We, the Mid-Century Senior class of Maplewood Academy have chosen to dedicate this first annual published by a senior class to the future senior classes which are to follow us. We have worked many and long hours to prepare these few pages. The Academy Board proposed not to have a yearbook campaign this year and it was decided not to take anything from the student activity fee, which would practically kill the idea of publishing a n annual, but the undaunted senior class was intent on producing a memory book for them- selves. A staff was elected and a budget was set up, with the only income the proceeds of the Annual School Talent Program.

We acknowledge our indebtedness to Photo-Craft Studio in Minneapolis for the consideratiorl shown us. We also wish to thank Louis Thayer, owner of the Richfield Printing Company, for going out of his way to make this publication a success.

We have made mistakes but gained many exper- iences and have learned new angles from which we hope you can profit when you publish your Mcrple Logs in years to come.

We sincerely hope that you will be able to put out a much bigger and better annual, and we wish you much success.
