St. John's Lutheran
Church & School
St. John’s will soon be
celebrating National
Lutheran Schools Week.
National Lutheran Schools
Week is scheduled for
January 28th-
Feb 1st. This year’s theme
is Real.Present.God.
National Lutheran Schools
Week provides a network
of nearly 2,300 LCMS
preschools, elementary
schools and high schools
with the public opportunity
to or claim and celebrate
God’s work among us in
Lutheran schools.
We thank God for the
opportunity to provide
excellent academic
preparation for the
children we serve.
We are most grateful for
the opportunity to share
Jesus’ amazing love with
children and their
families.

CEA Movie Night– Friday, February 1st

St. John’s Lutheran School is in a
unique position; that of having many
students somewhat evenly spread
between the Marysville and Fair-
banks school districts, as well as a
small population of students from
other outlying districts.
St. John’s will ONLY follow the
calamity schedule of the Fairbanks
school district; when it comes to
weather related delays or cancella-
tions. To stay informed, tune to any
of the local news channels on the
television and or local radio stations.

Mission of the Month
The Mission of the Month for Janu-
ary is the St. John’s LYF trip to the
LCMS Youth Gathering. The gather-
ing will be held July 11-15 in Minne-
apolis, MN. The gathering provides
the opportunity to come together as a
community of God's people to learn
more about Christ Jesus, the Chris-
tian faith, and our Lutheran identity.
St. John’s Chapel offerings during
the month of January will be do-
nated to help off-set the cost of the
trip. Please consider donating gen-
erously to this very worthy cause!
Mrs. Monroe’s 3rd grade students were
very excited to receive all new diction-
aries. These dictionaries were very
generously donated by the Marysville
Elks. Many thanks for the resource!
