Retrouvaille: Help for Hurting Marriages
Retrouvaille is an international, peer-run program that has helped hundreds of thousands of hurting married couples turn the tide, find new hope, and rediscover the love that initially brought them together. Surveys have shown that 3 out of 4
couples who complete the entire program are still married five years later with stronger, healthier marriages.
Retrouvaille will be held locally March 5-7, 2021 in Fargo. For more information visit HelpOurMarriage.com or contact us at (701) 356-7962 or via email at [email protected].
Stewardship Moment January 31, 2021 - 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time “Brothers and sisters: I should like you to be free of anxieties.” - 1 Corinthians 7:32
How much anxiety do we bring upon ourselves by constantly worrying about not having enough or attaining more things? God won’t necessarily give you everything you want, but He will provide
everything you need. Try this – use the word “pray” instead of the word “worry” in the future. Then pray for things instead of worrying about them.
Reminder: The deadline for the CDA Education Contest is Wednesday, February 3rd.
This year's themes are "Let all you do be done with love." 1 Cor. 16:14 OR Show love to one another.
Please do not put your name on the front of your entry so they can be judged anonymously. Bring your entries to CCD classes. Thanks!
Lord, let me waste no more tears of regret. Help me to turn the leaf with the resolve to rise above my errors. Amen

Feel free to bring a comfy portable chair.
Please consider becoming an Adorer. Many of the scheduled hours only have one person, and this would also be an ideal
opportunity for you to sign on knowing that there is backup on the days you cannot come. It also helps out the other person when in that situation. We also need more substitutes. A quiet hour with the Lord brings such
peace that only He can give. What are you waiting for? Come!! Please call the office at 324-2144.

Hearts Afire
Join us on February 14th or 16th, as we begin a 33-day preparation for Marian Consecration. For six weeks, we’ll individually read about and reflect on four great Marian giants: St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, Blessed Mother Teresa, and Pope John Paul II. They’ll teach us the secrets to drawing closer to the Heart of Jesus through the Heart of Mary. In our weekly meetings, [Sunday 6-7:30 pm or
Tuesdays 12:45-2:15 pm] we’ll share our insights within our small group and then watch a 30-minute video. The video by popular author and speaker, Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC, brings our individual reflections and group experience into a clear and live-able focus.
Please call the office to register 324-2144.
A bill in the North Dakota Senate would force priests to violate the seal of confession or face criminal fines and even jail time.
In the United States, people expect to exercise their religion, including going to confession or getting spiritual counseling, without the government invading their privacy and religious rights. SB 2180 would force priests and other members of the clergy to reveal what is said during confession and spiritual counseling in cases of suspected child abuse or vulnerable adult abuse.
The Catholic Church is committed to protecting children and vulnerable adults. Clergy are already mandated reporters when the information is learned outside of the capacity of a spiritual advisor. The seal of confession, however, is inviolable. It can never be violated for any reason. All persons, of all faiths, should have this minimum expectation in the practice of their religion.
Act now to defeat this dangerous attack on our fundamental freedoms.

NEWS FROM THE FOOD PANTRY
We did it!! St. Cecilia's reached over 400 lbs. of items last month!! Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
Faith Lutheran assisted at the January distribution and served 68 families. 53 Adults, 29 Children and 38 Seniors shared 2044 lbs. of supplies.
Donations came from Faith Lutheran...10 lbs; Spectators...16 lbs; First Lutheran...19 lbs; Martin Baptist...199 lbs; and St. Cecilia's...411 lbs.
Items we are in need of are saltine and graham crackers, hot cereals, boxed cereals with lower sugar content, baking supplies such as sugar, shortening and oil, chocolate and other flavored chips, ketchup and mustard, salad dressing mayonnaise, salt and pepper, pasta products, all paper products, size 5 diapers and personal care items.
Warehouse Grocery has bright pink "HIGH NEED ITEM" signs beside items the pantry could use. Items will change from month to month. Items may be purchased and left at the front of the store or brought to our baskets at both Entrances of the church.
Harvey High School FFA group will be hosting for the month of February. Distribution date is Thursday, February 11th. Our items will be taken to the pantry on Tuesday, February 9th after noon Mass. Thank you once again for your most generous and giving hearts.....drop those donations in our baskets to help those in need and know that Jesus is smiling at you!! God Bless
Brother Knights, Regular meeting will be held on February 2, 7:00PM. Please make an effort to attend. Our meetings are one hour. Our raffle was very successful allowing us to continue to support college scholarships and a seminarian on his calling to become a priest.
On January 23rd we lost a member of our Fourth Degree Assembly. Albion Hoffner from Esmond passed away. He was a very dedicated KC and devout Catholic. Six of our 4th Degree members served Honor Guard at his funeral on Saturday.
On Sunday the 31st, Sister Anne Germaine, will lead the Perpetual Rosary for Vocations at my request. Twice a year we are assigned dates to conduct a Vocations Rosary. We are blessed to have our Sisters and a full time Priest in our Parish. We will be judging coloring contest pictures at the meeting to see whose pictures move on to the State level. The other item of importance is the upcoming State Convention. You may not like the weather, but it is an ice fisherman's dream season!
