6. REMOVE AND RE-INSTALL (OR PROTECT IN PLACE) ALL EXISTING EQUIPMENT AND DEVICES TO REMAIN ON OR IN WALLS, CEILINGS AND FLOORS WHICH SHALL BE EXPOSED TO DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES AND WHICH MAY BE DAMAGED BY DUST, DEBRIS, ETC.

RELOCATE AS NECESSARY ALL EXISTING DUCTWORK, PIPING, AND CONTROLS FOUND PASSING THROUGH THE AREA OF CONSTRUCTION, AND WHICH ARE PRESENTLY IN USE OTHER PORTIONS OF THE BUILDING UNAFFECTED BY THIS PROJECT PHASE, TO MAINTAIN THE CONTINUITY OF SERVICES AND GROUNDING, AND TO CONCEAL THEM ABOVE NEW CEILINGS.

9. ALL EXISTING DAMAGED DUCTWORK, GRILLES, AND DEVICES WITHIN THE AREA OF CONSTRUCTION AND SHOWN TO REMAIN IN OPERATION SHALL BE REPLACED WITH NEW MATERIALS CONFORMING TO THESE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AT NO COST TO OWNER.

GENERAL NOTES:

A. CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL VENTILATION LAYOUTS PRIOR TO STARTING DEMOLITION.

B. VENTILATION PLAN SHOW BASED-OFF OF EXISTING AS-BUILT DRAWINGS AND GENERAL SITE OBSERVATIONS.

NOTES :

1. EXISTING VAV BOX TO REMAIN. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE ALL SUPPLY DUCTWORK, DIFFUSERS AND ASSOCIATED ACCESSORIES DOWNSTREAM OF VAV BOX AS INDICATED.

2. EXISTING VAV BOX TO BE DEMOLISHED. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE DUCTWORK AND ACCESSORIES FROM UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM OF THE BOX. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE ASSOCIATED DIFFUSERS AND CONTROLS.

3. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE EXISTING RETURN DUCTWORK, DIFFUSERS AND ALL ACCESSORIES AS INDICATED.

4. EXISTING CABINET UNIT HEATER TO BE DEMOLISHED. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE ALL ASSOCIATED DUCTWORK, DIFFUSERS AND CONTROLS.

5. EXISTING CABINET UNIT HEATER TO REMAIN. REPLACE EXISTING DIFFUSERS WITH NEW.

6. EXISTING GAS SERVICE SERVING AIR HANDLING UNIT ONLY (500 MBH). LOAD OF 120 MBH FOR WATER HEATER IS ADDED TO THE SYSTEM. UPGRADE SERVICE AS REQUIRED TO HANDLE TOTAL LOAD OF 720 MBH. REPLACE EXISTING GAS PIPE WITH 2" LINE FROM THE GAS METER UP TO THE LOCATION INDICATED.

7. EXISTING HUMIDIFIER TO REMAIN.

8. RELOCATE EXISTING THERMOSTAT FOR VAV-3 TO THE ELECTRICAL ROOM.

9. DEMOLISH EXISTING AIR COMPRESSOR AND ALL ASSOCIATED PIPING AND ACCESSORIES. DEMOLISH HOUSEKEEPING PAD AND PATCH FLOOR TO MATCH EXISTING.

10. REMOVE EIXSTING RETURN AIR REGISTER. PATCH WALL TO MATCH EXISTING 2-HOUR FIRE RATING OF THE ELECTRICAL ROOM.

GENERAL NOTES:

A. MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL REQUIRED SYSTEM SHUT-DOWNS IN ORDER TO ISOLATE THE BUILDING FROM ACTIVE SERVICES.

B. INFORMATION ON EXISTING SYSTEMS SHOWN ON THESE PLANS IS BASED OFF OF ORIGINAL DESIGN DRAWINGS AND LIMITED FIELD SURVEY OF EXISTING CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK AND REPORT ANY DISCREPANCY TO THE A/E PRIOR TO DEMOLITION .

NOTES:1. EXISTING EXHAUST FAN TO REMAIN.

2. EXISTING TOILET EXHAUST FAN (E)TE-1 TO BE REPLACED WITH NEW. DISCONNECT AND REMOVE FAN AND PREPARE FOR NEW FAN RECONNECTION TO EXISTING DUCTWORK.

CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE NEW CONTROL WIRING FROM MCQUAY MICROTEC CONTROLLER TO VFD FOR SPEED CONTROL AND FEEDBACK. COORDINATE WITH MANUFACTURER AND SITE CONDITIONS FOR PROTOCOL USED, WIRE SIZE AND TYPE.
