14Safety Guidelines

Certain rides & attractions have restrictions based onphysical or medical conditions. Signs are posted at eachride entrance to give safety guidelines.

Shirt and shoes are required on all rides.

Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. Please see park map for smoking areas.

For the Safety of our guests.We reserve the right to inspect all bags, backpacks &other containers brought into the park.

Hoosier Lands Park Rules!15Emergency proceduresIf you decide to keep gum or any type of food in your mouth while on a ride, we will not take any responsibility if you choke.

If you have any type of health issues such as:Respiratory ProblemsPregnancyHeart ProblemsJust had a major surgery

***then you shouldnt get on any rides and if you choose to do so then its at your own risk

16Everyday Procedures (cont)If there is some kind of health issue while a ride is in progress:

First, stop the ride.The ride operator would call the first aid station and report the emergency.

Once the first aid arrive they should call the ambulanceEvacuate the other persons on the ride.Block the area from other people.Examine the person with the emergency.Close the ride until further notice; give time in order to determine whether the incident was caused by the ride or not.17In case of a ride getting stuck of any kind:People should stay seated and follow directions from ride operator.Ride operator should call the security station.The security will alert the fire department.Once everyone is taken out of the ride by the fire department, they need to be checked for injuries or any health problems.

18*In case a child is reported MISSING:The guardian should report to the Security Guards and give them needed information.The Security needs to report the information to the park on an intercom so it can be heard by the people in the park.The police will be notified and called to the park to assist in the search.The park will automatically be shut down and no one can enter or leave until the child is found. ALL CHILDREN should receive an orange wristband to distinguish them from adults quicker.Violence issues:Security should be immediately at the scene.Security should remove those involved in the fight from the scene.If need be, those involved may be removed from the park. If need be, those involved may be arrested.Weather Conditions:TORNADOES: the staff should evacuate all of the people to emergency designated areas and other safe closed off areas. FLOODS: evacuate the building.SNOW STORMS: when there are blizzard conditions the park will be closed.If there is a winter storm advisory by the National Weather Service then the park will be closed.If there is up to 6 inches of snow then the amusement will be closed.

Those under 48 are not permitted on adult rides. Arcades and alternative rides are available. Some sandals not permitted on rides (Please see ride attendant)

23INDIANA TEEN WORK HOURS!Indiana Teen Work Hours Labor Law Poster will and must be posted for employees to see. No minor who is 16 or 17 years of age and a student may be employed or permitted to work on a school day after 7:30 a.m. and before 3:30 p.m. unless the employer has on file a written exception issued by the school that the child attends. Minors 16 or 17 years of age who have graduated from high school or have received a General Education Development (GED) diploma are not subject to the hour restrictions set out below and are not required to obtain a work permit. TEEN BREAK LAWAs a teen worker under the age of 18, you must receive one or two breaks totaling 30 minutes when you are scheduled to work 6 or more consecutive hours.

EFFECTIVE July 1, 2003 Teens under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a coworker who is at least 18 years of age when working after 10:00 p.m. and before 6:00 a.m. in an establishment that is open to the public.
