Please note that all pastry must be homemade. Please cover all cakes and savouries with clearplastic bags only. Plain clear glass jars should be used for exhibiting jams, these should becovered with wax discs and transparent tops, no screw tops allowed. We will present the Certificates and Cups on the day to all Winners,

but all Cups will be retained by the Cromhall Horticultural Society to

enable us to have them engraved.

All Cups will be presented at our Annual General Meeting which is

usually held in October at the Cromhall Village Hall.

CLASS 63: RECIPE FOR A VICTORIA SANDWICH3 egg recipe sandwiches with raspberry jam and sprinkled with caster sugar.

CLASS 78: RECIPE FOR A FAMILY FRUIT CAKE8oz (225g) plain flour sieved with 1 teaspoon of baking powder4oz (110g) margarine 4oz (110g) caster sugar8oz (225g) mixed dried fruit 2 eggs beaten4 tablespoons milk

Grease and line a 7” (18cm) round cake tin.

Rub fat into flour until it resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add fruit, sugar, eggs and enoughmilk to give soft consistency. Turn into prepared tin and bake at 170ºC, 340º F or 150ºC fanoven for 1¼ - 1½ hours until a skewer comes out clean.

RULES

• Exhibits to be staged by 10.30am on SHOW DAY. Judging starts at 10.45am.Tents to be cleared by 10.30am.

THESE TIMES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED

• The classes will be open to all irrespective of where an exhibitor resides, with theexception of the residents cup classes 134-138.

• Entries to be handed in before midnight on 3rd September 2015 otherwise adouble entry fee will be charged. No NEW exhibitors accepted on Show Day.

• All Exhibits must be grown or worked by the exhibitor except classes 58 to 61.

• All handicrafts should have been completed within 12 months of the Show.

• All pastry must be homemade.

• All cakes and savouries shall be exhibited in clear plastic bags (not cling film).

• All jams shall be exhibited in plain clear glass jars and covered with a wax discand a transparent top.

• All chutneys and pickles shall be exhibited in plain clear glass jars withscrew top lids.

• Judges reserve the right not to award prizes if the exhibits do not meet therequired standards.

• Prize money and certificates not collected on Show Day will be taken to CromhallVillage Shop and should be collected by 30th September. After this date,unclaimed prize money will be donated to Show funds.

• A competitor may make only two entries in any class and the better of the two willbe judged against other entries.

• No exhibit to be removed without the consent of the Committee before 4.15pm.Certificates will be presented at 4pm. If you would like to donate your exhibit to theAuction, please bring to the Auction table immediately after Cup presentation.

• All winners to return cups to Cromhall Village Shop, at least 2 weeks prior to theShow. You can contact the shop on 01454 299 262.

Opening times are:Monday to Friday 8.30am to 1pm and 2.00pm - 5.00pmSaturday 8.30am to 11.30am

• In the event of a tie for any trophy the exhibitor gaining the most 1st prizes will bedeclared the winner.

• The Committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits orpersonal property. The Committee’s decisions on all points are final and binding.
