The Foxconn 4Tech Warehouse Management Sys-tem (WMS) focuses on planning, managing and monitoring logistics and warehousing processes in connection with enterprise ERP systems and production. The basic function of the system is managing the processes of acceptance, storage, stock removal, preparation and removal of mate-rial to/from the production, with an emphasis on cooperation with manufacturing. Basic optimiza-tion in relation to production can be done at the material preparation stage, thus simplifying some manufacturing operations or completely elimina-ting them. For example in Pick-to-Light type sys-tems where the correct product confi guration is already assured at the material preparation stage.

Add-on Smart Routing:

Further optimization of warehouse processes in relation to manufacturing can be achieved throu-gh the Foxconn 4Tech Smart Routing (SR) Task Schedule, which is directly linked to the current state of production.

Expanding traditionally managed warehouse through Smart Routing:

• Prioritizing tasks beyond the plan• Removing bottlenecks in manufacturing intralogistics• Minimize material movement in multi-stage production

Smart Routing expands on basic system confi -gurations by a physical description and storage location map, including access points, paths, and production areas. In addition, the system uses a defi nition of employee roles, enterprise ERP, deli-very information and signals from production sys-tem on the sate of production orders.

The direct output is measured information on the use of staff , including breakdowns into detailed steps of each task, which can then be analysed.

Add-on Track & Trace:

The human factor plays a very important role in every area of the manufacturing process in terms of quality and eff iciency. Management Evolution de-livers automated confi rmation of activity through the Foxconn 4Tech Track & Trace (TaT) module that monitors, recognizes and validates comple-ted tasks with the help of the Industrial Internet of Things, RFID and RTLS technology.

The highest levels of management are also Au-tomated Trolley (AGV) instructions, which opera-te completely autonomously aft er assigning the task.

Foxconn 4Tech MES enables you to optimize your production activities from entering inputs and scheduling resources for production, control, trac-king, and detailed inventory tracking based on production orders and schedules. A record of the production process of the fi nal product is made during all processes. The native product sheet in-cludes a detailed structure of the manufacturing operations performed and a record of the source material.

The Foxconn 4Tech MES system in default contains standardized features that can be combined in a detailed defi nition of the manufacturing process.

The defi nition of the manufacturing process may include both the operation of the equipment or machines and the person. Standard features can be customized according to customer require-ments.

Foxconn 4Tech MES is a modular system open to communication with third party systems, both for communication with information systems (typi-cally inputs and outputs of ERP, PLM and EDI sys-tems) and for communication with machines or other devices (e.g. sensors or switches) and built-in support of the Foxconn 4Tech MES Industrial IoT
