Geneva (UNI) WHO Health Emergen- cies Programme Execu- tive Director Dr Michael Ryan on Monday said that India is playing a leading role in the devel- opment of potential vac- cine candidate and also producing potential an- ti-COVID drugs. “So overall India is making a strong contribution on the international face”, the WHO official said during a media briefing on COVID-19. The spurt in cases, according to Dr Ryan, owed to the massive coun- try size and population. “India has very high number of cases. But I think we should obviously see the number of cases in India today against the backdrop of the country’s size and massive population of 1.3 billion people”, he said. Dr Ryan praised India for the high-number of testing that the country was conducting from the past few days. “India’s done well on sampling, done 20 million tests already. It does on an average a half a million tests per day. There has been a move in last number of days to really expand testing and to allow greater freedom for medical practi- tioners to request testing. spread of virus. United Kingdomhad said that we will not do thelockdown. They focused on herdimmunity, but later they had tochange this strategy to lockdown. We can’t wait for the peak. Con-stant measures are being taken tostop virus from spreading.

Harish Dubey / Lalitmohan Goyal,Pohri

It has been a myth since thebeginning about the Pohri assem-bly constituency that the peoplehere change their MLA in everyelection, this myth was broken byBJP’s Prahlad Bharti by winning ittwice in 2008 and 2013 but in 2018election the public pushed PrahladBharti to the third place and gavethe same message that the peoplehere believe in change and do nottake time to deny those who do notlive up to the expectations.

Although big leaders are not vis-iting Pohri due to Corona crisisand lockdown, but electoral activi-ties are clearly visible in Pohri’smarkets, street corners. Last timeSuresh Rathkheda won on theCongress ticket. He has receivedthe reward of toppling the KamalNath government and made aminister of state in the Shivraj gov-ernment. Rathkheda is a strongsupporter of Jyotiraditya Scindia,

so Scindia’s personal and politicalreputation is at stake here.

Scindia has called his own sup-porters to Pohri and asked them togather for Rathkheda. The samequestion is being asked in politicalgalleries that Scindia will be able toget him to cross the electoral stale-mate on his own despite the strongmobilization against MinisterRathkheda in the BJP camp itself.Congress and BJP leaders are alsoindulging in defamation againstRathkheda. Several implicationsare being made of Congress statepresident Ram Nivas Rawat com-ing to Pohri to meet former BJPMLA Narendra Birathare. It is amatter of discussion that RamNivas Rawat, who has contestedthe election from neighboringVijaypur seat, is himself eyeingPohri seat. The name of Ramnivaswas also mentioned in the firstpanel.

On the one hand, Rathkheda’scandidature in the BJP is unques-

tionable. But there are half a dozenprominent contenders in the Con-gress, so it has become a difficultdecision for Congress. DistrictPresident Param Singh Rawat, con-sidering himself a candidate, hasstarted public relations in the vil-lage and countryside. The name ofKailash Kushwaha, who last con-tested on BSP ticket, is also in theeyes of Kamal Nath. Many Con-gressmen have also met KamalNath in Bhopal to protest againstthe claim of Harivallabh Shukla, atwo-time MLA from SamantaParty. In view of the 28 thousandvoters of the Yadav communityhere, the name of Kisan CongressDistrict President Ram Singh Yadavhas also emerged.

Rathkheda made a blueprint for development

Suresh Rathkheda has beenaccused of being inactive for a yearand a half, but as the challenge of

the by-election draws closer, hisactivism has increased. He has metShivraj Singh for the Bhumi pujanof Sarkula Dam to be built at a costof 220 crores. This dam was stuckdue to lack of funds allocated dur-ing the time of Kamal Nath govern-ment. He has also designed therenovation of ponds at Dhauriyaand Piparghar. He also wants tohave a power station in Chhach. On the other hand, the Congressleaders are calling this blueprint apolitical gimmick.

70 years later, on the last Mondayof Sawan, the Raksha Bandhan sawimmense love of the sisterstowards their brothers. Despite thelockdown in the Corona epidemic, many sisters managed to reachtheir homes and the brothers alsowent to get Rakhi tied on theirwrists at their sisters’ homes. Thesisters tied a raksha sutra on thebrothers’ wrist and prayed for longlife and prosperity. They alsoprayed to God to save the wholefamily from the corona epidemicand showered blessings for thewell-being of younger brothers.

Due to the lockdown, the trainsand buses are not running so manysisters could not reach the homesof their brothers living in the cityas well as in other cities. In such asituation, social media became thesupport of expressing love towardseach other. Through video calling,

the sisters mingled with the broth-ers and cheered.

Rakhi and sweets shopsremained closed but sisters man-aged to purchase items like gajak, chikki, son papadi etc. to sweetenthe mouths of siblings. But the saleof rekhis was much low comparedto other years.

Every year the sisters used tohave long queues in the jailpremises to tie rakhi, but this timedue to Corona epidemic, permis-sion was not granted. The sisterswere given a chance to meet theirbrothers online for a limited peri-od.

Rakhis tied to wrist ofbrothers suffering from virus

Celebrating festivals duringCorona crisis is a challenge. Deptof Education of the Bhopal Schoolof Social Sciences, transformed

this challenge into an opportunityand organised an online workshopon ‘Weaving Rakhi Bonds’. MrDharmendra Mewade, an interna-tional artist, demonstrated mak-ing of beautiful Rakhis using avail-able homemade articles. The par-ticipants followed the stepsintriguely and made equally artis-tic Rakhis on 1st August 2020. Thisworkshop was coordinated by MsGousiya Parween, art and craftteacher at the department.

In her vote of thanks Dr SheenaThomas, Head, Department ofEducation, shared her happinessfor the event organised to cele-brate the beautiful bond of broth-er and sister in unprecedentedtimes of Corona. The departmentof Education conducted manywebinars on current topics tooptimise learning during lock-down.

Ms Gousiya Parween took theRakhis woven out of love to Chi-

rayu COVID care hospital whichwas then tied to the wrist ofbrothers suffering from the virus.

Dr Fr John PJ, Principal BSSS,said that this event is in tune to thecollege vision ‘Towards a betterworld’. BSSS always endeavours tocontribute towards any humani-tarian cause and this is one suchmove to celebrate the festivalamidst the devastating Pandemicsituation.

Cong was marginalizedafter Rajmata left party

The Congress and BJP-JanaSangh have won here only seventimes in the elections held, sothis seat cannot be called thestronghold of any one party. In1993, Vaijyanti Verma also wonas an independent, althoughthis situation was created due totechnical flaws due to her notgetting the B-form of Congress.Since 1967, after RajmataScindia left the Congress, theJana Sangh has been in holdingthis seat for 13 consecutiveyears. The situation changedafter Madhavrao joined the Con-gress. In this seat of 2.18 lakhvoters, 18.8% votes of ScheduledCastes and 18.1% of Tribal Class-es play a decisive role.

The foundation stonelaying ceremony for theconstruction of thegrand Ram temple inAyodhya is taking placeon 5 August. TheSupreme Court gave ahistoric verdict onNovember 8 last year forthe construction of aRam temple in Ayodhya.Actually, the construc-tion of the temple inAyodhya was awaited forthe last 500 years. Manydecades long battle wasfought for the construc-tion of Ram temple. Afterthe partition of India in1947, Ram temple landdispute was the biggestdispute in which hun-dreds of lives have beenlost. Now that the templeis under construction,we will have to end thebitterness of the past. Itis a pleasant fact thatHaji Iqbal Ansari, aMuslim party in the judi-cial dispute, andPadmashree MohammadSharif, who cremated theunclaimed dead bodies, were first invited. It isevident how deeplyGanga-Jamuni culture isrooted in our country.

By first inviting HajiIqbal Ansari andMohammad Sharif, theRam Janmabhoomi TirthSamiti has set a goodexample of mutual good-will. In view of the cur-rent environment, it wasdesperately needed. Thishas sent a very positivemessage. However, thereis a need to avoid themanner in which frenzyis being spread on socialmedia and electronicchannels regarding thelaunch of temple con-struction. It is absolutelyunnecessary to do so.The construction of Ramtemple is a religious andspiritual issue and not acommunal issue. It isLord Ram who createdour eternal culture.

Rama is called MaryadaPurushottam because ofstrict adherence to thehighest ideal of humani-ty. Therefore, the dignityof Rama’s ideals remainsintact; it is the responsi-bility of all of us. TheSupreme Court has alsoexpressed the same sen-timent in its judgmentthat the construction ofthe Ram temple willprove to be a pledge toinspire the next genera-tion. Faith towards Ramis not just a matter ofHindus, all the residentsof India consider Ram asan inspiration. This isthe reason that after theSupreme Court’s deci-sion of November 8,there has not been a sin-gle communal tensionincident in the entirecountry. The way thedecision on the Ramtemple was welcomed bythe Christians andMuslims of the country,it is the responsibility ofHindus to appreciatethis feeling.

The construction ofRam temple should be asymbol of harmony; itshould be an example ofmutual brotherhood thatcan inspire whole world. The manner in which theIndian judiciary and theexecutive have resolvedthe Ram temple disputeis a unique example ofitself in the entire world. The hysteria that is beingspread on social mediaand electronic channelsis worrying. This shouldbe avoided. However, according to the RamJanmabhoomi TeerthKshetra Trust, the Ramtemple will be 161 feethigh and will now havefive domes instead ofthree. The model of Ramtemple will remain thesame as that of VishwaHindu Parishad, but willincrease its length, widthand height.

Achieving cultural harmony

By Dr Duggaraju Srinivasa Rao India, in recent months, has suf-

fered major intelligence failuresthough the government of NarendraModi won’t concede. The failure of theopposition to pose intelligent ques-tions on this intelligence failure hashelped Modi and his team to get awaywith those failures. Barring personalattacks on the competence of Modi, questions which make the Union gov-ernment to stand and answer are notproperly posed by main oppositionparty, Congress. Rahul Gandhi has animage problem and his gaffes are somany that questions posed by himlose relevance in no time. But thatdoesn’t mean that nation is not enti-tled to know what is happening in theintelligence agencies and why theyare failing on a regular basis.

The Chinese withdrawal from theGalwan valley is attributed to theinformation gathered by Indian intel-ligence agencies and NationalSecurity Advisor Ajit Doval’s personaleffort in countering Pakistan Chinanexus. But what actually happenedduring that time was China roped Iraninto its influence, using its hugemoney power, to the disadvantage ofIndia. This is only latest of 2020 storyof India’s external and internal intelli-gence failures series. Almost eachmonth there is one failure in intelli-gence gathering. The shock of July isfrom Iran where that country unilat-erally shunted away India from theon-going construction of railway linefrom Chabahar port to Zahedan.

This is a strategic infrastructureproject along the Iran-Afghanistanborder which was signed in 2016 as apart of broader trilateral agreement. This project where India has alreadyinvested $500 million was meant toconnect Iran to central Asia bypassingPakistan. Phase I of this project wasinaugurated in December 2017 andentire project is scheduled for com-

pletion by March 2022.But Irandropped India without any hint, onthe silly excuse of ‘delayed funding’,and hooked to China as that countrypromised $400 million IranianNational Development Fund and alsoa 25 year military support for protect-ing Iran.

China somehow convinced Iranthat India is closer to USA and Israeland their interests will be betterserved by ignoring India and joining

hands with them and Pakistan. As perthe new agreement is going to supplyIranian crude at a much discountedprice, China will build road and railinfrastructure connecting Chahabar(Iran) and Gwadar(Pakistan) ports. Thus the idea of isolation of Pakistanby India was blown of but the newChina-Pakistan-Iran nexus is firmedup posing a danger to the geopoliticalinterests of India.

Such a crucial agreement withChina could not have happenedovernight and lot of things might havehappened behind the screen beforethe ‘drop shock’ to India and that is

where the failure of intelligence agen-cies is glaring. The same intelligenceagencies let down India by their fail-ure to report what is happening inChina on the early period of Corona.

There seems to be no hint fromIndian intelligence agencies on thenew virus hitting Wuhan and Chinataking some secretive measures tocontain that. That initial failure togauge China properly coupled withcollection of information on Corona

guidelines defying gathering ofTabligh Jamaat in Malaysia madeIndia to suffer heavily in terms healthand economy.

The internal intelligence agencies’lethargy is fully exposed in their fail-ure to contain the Delhi Tablighi meetwhere Muslims from the Coronainfested countries freely interactedand spread the Corona across India.

The foreign Tablighis could freelyroam across India and stay in remoteSouth Indian mosques unquestionedby local authorities itself is the testi-mony of the total failure of centralagencies to alert the states on foreign-

ers movements. India is paying aheavy price of over 100 day lockdownbecause of that intelligence failure. Interms of money the cost that intelli-gence failure may run into over onelakh crore rupees. More glaring is thefailure of agencies to alert on theexpanding Chinese foot print in theHimalayan area. Not only the agen-cies failed to report on the Chinestroop movement into Galwan valleywhich made India to lose 20 brave sol-diers but the agencies could not evensmell what is happening in such asmall hilly nation, Nepal.

That country could challenge Indiaon the border front by making claimson the Indian soil and venture tomake the fight official with the Nepaliparliament passing a resolution onthat country’s claim and even unilat-erally altering the maps.

India may finally sort out thatproblem with Nepal when CM Oli isunseated and that country movesaway from Chinese influence but theimage of India and its authority inSouth Asia is certainly dented. Theanti CAA protest at Shahin Bagh andthe pitched battle of those protesterson the eve of US President DonaldTrump is another saga of intelligencefailure.

A protest which should have nib-bled in the bud, through early intelli-gence report, was allowed to continuefor months. Those were the dayswhen the union government’s author-ity was challenged in its own capitalcity. Whether it is the total failure ofthe intelligence agencies or the failureof the Modi government to utilise theinputs from the agencies and act ontime is what is not known. Whoever, the official or political, is responsiblefor the failure must open his mouthanswer the questions on the loss offace for the country.

Nearly half ofAmericans thinkthat antibiotics areeffective in treatingviruses like coldsand flus, accordingto the PewResearch Center. This, despite thefact that the FDAclearly states on itswebsite, “WARN-ING: Antibioticsdon’t work forviruses like coldsand the flu,” noth-ing that they “don’tfight viruses, theyfight bacteria.”

Not knowing scientific facts like these isn’t just potentially embarrassing – itcan be costly. For example, “using antibiotics for viruses can put you at risk ofgetting a bacterial infection that is resistant to antibiotic treatment,” the FDAnotes — leading to high healthcare costs. And not understanding cooking tem-peratures at higher altitudes can lead to unsafe food preparation and illness, which also can result in health care costs.

Neighbour said to me: Knownfor large-scale packaging andtrade of rakhi, wholesale marketsin India are struggling to makeends meet due to the impact ofthe coronavirus pandemic. Onan average, rakhi trade in Indiagenerates a revenue of crores, which is down this year, tradersclaim. People, including someself-help groups, are directly orindirectly involved in the pack-aging, boxing and pasting ofrakhis. Due to a sudden spike incoronavirus cases in the last fewweeks, a temporary closure ofmarkets in some areas has beenimposed.

I said: Manufacturing ofrakhis generally begins in March.Production was already affecteddue to the lockdown. However, closure of markets has furtherstrained matters. Traders askedthe administration to open mar-kets at least for the rakhi seasonbut they say they are boundbecause of the rising cases.

Neighbour said to me: Covid-19 is new and scientists under-

stand little about how it behavesand spreads. The cost of creatinga vaccine to protect peopleagainst the new coronavirus willrun into billions of dollars andcould take many months. Hereare some of the reasons why.

I said: Technology is enablingnew methods of exploring vac-cine candidates for trial, butthere are already a few tried andtested ways to make them. In allof them, scientists try to stimu-late the body’s immune systemto combat invasive pathogens. That’s commonly done by creat-ing something so similar to thepathogen that the body begins tocreate antibodies to fight off thereal thing. The most commonway of doing this is to makewhat’s called attenuated vac-cines – those that are made ofweaker strains of the actualpathogen. Reared on animalcells outside of human bodies, they are then extracted andinjected in a single tiny dose. Some flu vaccines are culturedon chicken eggs.

TikTok must either be soldor blocked in the US due tonational security concerns,Treasury Secretary StevenMnuchin said Sunday in thelatest ominous US warning tothe Chinese-owned app.

TikTok, he said, simply“cannot exist as it does.”

Mnuchin did not commentdirectly on President DonaldTrump’s threat Friday to barthe wildly popular video-shar-ing app.

The secretary recalled that the Committee on Foreign Investment in theUnited States—which he chairs—is reviewing TikTok, which is especially pop-ular with young audiences who create and watch its short-form videos andhas an estimated one billion users worldwide.

But in one of many fronts in US-Chinese relations that have turned practi-cally poisonous these days, US officials have said it could be a tool for Chineseintelligence. TikTok denies any such suggestion. “I will say publicly that theentire committee agrees that TikTok cannot stay in the current format becauseit risks sending back information on 100 million Americans,” Mnuchin saidSunday on ABC. Mnuchin said he has spoken to leaders of Congress includingHouse Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the top Democrat in the Senate, ChuckSchumer about what to do with TikTok’s operations in the US.

Take part in the Kumbh Mela TikTok must be sold or blocked in US, says Mnuchin

By TK NandananIt is true that there are certain

boundary disputeissues with Chinaandthese issues are not yet settledthough peaceful situation is prevail-ing along the LAC in the easternLadakh. In retaliation, China has alsobeen given a befitting reply in the bor-der issues and now these issues arealmost not hot anymore as Chinesearmies have already withdrawn fromthe encroached areas. But as a furtherfollow up action to banning 59Chinese apps, the Directorate Generalof Foreign Trade (DGFT), an arm ofthe commerce and industry ministryissued a notification on late Thursdayevening amending the import policyof colour television from free torestricted category. As per this notifi-cation, India has now restrictedimports of Chinese colour televisionsto encourage domestic manufactur-ing. The move is aimed at boosting

local production and is in line withPrime Minister Narendra Modi’srecent “Vocal for Local” call.

While welcoming Modi’s motto‘Vocal for Local’, it may be remem-bered that Chinese electronic equip-ment is of world standard quality oreven beyond that, and restricting theirimport will surely miss the people ofIndia high quality equipment withlower price tags on them.

Therefore, what the governmentmust do is avoid restricting the colourtelevision import from China, so thatit must continue importing electronicitems and start manufacturing thesame quality items in India and onceIndia is able to manufacture highquality electronic items that can evenoutperform the Chinese ones, the gov-ernment can consider restricting theimport of further items from China. This is the wisest move India canresort tobecome the best electronic

hub in the world. Youth with good cre-ative talents must be encouraged toconceive innovative ideas in electron-ic field, which should complementour dally life, and private companieswhich can promote researches in thisfield must also be promoted.

It is equally important to note thatModi government’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme has gota well response from multinationalcompanies including Pegatron(Apple’ssecond-largest contract man-ufacturer), Samsung and other 20companies. The PLI scheme aims atturning India as a smartphone exporthub that could ultimately take onChina and other east Asia’s electronichubs.

The PLI scheme launched onSaturday is expected to promoteexports significantly around 60 percent of the production. Ravi ShankarPrasad, Minister for Electronics and

Information Technology said, “ThePLI scheme to herald a new era inmobile phone and electronic compo-nents manufacturing. Production ofRs.11.50 lakh crore and out of the totalproduction, we are aiming 60 per centof it for exports in next five years. Thisis a major boost to Prime MinisterNarendra Modi’s Make in India andAtmanirbhar Bharat.”

It may be good to bear in our mindthat Chinese smartphone industriesare a flourishing industry and theirsmartphones are marvellous pieces ofengineering excellence and thesesmartphones are sold like hot cakesthroughout the world. It may be notedthat world-class main electronicindustries are all situated in the south-east Asia (Japan was once the world-famous hub for all kinds of electronicitems) and India is not far away fromthis region and surely, there will be anera of electronics boom in India too.

India restricting the import of Chinese electronic goods is not wise

Washington (UNI)Officials from the White House

said that the US presidential elec-tion will be held on November 3 asplanned after President DonaldTrump earlier raised the possibili-ty of delaying it.

“We’re going to hold an elec-tion on Nov 3 and the president isgoing to win,” White House Chiefof Staff Mark Meadows on Sundaytold CBS’s Face the Nation.

Meadows’s remarks wereechoed by presidential campaignadviser Jason Miller, who told FoxNews Sunday that “The election isgoing to be on Nov 3 and Presi-dent Trump wants the election tobe on Nov 3.”

Trump raised the possibility onThursday of delaying the coun-

try’s presidential election in No-vember, alleging that “universalmail-in voting” will make the 2020election “the most inaccurate andfraudulent” in history.

Meanwhile, Trump on Thurs-day suggested delaying the U.S.elections, an idea immediately re-jected by both Democrats and hisfellow Republicans in Congress -the sole branch of governmentwith the authority to make such achange.

Critics and even Trump’s alliesdismissed the notion as an unseri-ous attempt to distract from dev-astating economic news, butsome legal experts warned thathis repeated attacks could under-mine his supporters’ faith in theelection process.

Sri Lanka has reported 2,816 in-fections of the new coronavirus and11 Covid-19 deaths as of Sunday. The totals are lower than in neigh-bouring south Asian countries, heldin check by a strict lockdown sinceMarch.

“We will make it safe for you tovote,” said chief election commis-sioner Mahinda Deshapriya, urgingpeople to vote without fear.

The Rajapaksa brothers, whobuilt their political careers as Sin-halese Buddhist nationalists, are

elder Rajapaksa’s presidency.Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who won thepresidency in November, is not upfor re-election in the parliamentarypolls. Given the support the broth-ers enjoy among the Sinhalese ma-jority, Mahinda is favoured to be-come Prime Minister over SajithPremadasa, analysts say. Sri Lankadoes not have a tradition of con-ducting political opinion polls.

The opposition candidate is theson of Ranasinghe Premadasa, whowas assassinated while President bya Tamil suicide bomber in 1993. TheRajapaksas want to return to thepresidency powers that were dilutedby previous governments as part ofreforms to prevent abuses of power.

In June, Netflix India announceda package of entertainment con-sisting of 17 films that are all set topremiere directly on the digitalplatform in the coming fewmonths. Ever since the OTT plat-form has revealed these names,Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena:The Kargil Girl has become the talkof the town.

Karan Johar’s Dharma Produc-tions and Zee Studios’ film GunjanSaxena: The Kargil Girl is a biopicbased on the Indian Air Force’s firstwoman pilot in combat, whoplayed a crucial role in the 1999Kargil War - Flight Lieutenant Gun-jan Saxena. After the announce-ment of the movie last year, Janhvi’sfans are pretty much excited towatch her giving a tribute to the re-al combat warrior who has servedthe nation and has always empow-ered women. The film also starsbiggies like Angad Bedi and PankajTripathi that makes it morethrilling. Karan Johar has alwaysshown interest in periodic dramasand pro-military films that high-light our history and the army re-spectively. He was credited earlierfor producing films like The GhaziAttack and Kesari under his pro-duction house Dharma Produc-tions.

Here are the five reasons towatch this biopic on a woman whoplayed an important role in Indianhistory.

1. Stellar Cast: The success of a

film is majorly dependent on itscast, and in this case, the castamazingly fits the characters. Theaudience will be able to enjoy theperfect fusion between the fresh-ness of Janhvi Kapoor, the raw tal-ent of Angad Bedi with the years of

experience that Pankaj Tripathiholds. Pankaj Tripathi, who earlierplayed a negative character in Net-flix’s Sacred Games is back but thistime in the role of a loving and car-ing father.

2. An Inspiring Story: The film is

based on true events from the lifeof IAF’s Flight Lieutenant GunjanSaxena. Coming from an army fam-ily, Gunjan too dreamed to join themilitary. Her dream became true in1994 when she cleared the ShastraSeema Bal exams. During the KargilWar in 1999, the responsibility ofoperation Vijay was given to Gun-jan where she had to supply medi-cine and food to the army fightingahead and to keep a watch on thePakistani Army. She flew the Chee-tah helicopter which was a symbolof hope for the Indian Army.

3. Enthralling Visuals: Eventhough the film is not completely awar movie but it will show a fewhistorical glimpses of Indo-Pakborder from 1999’s Kargil War. Asthe technology has outshined theIndian Cinema in the past fewyears, it is for sure that it would be atreat to our eyes to see JanhviKapoor flying a combat Cheetahhelicopter above the line of control.

4. An Emotional Father-Daugh-ter Bond: It is true that there is awoman behind every successfulman, but it is also a fact that behindevery successful woman there is afather who has supported her. Gun-jan Saxena’s father was himselfarmy personnel and he entirelysupported Gunjan to achieve hergoals. Being in the army for yearshe knew about the tension at theborders and yet sending his daugh-ter to serve the nation on the front-line prove that he was lionhearted.

While Gunjan is played by Jhanvi,Pankaj Tripathi plays the on-screenfather and this bond will surely giveyou both tears and goosebumps.

5. Intriguing Background Music:One of the most important ele-ments of the films based on mili-tary events are the background mu-sic or sound effects. The script con-sists of love, drama, patriotism, andwar sequences; all these moods aretotally different and demands a dif-ferent form of music. The music di-rectors of Gunjan Saxena: TheKargil Girl have completely justifiedthe script by providing a variety ofmusic according to the scenes. Themusic when Janhvi is flying her he-licopter between the mountains isabsolutely intriguing.

6. Director Sharan Sharma: Gun-jan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will alsomark Sharan Sharma’s directorialdebut. With great script and storyalong with some big names likeKaran Johar’s Dharma Productions,Zee Studios, and Netflix have madeSharan’s entry in the industry amemorable one. To make a film ona subject like this needs a braveheart. After watching the trailer, you can say that Sharan has flaw-lessly sailed the boat.

Helmed by Sharan Sharma,Gunjan Saxena will be releasing onAugust 12, 2020, ahead of Indepen-dence Day and we cannot wait tosee Janhvi Kapoor in the characterof this brave Indian Air Force pilotthat made history.

Here are six reasons one cannot miss JanhviKapoor’s Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl

Frontline workers have beenputting themselves at risk of contract-ing Coronavirus themselves. Theyhave been at this for over 125 daysnow. They are exhausted. Fatigue isreal. Their mental health too is suffer-ing in the process among other things.

Experts came together to discussand raise funds for these healthcareworkers who have been tirelessly do-ing their duty. Medical experts includ-ing Dr Mulffi Ladakwala, Dr SiddhantBhargava, Dr Karishma Vijan, Dr An-jali Chhabria and Deanne Pandaytalked about how to maintain healthand ensure it doesn’t degrade, duringthe Coronavirus Pandemic.

This live was conducted to raisefunds and awareness on how to main-tain health during Covid-19.

Some of the important points ofdiscussion included:

Impact of Covid-19 on mentalhealth:

People have never died alone sothey are scared of the pandemic. Thisis why it is affecting their mentalhealth more.

Maintaining a routine is impor-tant. Here’s how to do it:

Divide your day into 5 - - Me time- Work time

- Time to learn a new skill- Time to connect with friends- Time to give back to nature, soci-

ety or anybody else you wish to, inyour own way.

If you are still feeling low, it is bestto reach out to your friends, family orexperts who can help you.

Do not neglect this feeling, it willdo more harm than good to not justyourself but people around you aswell. While it is not necessary to workout every day, it is necessary to get outof your bed and keep the body mov-ing.

Make sure you are doing what youlove. Find a reason to jump out of bedevery morning. Ikigai is the Japanesesecret to a long, healthy life. It is thepure joy of doing something with allyour focus, love and energy. If youhaven’t found it yet, use this time tofind out that you love and keep sometime apart for focusing on this.

While the number of cases seemsto be reducing, with a one-day recordof just 700 in Mumbai, Dr MulffiLadakwala clears the air about the de-cline in the number of COVID positiveresults. People are getting blood testsand scans done without actually do-ing the COVID tests. So the numbercan’t be true. People are self-quaranti-ning themselves without the scare ofBMC shutting everything up.

A lot of home remedies have beenprescribed to keep the virus at bay.But will all the home remedies likeHaldi, kadha etc. help in increasingthe immunity?

The experts say no. They recom-mend everybody eat a normal andbalanced meal. Dr Siddhant recom-mends not to overdo stuff. He alsobelieves that if you have not had allthe home remedies for years, it ismiraculously not going to increaseimmunity.

Lockdown has you mentally and physically exhausted?
