** COUPON’s for LUNCH!!

Thanks for picking this up to read…..

Our Advertisers are very special to us and it helps if you let them know you saw their

AD here in this newspaper. That helps us ensure

a long time for the Emerald Star News to become

known for all it can do for you…...no matter

‘who’- YOU are…..(except terrorists).

Welcome to our slice of heaven. There are so many wonderfully unique places to see and discover

in just Walton county alone. The beaches also offer a great diverse nature area, the fresh lakes close by.

The colors of the sand, the clearness of the waters. It’s all been saved and kept clean for visitor’s to enjoy,

relax, maybe even want to move here.

College prep students who come to get drunk and let loose. ENJOY the stay BUT CLEAN UP AFTER

yourselves…..this is not a dumping ground, especially along our beaches and waters. Do your part!!!

Hello everybody out there. I want to Thank you for showing

support for this newspaper by reading it. Just having all the

business and regular folks see you with this newspaper, see

it’s FREE, and want to know how? We live in FREE-PORT, I felt the

news travels more widely and often by offering the newspaper for FREE. We have many

small businesses that I leave several extra’s for you to read while you frequent our shops

and businesses that advertise with us…...We have hundreds being picked up weekly at a

good pace just at Gas stations alone. All 2500 are gone as I replenty…..that’s great!!!

There are a couple great deals coupon for LUNCH, I recommend them, both are deli-

cious and worth the price. Tear out the coupon and give them a try, that’s why they

posted it. Good people, good food, from a FREE newspaper. Win=Win . Welcome to

FREEPORT, if that doesn’t say it. Hopefully we will have a beautiful big sign made be-

tween Post Office and Hwy. 20. That says WELCOME to FREEPORT. Florida’s gem

before the Bay? Small town with Big City dreams? What would be the slogan you think

that would be best? To make that turn down Hwy 20 for a half hour and grab a bite to eat

or shop? How many of you know exactly where the Biophilia Center is? No signs as a

point of interest, with me printing what I can for them. How does anyone know of this

unique center? Go check it out, it’s like our own Zoo…..lol. Interesting stuff by far.

Anyway, I hear a lot of things, that people talking and try to degrade Freeport. I know

I lived here long enough to now to defend this place. I represent it every other week for

the other 1000’s of you who just sit at home, complain about this or that. But never raise

your voice or stand up at a meeting. Folks, I’ve dealt with them all, long enough to tell

you that I know they are HUMAN. They make mistakes. They have problem admitting

them, but they do. It is up to us the public, to be ‘nosey’, if it were, to how our tax money

is being spent? Is it doing us justice to hire more cops, yet don’t jump in these kids ass

about grades, respect, punishment for your crime, consequences for touching that girl

wrong, how to be respectful to others, how to deal with a racial confrontations?

I know many of you parents who would rather go to a friends, than sit and discuss real-

ity with your children. Know what they are into at all times. I know of several girls still in

school who have had a baby. The number of home schooling is risen due to the conven-

ience for the parent, or even the safety of the child. They get harassed for being poor,

same clothes, shoes, whatever. Bullies need to be faced, once beaten they stop.

I’m afraid at what I see with the youth of today and the one’s for our future. I see so

much interaction, fake love signs on FB, Hugs and kisses everyone says. Yet when I see

them interact face to face? it’s just not the same type of conversations. Parents, listen in

on your kids talking, it’s interesting for me to see what they think about and talk about,

just ’hanging out’. For your own sake, see what your kids are doing! Is ISIS luring them?

Seriously, drugs? Sex? School, after school? Late night, sneakin’ out? Then what?

So, as I enter into my own parental period of High school coming to a close. I see

more into the future of what I feel definitely needs addressed. But when we as civilians

only get to complain or vote to our political representatives. What else can you do?

REALLY? Got an idea to share? Write me, let’s discuss things. I’d like to hear from more

of you, tell me where your head is, I’d like to know. You hear mine so much. Lol. I sin-

cerely appreciate all of you who have written me and chatted over FB these last couple

years. It really has been fun to meet you ,without really shaking your hand, that’s part of

this internet connection between people. Great minds think alike.

I have met plenty of you nice folks, from hanging your ceiling fan or building you a

deck. Even met a few celebrates, needing help with an install or repair. I’m not talking in

south Walton, I’m talking here in Freeport! We have a strong select of people around us,

that shows me that Freeport is on the verge of taking steps to be more formidable, re-

spectful and those who have been crooked in past dealings will someday pay retribution

for the damages caused to this little town. A lot of past shady dealings, the more I dig, the

more I find. People send me stuff daily. I got over 300 E-mails alone just last week.

I will say I do my best to answer them all. From good to bad, this newspaper makes me

proud to hear so many older folks who look forward to each edition I print. Again, I thank

you. It makes it all feel worth it. Send in interesting stuff to share anytime.

Hey before I forget! You know I gotta’ beef, somewhere. What is this about trashing

our beaches? I mean literally trash, garbage? Do we not have enough dumpsters for them

or is it as I see. Just drunk fools, mostly at age or under, letting loose, getting high, drink-

ing it up…...that’s fine. But when you ‘Assholes’ don’t pick-up your trash, I gotta’ prob-

lem with that. I moved here to be close to the rarity, the beauty of it all.

OK, once again, I feel enforcement of littering is slacking or under-staffed to ticket or

arrest these punks, who trash our slice of heaven? Ok, Ms, Commissioner or TDC. I have

a question, we need some jobs to clean –up after these pigs. No dogs= no dogshit. Right

or not? Tell me. Use TDC funds to prevent trashing our beaches, worthy cause?

If the sheriff won’t deputize some of us to patrol, to write tix, or even call-in back-up.

Are we not going to protect what has been saved so nicely for us? Is it worth what the

visitors spend, worth someone to ensure the beach is clean when they leave? Hire about

10 veteran’s you can trust, even only $10/hr. Many would offer to do it. Well? Sheriff?

It’s never too late to ‘get involved’. As a society we will gather in time of need

for others, that is what community is all about. Enforce property lines…..

Just as we saw abuse from our government officials all over our nation, watch

where your tax dollars are going and see how it is being spent. If you don’t

agree with it, go to a meeting and speak up….let’s work together!

Changes only come when enough people call to order of descent standards for

which we all can live by. Therefore there are Laws / rules to follow or be jailed.

**If it isn’t on your property it is on someone else’s….county, then state. Keep

you and your stuff on your own property line with setbacks properly integrated.

Or else we all can grandfather anything, ‘wrong! Stop the crap. We want to be

proud of our surroundings. Let’s weed out the problem, deal with it, head on!

Wrote in by a fan…. Hi, kids call me "Big Momma". I want

to tell you about my story. I fell in love

and listened to my heart and not my

head. Now I have something that one

day will make me dead, it's Aids, yes

Aids. Now start thinking with your head

and not with your heart.

Start taking precautions before you

decide to start. Yeah wrap that thing up,

yeah wrap that thing up. Or you will be

having a cocktail, not the kind that

makes you drunk, but the one that makes

you sick, yeah real quick.

Now I have to think about just how

much time I have left before I will be

dead. I have so many things I want to do,

just don't know if I will have the time.

Why did I have to be so blind. If you

don't want to have to ask yourself these

questions, then be smart and wrap that

thing up right from the start. Some may

say it don't feel the same, its better to be

smart and ahead of the game. In the end

it comes to one thing and that's life and

death.

Choose life so your not one day sitting

alone asking yourself why. Now days

seem to go by fast when you want them

to last. So please hear my voice and

make the right choice. I am writing this

because I want to make a difference.

Telling and trying to reach as many peo-

ple as I can. Because making the wrong

choice only shortens your time with your

loved ones. Sometimes that decision will

make you dead.

That story sounds so familiar. How

many of you truly protect yourself?

Every time? Trust me I’ve lost a few

friends I once knew too. It was from just

one night. One night of partying, letting

loose, bad day…..whatever.

The moment you lay down, you may

not have your mind right and looking out

for yourself. STOP this non-sense!

Kids find something else to do with

your time. Please, don’t just waste away

trying to bring another unwanted child

into this world of ours. Yes, I said ours,

for every tax payer will be a part of that

baby’s life. To help when you can’t, get

food, when you can’t.

Stop placing the burden on your elders,

they may not be able to truly handle your

‘bundle of joy’.

Too many young girls I meet already

have at least one child. Some have dif-

ferent dad’s for different kids? Come on,

use your brain and wrap that thang!!

Girls, be smart. You know when game

is being played, don’t just act like it

won’t happen to me. Look around you,

it’s not just a ‘fad’ having a child.

So many unwanted people out there as

is. Need a friend? Talk to a homeless

person for a bit. You’ll get the picture.

Letter to the EDITOR: I am one of the Freeport Cruisers and am proud of

it. My name is Betty Ann, I am going to answer that

someone wrote to this newspaper. If they were real,

why didn’t they leave their name?

We are co-joining the Town Planters for this event

Show is $20 to enter/ $25 day of Show.

We are not an official ’Car Club’, we are just a

group of friends who get together.

Anyone is welcome to ride with us, just leave your

name and number so we can talk.

Tom is leader, no one is Almighty as you say, God.

Frank did not take us to court. You just ask us

where the money goes and we’ll show you.

Yes, we no longer let Frank come to our get-

togethers, he knows why. If you want to know just

come see me.

I give away candy from my Van. I like to see happy

faces.

Now, if you are going to write in about us, leave a

name and number so we can answer all your ques-

tions.

Betty Ann Thompson

To answer in response to this letter. I spoke with

the individual who chose to elect NOT to leave their

name. Get it right, that is their legal right, like any

other person in the USA.

Exactly, he doesn’t want to talk to you about what

he knows already. Your club is a joke to say it

represents Freeport. Just last year, didn’t the Mayor

ask you all for $10 entry? You all threatened to

pack-up? This was at Bayfest, promoting Freeport.

I was there, I heard it, I saw it.

BTW– next time I find chocolate on my vehicle

and I now know it came from you. I will file report

with law enforcement against you for damages.

Also what’s funny, is that I was with Frank when

he and that his girlfriend gets so close with ya’ll,

that when he was there at Hammock Bay, you call

him to not show up for she (his ex=no car) wants to

show up. So, who done who wrong? Obviously one

of the boys, who couldn’t stay out of their personal

business? that you say you’d rather him not be

around you? Where is the troubled bytch now?

Don’t worry, I make sure the truth is known

about your ways and your no-club selfishness. To

everyone I meet who asks about your club.

Here is my name. Don’t bother me with your petty

crap. Car people look out for each other, not ‘diss’

them when a divorce or dispute arises in one’s per-

sonal life. Unlike what you people did to Frank.

The one that was getting the most attention, gave

you the most promotion? Rid him? No friendship!

Tom W. Rayburn and friends

Hi, this Frank. The Editor.

Betty-Ann you are wrong. I never brought the

club into a court discussion. The troubled woman

(my –ex) did. I only expected to be able to pro-

mote the club with my ‘noticeable ride’. You can

tell from all your actions, you are not sincere with

anyone you don’t already know. So, how about

you tell ME why I was not let to attend a meeting?

You think you know more than me? I have court

documents proving what I know is FACT, ask?

Publix Groundbreaking

Postponed 30 days …..

April 17th @ 11am

Good Morning All,

I just spoke with Mr. Bob Peck with the Watkins

Company and there has been a legal problem for Pub-

lix and they would like to delay the Ground Breaking

until April 17th at 11:00 am. They have not had a final

closing on the property and would like to wait 30

more days to make sure that is all completed. Please

help spread the word to the citizens of Freeport.

Muslim Congressman

Caught Financing JIHAD

Rep. Keith Ellison, known for defending the Is-

lamic State group against allegations of being

Islamic, just decided to upgrade himself from

a mere jihad apologist to a full-fledged jihad lob-

byist.

He did so by travelling to the terrorist-ridden na-

tion of Somalia to help some terror-sympathizing

constituents in Minnesota funnel money right into

the hands of … wait for it … radical Islamic ter-

rorists. These transfers of money are allegedly

designed to help American Somalis support their

friends and family members back home. More

often than not, however, the money winds up in

the hands of the jihadists.

“I told my constituency I would come here and

work for the United States and Somalia relation-

ship, and I am doing that in today’s visit,” Ellison

announced at a news conference in Mogadishu.

Yet logic suggests that helping American Somalis

indirectly fund terror does nothing whatsoever to

aid that relationship. If anything, it puts the So-

mali government, which battles daily with mili-

tants from the Al-Shabaab jihadist group, in an

even more precarious position.

It also does nothing to help the Minnesota legisla-

tor’s own country in its bid to wipe out Islamic

terrorism. But that Ellison would try to spin what

he’s really doing should be no shocker, given his

past actions.

In 2008, for instance, Ellison accepted a $13,350

donation from the Muslim American Society,

which according to Steven Emerson, director of

the Investigative Project on Terrorism, “is the de

facto arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the

U.S.” (H/T Jihad Watch)

It should be as clear as day to everyone that the

Democrat congressman aligns himself much more

closely with radical Islamic ideology than he does

with good old-fashioned American values.

This raises a question: Why is this man in

Congress, when he ought to be in prison?

Greetings from the Mayor’s Office…

Spring is finally here and I know that everyone is enjoying the

bright sunshine! The Freeport City Council has been very busy

working on grants that may be available for the city for various

projects. Spending limits were set for Department Heads for

the Water, Sewer and Parks and Recreation Departments and

the council agreed for quotes to be gotten on refurbishing the

Welcome to Freeport Signs or replacing them and adding ver-

biage concerning the State Championships for the girls 1-A

basketball team. The sale of the large fire truck is final and the

money has been received and deposited and funding has been

made available for the replacements of seven lift stations in

very much need of repair. An Easter Son-Rise service with

local area churches will take place behind city hall on Easter

Sunday morning and everyone is invited to attend, watch for

further information as it becomes available. The annual Easter

Egg Hunt for the city, the annual car show and The Town

Planters Society Arts and Crafts Spring Festival will be held on

Saturday April 4, 2015, at the Freeport Regional Sports Park,

additional information will be announced soon. A workshop for

the city’s Strategic Planning has taken place and the results are

being prioritized for the betterment of the citizens of Freeport

and a workshop was also held with Rural Development in re-

gard to how they can help us with funding for various projects

that have been mentioned in the Strategic Planning Workshop.

Planning has begun for the second annual city festival

“Bayfest”, which will be held on September 19, 2015 and as

we progress we will keep you informed. I am sure that by now

all of you know that the date has changed on the Publix Super-

market ground breaking, it is now on April 15,2015, at 11:00

am, we are looking forward to this being the beginning of the

conveniences for the citizens of our fair city and as the four

lanes are complete more things will happen. A reminder that

the Heritage Museum is open Thursday-Saturday, 12:00 pm to

5:00 pm, and volunteers are still needed to operate the mu-

seum, please give us a call at city hall if you have a little time

to spare and help us share a part of the cities past . Also, the

city council meetings are held on the second Tuesday and

fourth Thursday of each month beginning at 7:00 pm, everyone

is invited to attend as well as voice your concerns or opinions.

As always any ideas, complaints or concerns please give me a

call at 850-835-2822.

2 Surprising Senators Just Defied Obama

AND the United Nations With Bold Move We’re happy to report breaking, extremely rare news happening in Washington

D.C. — two Republican senators who aren’t exactly known for bucking the Obama

administration are actually doing their jobs and laying down heavy threats should the

president bypass Congress on a nuclear deal with Iran and the formation of a Palestin-

ian state in Israel.

Arizona Sen. John McCain and South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham both recently

relayed their disgust with the Obama administration considering going through the

United Nations to get a nuclear deal on the table with Iran and push a resolution for

the creation of a Palestinian state while bypassing their own Congress. Both senators,

in a nutshell, called for defunding the U.N. should the Obama administration actually

proceed with their plan and kicking our greatest ally, Israel, to the curb in the process.

“Here’s what the president needs to understand. If you go to the UN Security Coun-

cil and you try to bypass the Congress to get this deal approved by the UN Security

Council, but not come to your own Congress, then you’re going to risk Congress cut-

ting off money to the United Nations,” Graham said.

That’s very strong language coming from a man who isn’t known for it, hence his

lack of popularity among conservatives.

“The US Congress should reconsider funding for the United Nations if the Security

Council approves a resolution on Palestinian statehood,” McCain said

Though he certainly didn’t have to extend an olive branch to the Obama administra-

tion, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did exactly that after he was elected

for his fourth term as PM, yet the administration threatened to “reassess” their rela-

tionship with Israel.

Leave it to Obama to demolish a long-standing friendship with our greatest and

only real ally in the Middle East.

It’ll be interesting to see if Obama takes the threats seriously, given who they came

from. When establishment Republicans turn on the president, that’s a pretty clear sign

that things are getting bad.

Funny. Look

the ‘Editor is

Capricorn…..

Dear Editor,

I agree with your complaints I have noticed

along waterside Ln. for many years now. We

have discussed options for so long, it is a shame

that you cannot get a tree taken down and your

road widened to specs.

Since the county has drug it’s feet. The man

across from you expanded and added onto and

built this past summer a garage. Well, within the

setbacks the county made years ago. 7.5’ !!!

I’ve seen you write about this problem, even I

ask why the building is in the right of way so

your road will never be graded correctly all from

the violations this man took upon himself. I came

by the 2nd of the 4 days when they were pouring

the driveway and noticed it being so close to the

property line. Maybe 2’…..if that? why has noth-

ing been done thus far? Take action now!

I even work for the county and cannot under-

stand why something so obvious is not addressed

and made to remove. It is that way for every-

where else I go to. We use prisoners for roads.

If you don’t see results in a week I would rec-

ommend going to WCBCC…..call TV13. If they

won’t help correct the situation now, you embar-

rass the people who refused to do what was go-

ing to be done to your road 11 yrs ago. I know, I

worked for them and spoke with you back in

2006…..if they don’t want to do the job they are

in place to do something so simple. Get them

fired, replaced with people who will take action.

Filling out complaints do nothing when all they

want to do is close the case quickly to try and not

look bad. I’ve spoke to the man in question a

while ago. His actions has shown me and every

other county worker that he has been lying to us

all the time we investigated them.

Mark (Ya’ll known me long time)

A period of great inner transformation and powerful upheaval in your outer life is coming upon you now,

Aquarius. A part of you wants to welcome it and charge ahead, while another part holds back, possibly

out of fear or lack of self-confidence. While resistance can delay the change, it can't stop it. It might be

best to continue forward in spite of misgivings. Hang in there!

There's no point in being overly ambitious during a week that's made for being a little laid-back. Use this

opportunity to pamper yourself, whether that means a haircut, manicure, or more exotic spa treatment. A

very indulgent transit on Friday suggests you could call a pal to accompany you.

There's an unusual magnetism about you this week that might attract some excitement - and interesting

people. A social plan comes to life, though you might need to work hard to get it off the ground. If you're

hoping for a touch of romance, consider Friday as a potential date night. A warm, companionable transit

makes this the ideal time to enjoy each other's company.

Enjoy spending time at home and forget about making too many plans for now. With Venus in your sign,

this is an opportunity to take stock of your current situation and how confident you feel in your own skin.

You might opt for a makeover, new hairdo, or elegant clothes to boost your confidence. You'll have the

most fun when you entertain at your place

This can be an upbeat week that you'll really enjoy. You may be able to attract both love and money if

you're in the right place at the right time. Where your career is concerned, new projects or offers could

turn up that are quite exciting. Don't be too quick off the mark, though. Give yourself time to mull it over.

Pleasant influences make this a week of special messages and friendly feelings. With your social life pick-

ing up steam, this is one of the best times to network and meet new people. You have more energy than

usual to put into plans and goals. As Mars continues to move through Aries, it's time to be proactive about

reaching for the success you deserve.

Go ahead and melt the ice. By the end of the week there's a chance of a date. By midweek you may be

busy getting inspiration for a creative plan or project. If your motivation seems to have disappeared, look

for a fresh perspective and chat with others who may have ideas you can use. You'll be back in the flow

again before you know it.

Consider domestic changes, as it may be time to redecorate or purchase something for your home. If you

have artistic talents, use them to add special touches to key areas of your house. It's also possible that

you'll want to make structural changes, in which case think about researching your options. Pay attention

to your intuition on Friday. A pleasant surprise may come your way if you listen.

The social tempo provides a happy beat with a promise of fun times and romantic opportunities. The pres-

ence of Venus in Taurus suggests that you'll be in your element if you involve yourself in cultural activi-

ties that have all the sensuousness of a gourmet meal or silk sheets. Indulge your love of color, shape, and

style, as it will give you that feel-good factor. If communication seems a little off this week

Avoid jumping to conclusions or letting your imagination run away with you early on. Things may not be

what they seem. It's better to get the facts than worry about something that isn't happening. Warm and

harmonizing aspects make for good communication with a focus on romance. This is the perfect week to

ease into a scintillating liaison and enjoy getting close to that special someone

It seems your social life is full of surprises, particularly as the call to adventure may be hard to resist. If

you feel impelled to join a sports club or get into competitive games, you'll enjoy every moment. It's a

good way to burn off excess energy, too. A softer mood takes over with the weekend bringing a chance to

explore the potential for a romantic liaison

You'll enjoy getting out and meeting people and this is a good time to do so, particularly since you're

quite a charmer. Avoid sending mixed signals early on that could lead to embarrassment later. Midweek

brings an opportunity to get to the core of an issue that may have bugged you for some time. It's helpful to

know that the root cause could be a limiting pattern that once released will give you the confidence and

freedom you desire.

“No matter how your heart is griev-

ing, if you keep on believing,

the dream that you wish will come

true.”

-Cinderella

I usually try to keep the topic light and

the mood positive in these columns but

this has been a tough week for my fam-

ily. My niece, who is only 19 years old, was diagnosed with can-

cer yesterday. Needless to say, my family is devastated and try-

ing to understand where to go from here and how to go about

doing what needs to be done. One of the main problems, of

course, is money. While my brother does have insurance, the

cost of brain surgery and future treatments is barely covered.

Being in Florida, I was feeling helpless. I decided, with my

niece’s permission, to begin a GoFund Me campaign to help with

medical costs. I posted the account and within an hour had dona-

tions from people I went to high school with and distant rela-

tives…people who have never met my niece but found it in their

hearts to give. I cannot tell you what an eye-opening, mind bog-

gling experience this has been. It made me realize how truly

good people really are and how unselfish people can be when

times are tough. If you turn on the news or look at social media,

you may begin to forget how good people are…you may have

forgotten that our country is giving and kind. I know I did. I took

my son to see Cinderella, against his will, and her advice was,

“You must always have courage and be kind.” As simple as that

sounds, imagine if more people followed that phrase. I know my

niece, Mackenna, has shown me what true courage is throughout

these past few days. Her strength and courage make Arnold

Schwarzenegger look small. Try being kind today and find cour-

age to do the things you thought you couldn’t face. If you need

help, ask…people may surprise you.

Healthmark Health Matters Growing healthy children Nutrition and fitness are the cornerstones of children's health. To give your child a head

start on lifelong fitness, encourage children's sports and other kid-friendly physical activi-

ties. To spark your child's interest, suggest physical activities — not exercise — and join

in as often as you can.

According to doctors and researchers at the Mayo Clinic, parents can also promote chil-

dren's health by encouraging children to eat a variety of healthy foods and control portion

sizes. We should learn what kinds of food they need and in what amounts.

Of course, every child grows and develops at his or her own pace. Still, child develop-

ment tends to follow a fairly predictable path. There are language, social, cognitive and

physical milestones to expect from ages 2 to 5.

At age 2, your child might speak about 50 words and be able to link two words together,

such as "my cup" or "no juice," clearly enough for parents to understand some of the

words. They begin to show more independence, copy others and get excited when around

other children, but they can also become more defiant. They may be playing simple make-

believe games and begin to sort objects by shape and color. Two-year olds also climb on

furniture and learn to run.

At age 3, a child may be speaking 250 to 500 or more words, speaking in longer sen-

tences and correctly use pronouns (I, you, me, mine). They should be able to state their

first name and speak clearly enough for strangers to understand. They express affection

openly, but get upset with major changes in routine.

At age 4, a child should be able to answer simple questions, talk about likes and dislikes,

cooperate with other children, understand the idea of counting and start to understand

time.

By age 5, most children understand rhyming and are using sentences that give many

details. They usually want to be just like their friends. They understand gender and often

like to sing, act or dance. They can usually count to 10 or more. They hop, skip, swing and

do somersaults, dress and use the toilet on their own. They can also learn to swim.

If your child's development seems to be lagging behind in certain areas, contact Larry

Rafey, P.A., or visit Healthmark's Walk-In Clinic at 4413 US 331S, across from the Medi-

cal Center, or call 951-4500.

HEY…..Editor, Did you see where that kid climbed up

on a custom blue truck at last yr, car

Show? $100,000 vehicle? Then the par-

ent got mad at the man standing there

saying to kid, to get down, step

away….she then, started cursing these

men who have a lot of money into these

cars? Where do you draw the line?

How smart is it to have a Rat-Rod or

Van giving away candy, with signs

press here, do this, touch that?

Then, when the kids do it to every

car?….. it’s a major ‘damage suit’ wait-

ing to happen. Maybe? Yes.

Place those ‘I don’t care’ cars in a spe-

cial section, maybe rope off section for

true collector cars. Scratches and finger-

prints of candy? which I had there, are

damaging to the automobile’s finish. I

know myself and about 20 other own-

ers, who will not attend a Freeport show

again, for they witnessed what took

place before. In addition to the people

running the show is not a club and

should not represent Freeport as one,

they are predjudice on ‘openness’ to all.

There is no room for an identity to

represent, our use the FREEPORT

name, without being a legit club? Agree

Show these car collector’s respect!

Either teach your kids, NOT TO

TOUCH or provide security for the cars.

A simple disclaimer will not excuse the

show sponsors from law-suit if any

damage occurs. Or stand 100% next to

Hey Parents, hope you got good insur-

ance, for a candy, chocolate Egg Hunt?

Keep your kids hands off the vehicles!

Troy L. Gardner

- Can you imagine a chocolate candy could

cost you in excess of $25.000? Some of the

paint jobs alone cannot be just‘touched up’

If people would stop and think about the

long term from their actions. Those actions

would not have taken place. Similar to the

actions by this group that gathers and say it’s

a Show. Clubs earn respect by actions!

In most cases, when it comes from a sepa-

ration or a divorce. It is better for most all of

the parties to stay out of one’s business.

Look how long it’s been since the incident

of disrespect has gone by and how these

small town minded people won’t let it die.

So, neither will I. (I trust the news man).

Wanna know the truth? Ask the person

mainly involved. Just like Congress, the club

will hide and distract you from the obvious.

They do not represent Freeport well at all.
