1. REVISIONS TO BID FORM

2. ANSWERS TO BIDDERS’ QUESTIONS

BIDDER’S QUESTION DESIGN TEAM RESPONSE

1. The generator specs call for Remote Communications via Modbus RTU and remote Monitoring Software. Will a remote annunciator be required? I do not see any conduit for a data line to the generator mounted control panel housing the Modbus RTU. Please clarify.

A remote annunciator will not be required since the Generator is not used for Life Safety. Also, no conduit is necessary because we are doing a wireless monitoring system.

2. In the Pre-Bid Meeting it was mentioned that the Owner will redirect and relocate the drainage swale around the proposed generator pad location. Is this correct?

This is correct. Contractor will be responsible to confirm compaction of the site and install the concrete pad as specified.

3. Please clarify the contractor’s responsibi-lity regarding the natural gas line for the proposed natural gas generator option. Will the owner make final gas connection to the generator?

If the natural gas generator option is selec-ted, Owner will arrange with Texas Gas Ser-vice for a gas meter. Contractor will be res-ponsible to make the connection from the gas service line to the generator.

4. Anticipated Start Date Between late March and mid-April 2021. 5. Time for completion: Confirming 30 days. 30 days subject to lead time for materials. 6. Liquidated Damages and Maintenance

Period Bid documents specify $500/day liquidated damages and require a one-year warranty on labor and materials.

7. Please provide a catalog number and contact information on the Ayantra Wireless Generator Monitoring System as required in Alternate #6.

The Ayantra system shall be the Fleetsentry-Pro and shall also include the fuel level sensor. Refer to attachment from Trinity MEP Engineering.

8. Please provide Contact information for Kratos Industries ATS Retrofit Kit required in Alternate #4.

3. REVISIONS TO BID FORM

a. The Bid Form has been revised to provide more detail on the intent of the Owner as to the components of the base bid and the alternate bid, as well as the trade in value for the BND’s existing generator. A revised Bid Form is attached to this Addendum No. 8.

4. MISCELLANEOUS CLARIFICATIONS

a. The Owner’s intent and the possible Owner’s decisions for this bid are as follows:

i. Trade-In Value for our existing generator, as described in Alternate 1 of the Bid Form tabulation,

ii. A Base Bid price for the complete installation of a UL listed Diesel Generator to sup-ply electricity to the Main Building as described in Alternate 2 of the Bid Form, including all the pertinent and required connections to make the installation fully functional and operable within code requirements, and

iii. An Alternate Bid price for the complete installation of a UL listed Natural Gas Gene-rator to supply electricity to the Main Building as described in Alternate 3 of the Bid Form, including all the pertinent and required connections to make the installation fully functional and operable within code requirements.

iv. The complete installation on ii. and iii. above is to include all pertinent items from Alternates 4, 5 and 6 to make the installation fully functional and operable in compli-ance with code requirements.

b. Please note revisions to Sheets ES1 and EG1 as follows:

i. ES1 – Electrical site plan revised to add a new panel-G. Refer to attachment.

ii. EG1 – Revised electrical schematic diagram and addition of panel-G. Refer to attachment.

Proposal of hereinafter called BIDDER, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of , or a partnership or an individual doing business as .

To: The Brownsville Navigation District, Texas, hereinafter called OWNER. Gentlemen:

The BIDDER, in compliance with your invitation for bids for the “MAIN BUILDING GENERATOR CONNECTION” project, having examined the drawings and specifications with related documents and the site of the proposed work, and being familiar with all of the conditions surrounding the construction of the proposed project, including the availability of materials and labor, hereby proposes to furnish all labor, materials and supplies, and to construct the project in accordance with the contract documents, within the time set forth herein, and at the attached unit prices. These price(s) are to cover all expenses incurred in performing the work required under the contract documents, of which this proposal is a part. These price(s) are firm and shall not be subject to adjustment provided this Proposal is accepted within ninety (90) days after the time set for receipt of proposals.

BIDDER hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before a date to be specified in a written “Notice to Proceed” to be issued by the OWNER and to fully complete the project within 30 (thirty) calendar days, as defined in the specifications. BIDDER further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of five hundred ($500.00) dollars for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in Article 3 of the Agreement.

BIDDER agrees to perform all work for which he contracts as described in the specifica-tions and as shown on the plans, for the attached unit prices:
