MALE GROOMING If in the 90s, the men cosmetics market went unnoticed (4 % only admitted to use male care), today they are 50 % to use regularly products which are dedicated to them. With a growth 3x superior to the women cosmetics market, and a turnover estimated at more than 1 billion euros for France in 2014 (Euromonitor source), the market of the "grooming" has really exploded. Between 2012 and 2014, the sale of male cosmetics in the world increased of about 70% (Mintel source - 2014) and the world male market of cosmetics should reach 166 billion dollars before 2022 (Allied Market Research source - 2016) Why? On one hand, the man of today is always more worried by his appearance. In a society in perpetual evolution, it became essential to present at best, and thus to take care of the skin. On the other hand, we notice a real evolution in the mentalities. To take care of one in the male is not from now a taboo, either for the men, or for the women. The hygiene is not synonymic any more of virility or femininity but of well-being, and since a few years, the well-being and the health became priorities for a majority of men. With the new trends appearing from the male press, and the constant desire of looking younger and more dynamic, the men also became more and more demanding.

The male offer: In a society where gender equality is becoming a rule, men developed their sensibility to skincare. If at the beginning cosmetics for men were limited to basic hygiene products as shampoos, shower gels or after-shave products, the range has considerably widened to answer from now on all the specific needs for every man.

THE HIPSTER Irresistible beard oil

These last years, the streets of our capitals saw landing of funny characters. The Hipster of today is very different from his American elder of the 50s.
