- The following pictures are for patterns that I use during my calendar time. I switch them out daily to make different patterns. You can make many combinations with the number of pictures provided.

- The circles have different amounts of pictures in each one. There are 20 circles total which should be enough for each week in March. I place a new circle in the estimation jar (included at the end) each day. Students make a guess at how many are in the circle. I vary the way that they answer:

- Answer out loud- Write answer on white board- Share answer with partner- Let them answer yes/no when I call out a random answer (ex. if there are 20 in the jar

I say, “are there 100?”)
