Adriatica costal road, you can feel of going through an intact and pristine land. Once you pass Ancona (the spur), and Loreto, the landscape changes without losing the beauty and attractiveness. To the first sensation now you can add the awareness that this land has in this recurrent beauty of the environment and landscape, its own common denominator. Just a little ahead you are in the land of the Piceni. The show that nature offers does not change, only the colors, the dimensions, and the heights vary. This part of the region is in fact characterized by mountains reaching up to 2500 m. above sea level and those skylines reflections has been call by Leopardi “…those blue mountains…”. The woods are rich in larch, beech and chestnut, and gets the typical Mediterranean intense green, mitigated by the crops of those slowly sloping hills reaching the sea at the bottom. The sea is near, you can touch it. The component of sea/mountains binomial intended as nature’s expressions totally opposed as positions, structure, power and colors, in the contest we are taking into consideration, found each other frequently, always touching under every point of view, in a blink of an eye, Leopardi described it this way: “…then the sea from far, and then the mountain…”From the chain of mountains hosting the Sibillini National Park, being part of the central Appennini, we have a green carpet sloping down to the sea with many hills dotting the surface. Among those hills we have wide and fertile valleys oriented toward the sea and intersected by other minor openings. Each hill has a slope going down and up to the next facing hill, generating that undulating latch of smooth hills, that is the appreciated peculiar land mark of the Marche hinterland.Riding the crest of those hills we found small towns rich in art, little burgs, rural mansions, that can be reached going up the crest of the hills. From here the eye spaces over a landscape view that fulfill completely the mean of the expression … “breathtaking”. The emotion is so strong looking over the reach of human eye to generate into the Poet the concept of infinito, used only as a literary expression, but impossible to imagine and to perceive in the real dimension. The Piceno area articulating from the park to the sea, headed by Ascoli Piceno extended by territorial uniformity, from Fermo up to Macerata has been presented without using superlative adjectives, is not necessary, we live it to your imagination, when and if you want to discover it.

The slogan we have in our logo: “creative tourism”, means that the packages are studied and created based on reported needs this includes the impossibility to prospect offers with flexible programs, on preset prices, because it will be influenced by the variety of the services included.

Code 3.5.04 Bums of the greenAn article written by Don Giuseppe Fabiani - a famous historian and educator born in Ascoli Piceno 1897/1965 - published in 1945 inspired this proposal. We gladly report a little fragment of the above mentioned article to reassume the high value of such proposal …is nice to stroll around searching only a feeling, a sensation, a memory into those streets… and we are adding ...and hike those hills, and descent into those valleys. We are talking about an excursion, a walk, without a defined program, without big goals or definite destinations, hunting only for a casual panoramic views, little towns, ancient burg, rural mansions, all those curiosity that you can encounter playing the up and down game in the wavy rural hinterland of this beautiful region. Once you start to go up and let yourself go, you get inebriated by the green of this wine land. A walk that restores the body, and is helpful for the spirit, is worth alone the whole trip, to save a timeless memory. With the program we indicate only the itinerary basic directions, the rest is an enjoyable “do it yourself”.

Code 3.5.05 … braying to … the unbelieversWe are talking about a particular excursion along the slight dorsal line facing the sea. You will not ride on top of a donkey but you will be walking with some of them, discovering the very little known beautiful nature of such animal, very difficult to meet on a everyday base. Not only a playful aspect, we also are operating, assisted by specialized teams, the “onoterapia” a branch of the pet therapy, proved – for the unbelievers – to be very helpful for everybody, from children to the elderly.

Code 3.5.06 Piceno by the bikeWe are bringing to your attention an initiative taken by local Authorities . It a project called “Bike Hotel”, it includes 30 itineraries suited for bikes, on the mountains, by the sea, on the hills, along the most suggestive trails of the territory, with different stress levels, distance and time length. This allow us to be able to organize, based on reported needs, custom made tours divided in stages, using the receptive structures met on the way.

Such procedure, based on the main principles of the marketing discipline, it is not the only commercial formula that has been adopted; without renouncing to said orientation, the catalog is enriched with an index, being an integral part of it, located inside the fold of the last cover, containing preset proposals, to understand each other better, already quoted for the offer.

By this catalog, some new solutions have been introduced, on the way your accommodations and your staying should be, to be selected and put together to compose the package. Each one of those constitute itself a travel proposal. But usually a program is set including more than one solution to be quantified based on the length of the tour.

Code 2.1.01 ASCOLI PICENO Art CityAncient city made of stone, founded over 2000 years ago, Ascoli Piceno has a well known reputation of being among the most beautiful small cities of Italy when art is concerned. Ascoli bears a most relevant urban complex, made of art and history, with roman testimonials, Romanesque, from the middle age, and the renaissance. The city is surrounded completely by mountains and hills, only on the east side it opens toward the nearby sea, moving on this direction, during the years toward the natural urban development. Such aspect made, out of the old city of that time, the historic center of today’s Ascoli, and just like in the past, is detached, and is circumscribed within the “doors” – some of them still extant -, by fortification walls, and the “canyons” made by the torrents passing around, as an unbeatable defensive line. The historic center being completely flat, could be seen and enjoyed entirely on feet. You will not miss remaining in the city limits, similar testimonials, in the immediate surroundings.

Code 2.1.02 How to visit AscoliFlat walking itinerary into the historic center. A beautiful walk into the core of Medieval Ascoli to see and enjoy the city as it was back then, today still intact. A series of synopsis cards is an integral part of the package, and allows to follow, in an easy manner the described itinerary, completed with illustrations. It is also possible, under request, to accomplish the same itinerary using as a guide an audio/visual instrument called ipod.

The options, in this catalog, are coded to easy up the reporting. Obviously it is not possible to cover all the situations that are present in the territory. To notify personal needs, the desired argument can be pin pointed filling the contact form at p.13.

Code 1.6.01 Parking in Ascoli PicenoTourists reaching Ascoli are facing some problems to find a parking space into the historic center. To the customers buying a package including an overnight staying in Hotel, even out of the township, will be offered the possibility to use the SABA parking lot which is covered, supervised and located into the historic center itself. Such service is offered completely at no charge, for the whole length of the visit: day time and overnight staying. The parking lot is in a strategic location, using an elevator the tourist is immediately into the core of the medieval historic center. The tools and the modality to benefit this service will be given with the traveling paper.

Code 3.5.02 Excursion over San Marco hillThis hill overlooking Ascoli and the valley, belongs to a series of hills and mountains chained to each other, and opened only on the east side toward the sea. Is located only few km. from the city, can be reached in less than 30 minutes. During all the steps of the excursion, a beautiful panoramic view, will be always present no matter if you are on the way to S. Marco, on its plateau, or on the road that continues up to Piselli Mountains 1000 m. above sea level. Especially on a clear day, this view that spaces over the human sight in a dimension that gives you the sensation of infinite. The sight from the horizon of the sea, wanders through those many hills coming back up to the observation point to get lost raising the head, over the peaks of the nearby Piselli Mountains in a complete “outdoor day”, helpful for body and soul.

Code 3.2.01 Sports for the fewCode 3.2.01 – Rafting: in different levels of difficulties, can be practiced even without bringing the equipment, on the Umbrian side of the Sibillini Mountains.Code 3.2.02 – Bouldering: there are in the immediate Ascoli surrounding 3 places, very appreciated by the lovers of this discipline, they can be reached only in few minutes.Code 3.2.03 – Paragliding: from the internationally well known elevated plateau of the Sibillini Mountains, this discipline can be practiced in the presence of a constant climbing current which allows an easy and enjoyable flight over a view rich colors and shades.

Piceno means...first, a set of unequal terrestrial and marine contours: standing up toward the sky the peaks of high mountains, of national park, the only one in the Marche region, opportunity for trekking, excursions with different degrees of difficulty, in the underlying valleys rich of a succession of secular woods slowly sloping down and drawing pleasant hills, rich in a luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation, then fertile valleys plowed by rivers oriented to the nearby sea, welcomed by expanses of velvety sand beaches, the bottom of the sea is flat low and sandy, allowing for an incredible comfortable and warm bathing.Second, a riche presence of rare treasures of which is the secular custodian, scattered in a contest of art cities, ancients burgs, old rural mansions. And then again, it means, to meet an unexpected culinary culture, capable to transmit strong sensations. In short, wine and gastronomy in line with the environmental beauty.

… and then again … to fulfill the meaning of the expression “Territory of excellence”

Code 3.5.01 Sibillin Park excursionsThere are several foot trails traced within the Park, ranging from a simple walk, to a standard easy touristic excursion, some more demanding up to sport trekking, all in different degrees of difficulty, and time length. Local guides are available to propose the itinerary that fit at best the needs, and eventually to consider accompaniment service, to be charged a part, if not included in the package.

Code 3.5.06 The Palm RivieraIs made by a long beach front costal road, headed by S. Benedetto del Tronto, internationally famous resort city, this Riviera starts from the extreme southern point and in its way toward north, incorporates many little cities, creating a unique and very significant urban agglomerate. The name comes from the hundreds of palms disseminated on the way, giving to those locations a distinctive oriental look that starts in S. Benedetto goes through the neighboring Grottammare, up to the nearby Cupramarittima. This route has on the side a bicycle path with only few obstacles, easy to overcame, it goes for just about 20 km. starting right underneath the palms to end up directly to the sea grazing the shore line. The water front in S Benedetto is magnificent, recently enriched by gardens customized to a theme, is well known to be among the most beautiful in Europe, and may more than that… Sunny mornings dedicated to the sea and the sun, afternoons spent for biking or walking through those shadowed avenues, or a shopping into center city’s streets for quality merchandise, without ignoring the opportunity offered by the hinterland sites, concerning Art, Nature, Gastronomy.

Code 3.5.03 Excursions by boats into the seaLeaving from S. Benedetto north pier, with the weather and the sea in good conditions, it is possible to have a little cruise at large, with a time length usually of 3 hours. During this time, a lot of sun, a nice test driving on the bridge rudder, a sea water whirlpool, in a Iacuzzi tub, and one meal based on typical seafaring cuisine, short noodles with scampi (langostine), mussels in a lemon sauce, wine and coffee. The boat is available by reservations, and with a 30 people limit, if the presences number is not reached, will be necessary to modify the price.

Just like the product, for the touristic offer, toward a better interaction with the market, we divide the meaning into two distinct terms: proposal and program. By the proposal we indicate the code, title, location and the characteristics of the journey. Then, to follow the description concerning schedules of contents which, even briefly, touches the most important points of the tour in the way that makes possible to prefigure a route, and to take a decision;

Code 2.1.03 Fermo City of ArtA territory that continues to propose the same unmistakable variety seen in the Piceno and that characterizes the all region. Erected on top of a hill sheering from the sea, surrounded by gentle hills here we have Fermo, the capitol of a new province (country). The city coming from the sea appears at first look majestic and imposing. But is enough to go into the streets within the ancients walls, to “taste” the millenarian history of this place, and to enjoy through a series of itineraries, many valuable testimonials, making Fermo, a very welcoming city, of noble and ancient origins, rich in art and culture.

Code 2.1.04 How to visit FermoFermo ramifies starting from above where the Cathedral is, along the slopes of the hill, from where it rose hundreds years ago, with an up and down of pedestrian routes made of very characteristic tier streets. Each one presenting, in fact, a different flooring, in the drawing and also for the building materials used. The visit takes place in a urban agglomerate made of magnificent palaces, the pride of the city, testimonials of an era that goes from ‘500 up to ‘700.

Code 2.1.05 Macerata City of ArtChief town of the province to whom it gives the name, Macerata stands over a top of a hill, as custom of this part of Central Italy, the hill, 300 m. over sea level, is located in the middle of two valleys, each one created by a river. Is located in a position that allows to reach easily and very little time, the Adriatic sea toward east, and on the opposite direction the mountains belonging to Umbro-Marchigiano part of the Appennini. In the roman era the city extended over the valley below, was destroyed; the people took refuge on the hill, where is now this beautiful Medieval city, with the merit also of having an ancient and very appreciated university.

Code 2.1.06 How to visit MacerataMacerata is characterized by a structure resembling a star, in the center he have the main Square: Liberty Square. From the square we can go toward four different directions, each one presenting a equally beautiful and interesting itineraries, and the tourist going along will feel the constant presence of a characteristic medieval atmosphere.

useful informationsLow season; professionals and not by chanceA “vacation at the beach” is included at full title within our territory promotional-commercial plans. Because of that, we made out of the low season one of our specialization, we are proposing a seasonally adjusted tourism, but most of all, customized, those are the reasons why we are professionals, not by chance. We are pleased to find out, based on a survey, that there is a growing orientation toward selecting holidays and work schedules, to benefit from better prices characterizing such period, even for very short time, like a week, or just a week end. Please be careful such facilitation doesn’t have to be a motive, this has to be considered an added value, for a condition that many consider a better solution under meteorological point of view. Better is the air, better are the aromas coming from the sea, better is the feeling of walking the beach front without a big crowd around you. All of this ,in short, to give the word tourism its complete and full meaning, not only sea.

Motors & NatureHere we are again the “not by chance” as an assumption of availability concerning those values from which professionalism comes from. From the sea to the mountains we are dealing with nature, into the incredible unmatched multiform territory of this region, to dictate the themes; in this case is the big extension of mountains and hills, connected by a thigh network latches, crossing each other in every directions. If we

think, now, that such network is furrowed by many dirt roads, some trails are just about drivable , some instead are old mule track just about visible, everything by

now out of regular routes, breathless views coming down and up to over 1500 m., comes in mind to be in the 4 wheels drive lovers paradise.

Code 2.2.04 Crivelli’s itinerariesCrivelli is an internationally famous artist, born in Veneto and lived during the renaissance. He left a deep imprint in this region, especially in the southern part, where he lived for a long period of time. Such testimonials can be found not only on the paintings signed by the master himself, but also in those many works of whoever followed directly his art school, and others that where just influenced by his beautiful artistic talent. For art lovers and connoisseurs there is a custom made itinerary to follow the rich tracks of this artist, touching several towns and ancient burgs, among those, the above mentioned Montefiore dell’Aso and Offida.

useful informationsThe services are offered aiming at “a full service agency”, the services are grouped in packages, not individually supplied: we can’t accept reservations for only one overnight accommodation, there is a minimum of 3 nights. The itineraries, for what concerns the program settlement, are valid either for individual travel, or groups. The related charges are per person and include only what is detailed in the program.

In any case, the benefits of the program are applied only to land services; transportation either by airplane or by GT bus are charged separately. We also suggest to avoid forwarding such requests immediately before the leaving date, this to allow some time to find suitable transportation, and to avoid significant price increase of air tickets, when leaving date gets closer.

Quotes related to group travel receive discounts depending on participants expected. Therefore reduced components number, if proven, involves the restatement of individual participation fee.

If you are not travelling in groups, either by bus or plane, must notify if upon arrival will use “shuttle” service to reach the planned destination.

TOURISTIC REGISTRYTo the impossibility of presenting a complete view of the opportunities offered by the territory due to the enormous amount of contents, “we answer”, as a tribute to the policy of attention at the market, by our availability to “give more”, when we present our offer. In fact we have already designed a mapping of museum, archeological sites, naturalistic areas, parks, events, wine and gastronomy, shopping and anything else that will come out, this to detect main corresponding reality, within the territory. The related mapping is segmented based on typology of contents, including the mentioned themes, and by geographic areas, this to be able to supply to the tourist asking information, only those concerning the chosen argument coinciding with time of staying and related to the zone where he will be spending the vacations. For the realization of the project, to support the direct marketing effort, of setting up and updating, coexisting Public Institutions in the detected sites, will be involved. We reserve the right to report absence of updating news, due to a failure to fulfill the institutional duty, the one of informing.

We are concluding with the presentation of some examples concerning some solutions referred to the above mentioned themes, as we said before we can’t cover all the aspects, but we are comforted by the fact that this awareness and the will to offer a service always aimed to satisfy the needs, sparked the initiative to create a registry in the touristic sphere.

Code 2.5.01 Bacco is moving he came down to heartIs it a wine industry? Is it a suggestive architectural work? A site of touristic attraction? The Domodimonti’s winery from Montefiore dell’Aso is all of these, combined. Located in the deep belly of a slope of a typical Marche hill, without defacing the natural environment from which has been swallowed. The ancient rural mansion erected on top of a hill, just a little over the cellar , has been restored , to combine hospitality and wine, and enriched also outside by all kind of modern comforts, still maintaining intact all the original characteristics. But whenever you enter you can feel to be into a luxurious and very comfortable little 5 stars super receptive structure, even if , giving a better look, the closer definition will be of a small modern art gallery. What can we say more than this? Only that the wine produced is at the same level of the beauty of the surrounding environment.

Code 2.2.01 Sentina Natural ReserveThe Sentina Natural Reserve is a protected area of just about 200 squared hectares, located just near the coast, and in the immediate north, from the Tronto river. This area is very important in terms of flora and fauna. Planning of guide visits is in synergy with the reserve personnel.

Code 2.2.02 Carriage MuseumEstablished in Macerata at the beginning of 1960 thanks to a donation, subsequently enriched by a collection of several more specimens. It hosts a great number of early ‘900 models, all of them perfectly conserved. Is possible to admire many versions, the most popular for that time, the sport one, the one for horse training, utility, for children, coupe, a first world war ambulance, refined upholstery, convertibles, a small buggy, an old sedan chair and much more to let you discover the world of the grandmother of the car.

Code 2.2.03 The Ceramic MuseumEstablished by Ascoli Piceno City Administration, located in the ancient former S. Tommaso convent, hosts fine artworks of the ancient Ascoli tradition, dating from the fourteenth century up to twentieth. The collection is enriched also by a section dedicated to ceramics made in other very famous productive sites, like Castelli, Deruta, Faenza and more.

Code 2.5.02 Olives Ascoli style Whoever doesn’t know Ascoli stuffed olives, please rise his hand! They are well know everywhere in the world. Either if you know them or not, we are inviting all the gourmets to a didactics of exercises concerning the preparation process, and the cooking procedure and why not also to enjoy them without the useless “bon appétit”.

Code 2.5.03 Weekend in the name of truffle aroma and… moreTime to be spent in the hills of Ascoli, and to be divided among the didactic concerning the discovery of the truffle by a guided visit to the truffle field, search on the field helped by dogs, cooking lessons, cooking training at a local restaurant, lunch based on truffles, visit to the nearby art city of Ascoli, or an excursion in the Sibillini National Park, or to the beach.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Travel contract: the travel contract is regulated by the following standards, and by a legislative decree n. 206 of 06/09/2005 implementing CEE 314/90 directive.Reservation: at registration will have to be paid a deposit of 25% of the total price and a fixed opening file fee of 25 EUR. The rest has to be paid within 30 days from the leaving date. Reservation acceptance is subordinated to people availability , and is intended valid only after a confirmation by the organizer.Prices: are intended per person and per day, if not applied to usage of residences or to touristic packages and they are quantified in EUR; except in the case of a simple accommodation reservation, the services are offered by the “all included” formula which includes, usually, transportation, accommodations and touristic services not ancillary to transport or accommodation. The price could be modify within 30 days before leaving date due to changing in: transportation cost, taxes on some touristic services typology, changing in currency exchange rate and other justifia-ble causes.Withdrawal and cancellation: the traveler may withdraw from the contract without paying a penalty in the following cases:- increase in the package price over 10%;- a significant modification of every other element of the package. In this case the client has to notify by a written form within 3 days upon receiving the changing notification from the organizer.In case of withdrawal for different causes, without reimbursement of the fixed registration fee, the following penal-ties will be applied over the total services:15% of the total amount up to 45 days prior leaving date, 30% from the 44th to the 30th day, 50% from the 29th to the 15th day, 80% from the 14th to the 4th day, 100% after such deadline.Cancellation: in case of cancellation by the organizer, for any reason, the proposed touristic package before leaving date, due to the impossibility to supply the services included into the package, the traveler is entitled to choose another package of equivalent value, when not available a higher package value, without paying the difference, or a lower value package and receiving the difference from the amount paid, in alternative to receive a full reimbursement of the total amount within 7 days from the request. The traveler must notify his decision within 3 working days after receiving the organizer proposal, after such term the proposal will be considered accepted. Substitutions: the customer may be substituted as long as the organizer is informed at least 15 days prior departure, receiving all the information necessary to register the incoming person, and discloses no incompatibility reasons. The renouncing customer will have to pay again the opening folder fee, and reimburse the organizer all the expenses due to the substitution. Changes while travelling: after departure, in case the organizer is facing the impossibility to supply an essential part of the services covered by the agreement, for any reason, except if they are depended by the customer himself , the organizer must supply alternative solutions ,without any overcharge.Liability: the organizer is liable for every damage to the customer, for causes arising from failure to fulfill the contract agreed performances, totally or partially, unless he can prove that the event has been generated by initiatives of the customer himself, or other facts not covered by the agreement; or by accident, majeure force, or circumstances that the organizer couldn’t have foreseen or resolved.Claim: any failure in the performance of the contract must be notified to the supplier within 7 days from the return date, by a RR letter.Privacy: all data collected will be processed and can be communicated to the providers of services, and to any other person who directly or indirectly helps to manage relationships or transactions for which the data has been released.
