Grants fetched BCUD, University of Pune. Research Project total 2.80 lakhs.

Departmental Achievements 1) Final year (B.E. Civil) student have developed

working model of “waterless portable

composting toilet’, as an initiative towards

swachh Bharat Abhiyan which is expected to set

a new benchmark in field of sanitation and to

solve water crises in rural areas. This project has

got national level 12 awards and is in process of

patenting.

2) Final year (B.E Civil) students have Modified

“Shirpur” pattern of water management and

suggested its implementation in Kopargaon

region which is dealing strongly with scarcity of

water. This project has been found extremely

helpful in Water Management and to meet the

concerns of the region. This project has won

award in National level Project competition.

3) Final year (B.E Civil) students have introduced a

new building material type “Translucent

Concrete” and have successfully tested and

experimented on it. It has been found workable

and the students are further proceeding towards

producing and marketing this product. This

project has won award in national level project

competition.

4) Final year (B.E Civil) students deal exaggerately

on advances in structural engineering and

students have studied the mix design of fly ash

based geopolymer concrete which is the most

innovative uprising in field of Civil Engineering.

This project has won award in national level

project competition

5) Final year (B.E Civil) students have developed

“bubble deck technology” in slab construction

which reduces self-weight up to 40% which can

be implemented in low cost housing This project

has won major prizes in paper presentations at

national levels.

6) Department actively involved in SPPU/AICTE

R&D activities and providing consultancy

devices to Govt. and private construction

industries.

7) Every year we have University toppers in merit

list of Savitribai Phule Pune University.

8) Faculties of civil department have published 35+

research papers in peer reviewed journal in the

academic year 2015-16.

9) Stringent academic monitoring have resulted that

our 90% students in final year are in first

class/distinction since last five years.

elevated as a "Knowledge Centre" due to its

excellent performance. Under this Knowledge

Centre, a “Train the Teachers Programme” was

organized for teachers from nearby schools.

9. Department organized a ten days Faculty

Preparation Programme (FPP) from 01/12/2015

to 10/12/2015. In this, every faculty delivered

theory lectures and gave demonstration of

practicals of the subjects assigned to them for the

second semester of the academic year 2015-16.
