Maple Syrup Poutine Try this recipe for a new and delicious way to enjoy your favorite Cheese Curds! October 15th is National Cheese Curd Day Maple Syrup Sweet Potato Poutine An autumn-inspired version of the popular Canadian appetizer. Crispy sweet potato fries are smothered in a warm Knorr Poutine Gravy that’s laced with pure maple syrup, topped with your favorite cheese curds, crispy crumbles of hickory smoked bacon and freshly chopped green onions. Sound delicious? Well you got that right...it definitely is! Step 1. Prepare gravy and add the pure maple syrup to the gravy and mix until well incorporated and it has a good thick gravy consistancy. Keep very warm, continuing to stir so it doesn’t stick to the pan. Step 3. Place prepared sweet potato fries on plate. Ladle about 1/2 cup of maple poutine gravy over the sweet potato fries Spread the cheese curds over the top of the sweet potatoes/gravy layer Sprikle the bacon pieces over the top of the sweet potatoes/gravy/cheese curds layer Ladel the remainder of the maple poutine gravy over the over the top of everything Sprinkle the scallions over the top Serve immediately Knorr Poutine Gravy, prepared, hot (or your favorite brown gravy mix prepared) 1 cup pure maple syrup 10 oz. prepared sweet potato fries (app. 2 medium sized sweet pototo) 4 oz. cheese curds 1 cup maple poutine gravy mixture 4 slices of hickory smoked bacon, cooked and choped Scallions, thinly sliced for garnish Ingredients Instructions Step 2. Peel sweet potatoes and cut into french fries. Heat oil and deep fry sweet potatoes until nice and crispy.
