We are nearing the end of our Parish Conse-cra on. To conclude the thirty three days of prepara on, we will have a special Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 2pm on Sunday, Au-gust 15th, which is the Feast of the Assum-
p on. Following the Mass there will be food in Sacred Heart Hall, and we hope everyone will join us for lunch. Between now and Augsut 15th we will con nue to pray the Ro-sary together each day in St. Mary's Church. We are thankful for everyone who has been doing the consecra on and joining us to pray the Rosary throughout the week. Please email Chris Car-mody with ques ons - [email protected]. Our parish will be doing a collec on for school supplies to sup-port the Lynn Public Schools. We will be collec ng all school sup-plies from now through Labor Day Weekend. Thank you for pick-ing up pens, pencils, markers, crayons, backpacks, and every-thing else school related, and then placing it in the bucket near the church doors. GODPARENTS: A child may have one or two godparents (also called sponsors); if two are chosen, they must be male and female. In order for someone to be eligible as a godparent they must be chosen by the parents, have the ability and the inten on to ful ll the role, be at least 16 years of age, and be a con rmed Roman Catholic, already received the Most Holy Eucharist, is leading a life in harmony with the Catholic Faith and will be a good role model for the child being bap zed, and be neither the father nor the mother of the child.
