From the Pastor
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is
decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal
weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the
things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the
things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not
seen are eternal.
-II Corinthians 4:16-18
The only way to live the Christian life to the end as it began is by faith. At the end of
2 Corinthians 4, Paul admonishes us to remember that our eternal home is in heaven
and our security is in Christ. The Holy Spirit lives within us as the divine guarantee.
As we look to a greater day with God in eternity, we can endure the temporary
hardships of life on earth and not lose heart.
God does not take us to heaven the moment we receive Jesus because He has work
for us to do here on earth. The greatest work He has for us is to point others to Jesus.
Live by faith and allow the Lord to use you!
Friend Day is Sunday, March 29. I hope you will find a car load of people to bring
with you that day! We were excited to see Katrina Davila and Casey Martin follow the
Lord in baptism this past Sunday. It was also a great joy to welcome Greggory and
Brandon McIntyre to our church, as well. Keep the Main Thing the main thing and we
will see you this weekend.
Blessings,
Bro. Tommy
