In talking to several individuals in my community who are on a spiritual path I have discovered a common thread amongst our experiences as of late: change. Yes, I know that the only constant is change, but this change has a different feel to it. It feels really big…

We are being asked to move to new locations, change jobs, end relationships, reconfigure business...that kind of big change.

And there is another consistent theme amongst this change. We are being asked to take a huge leap of faith while doing it. One community member said it best when she said, “I am being asked to let go of the way I have always done something, the way I have

lived my life and move into something new, but that something new hasn’t presented itself yet.” Mulling it over I realized we are all in Transition. Duh, Megan! No not *that* kind of transition, Transition as in a stage in labor. In the early stages of labor the muscles are learning to contract and gain a rhythm, in active labor the contractions become more rhythmic, powerful and closer together, things start to get more uncomfortable, more focus is required. Then there is transition...things are extremely uncomfortable, this is when morale and energy flags, this is when the woman may say “I can’t do it. I’m going to die.” This is when her body is transitioning from a passive expansion caused by the contractions to the pushing stage, the action and task aspect of labor. *That* is the kind of transition so many in my community seem to find themselves in. We are tired, our morale may be flagging, we may say “We can’t do it.” This will soon change. Soon we will be guided to push, guided to take inspired action, given tasks. Our passive expansion will be complete and we will be called to act. You can do this, I know you can. You’re made to do this. Just focus on your breath.

I invited the Angels and Higher Guides of our readers to bring forward guidance on what opportunities they could follow through on this month in order to experience even more Love in their lives. I pulled the following cards using Doreen Virtue’s Ascended Masters Oracle Cards (Hay House, 2007):

Last month we were guided to take a compassionate and loving approach with ourselves as we navigated change in our lives and this is still the case. However, we are moving in to an even greater experience of the change and we may be feeling challenged, triggered, fearful and our faith may be flagging. This however, is the time for us to be bolstered by Spirit, truly allowing ourselves to open to the Divine within us and the assistance around us. We are being asked to let go of the struggle, let go of the worry, the strife and the fear and to open to the power of Love. Breath it in, allow it to renew and refresh you. It is also time to look at how we are spending our time and our energy. Are we in balance? Are we giving and receiving with equal generosity? Using the energy of Love we are being asked to bring all of our life and our self back into balance. Gracefully release anything that is taking you out of balance and restore your faith and focus. This month’s focus is on creating an even flow of give and take in your life.

A Journey of Self-Discovery & Peace Unfolds

This month I am introducing you to one of my personal favorite Masters, Saint Francis. As a Groomer, who is an extreme animal lover, Saint Francis has been a very strong influence throughout my life! I will share some of my personal stories later, but let’s begin with a

brief biography on the man who lovingly helps animals and humans world wide!

His early life

Born Giovanni Francesco di Bernardone in Italy in 1181 to a wealthy family, he was afforded all the luxuries of wealth. He wore nice clothes, had lots of friends and got into street brawls often. As a child of an affluent family, he loved all pleasurable things, although, from a young age he had the heart of a Saint. One day, he was working for his father at the market. As he was selling his father’s wares, a beggar came to him asking for alms. He was in the middle of a business transaction and wasn’t able to get to the beggar. Once he closed the deal, he ran after the beggar and gave him everything that was within his pockets. His friends all made fun of him and his father reprimanded him, but he was happy to have done it.

In 1201 he joined the military. He was captured and put into prison. It is said that this is where he had his very first vision. After he was released, he went back to his old life with his friends. Feeling uncomfortable with this lifestyle, he decided to reenlist to the military. Just

before he was able to accomplish this, he had another vision. This caused him to change his whole life around by staying home and vowing to live a life of poverty. At this time, he began to heal the sick. One day, while praying in front of a church in Rome that had begun to fall in to disrepair, he had a vision of Jesus. This vision spoke to him saying, “Francis, Francis, go and repair my house, which, as you can see, is falling into ruins!” He immediately went to work, repairing all the churches that he could. This infuriated his father! So much so that he beat Francis over the issue. Francis then turned around and disowned his father, making him totally unable to receive any financial assistance from the man. Francis left and set out to help in any way he could. He traveled many places, including Egypt, Spain, and Jerusalem. During this time, he often traveled to the mountains to pray. On one of these excursions, he did a 40 day fast. During this fast, he saw a vision of Christ and the Angels and was given Stigmata, something which would occur throughout his life.

In 1212, Francis founded the “Order of the Friars Minor.” This was a group of men who lived their lives as Saints would, vowing to live a pious life of poverty. This order later became known as the Franciscans. As a priest, Francis would begin to preach to animals, just as he would to people. He believed that they deserved to hear Divine wisdom as much as people did. As he spoke to them, they would actually turn their heads and listen. When he would preach to people, animals would gather around too. On occasion, a rabbit would even jump on to his lap. He once tamed a wild wolf that was terrorizing a village. It was killing children and animals. Francis got it to roll over onto its back and let him pet it. The wolf never returned.

Working with Saint Francis

Saint Francis died on October 4th, which is celebrated as his feast day. However he can be celebrated every day! I sure do. He is a great source of power and inspiration to me. (Continued on Page 12)

Dear Friends,

Yes, my birthday's coming up - on September 30th I turn 30! While I never focus on the age of my 8-88 year old friends, I must admit that this big milestone in my life is proving to be a very emotional time for me. Just a few short years ago I

would've given anything to be where I am now - to have a CD to share, to be working more, and to have a day without pain. But it is also because of all of this that I can't help wondering where my life went and I've found myself caught in feelings of failure because of what I have and haven't done. And quite honestly, though I do not like to focus on what I cannot do, I continue to feel very trapped in my own body at times - OK, a lot... However, whilst on holiday, needing some inspiration, I read 'Messenger', a book written about Mattie Stepanek's life by his mother Jeni. Despite having a rare form of muscular dystrophy which meant he dealt with huge physical challenges every day until he died at age 13, he lived a VERY inspiring life, knowing that he was, in his own words, a 'messenger' of hope and peace. Although I would certainly never pretend to have anywhere near those challenges, I do recognize much of his knowing as my own, that if I was to describe who I am, I would say I am a 'messenger' too.

I do not expect everyone to understand that but as difficult as these last few months have been, I also realize that I cannot be all that I am and worry about what others think at the same time! Communicating, music, helping others are not just things I do, they are my PASSION! And I've gotta tell you, there's been nothing like seeing a dream come true, and then falling in love with an amazing but unavailable friend to shake me, break me and then wake me up to what I've been missing out on and what else I want in my life!!! My desire to do what I came here to do is far greater than any fear now!!! So yes,

I talk to angels, yes, I am a writer and a singer and yes, I know I am meant to share my voice and words and to let other people know they can too. No matter what. So call me what you like but that is my truth.

I vowed as a teenager while almost bedbound to follow my heart and be happy, so I've never been driven by money or things that others may define as success and yet, at this point, I KNOW it's time to take my life to the next level so I can spread my messages and songs far and wide!! To sell the rest of the CDs I have printed would be a WONDERFUL part of that because I was given so many beautiful miracles to record the songs with Robert Berry, and all our co-writing and being in the studio were the most JOYFUL experiences I've ever had! Sharing the music we made together means I'll able to CONTINUE to create - I have at least another album in me already! :) So that's my BIRTHDAY WISH - and it would mean so much to me if you could help me get myself out into the world in a bigger way!!!

Dear Julie,

Wonderful Julie! You’re walking through the door your angels have opened for you. They tell me you are very much in-tune with the truth of this situation and what it has brought to you. You are consciously choosing to accept all the amazing gifts this blessed change will have to offer you. Your angels show me that the world you are living in is one full of love and hope. Many others, they say, will be drawn to your energy and will invite you to share in their space. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself moving a few times and meeting a lot of new people in this next stage of your life, as these places and people all come to teach you something or to learn from you. It is appropriate that the angel card I pulled for you is “Earth Angel,” reminding you that you are a light worker who has come to earth to teach about love. As you take on some big changes don’t be afraid to try new things: befriend those

you admire, express yourself fearlessly, and never pass up an opportunity to be of service in a way that you feel passionate about. Have fun creating a new sacred space that will be enjoyed by you and the others in your life as well. Keep your heart open and it will be full.

Your angels show me this business as a brand new start for you and an exciting new chapter in your life. They tell me many things have lead you to this place of perfect and divine timing allowing a manifestation of your life’s purpose into a sustainable career. Right now your soul shines! You are doing a great job with birthing unique ideas, and the angels say that there are also many others who will help share in the responsibility of bringing these ideas into reality. You need only to follow through on nudges you get from your angels pertaining to whom and when you should pass these torches. The angel card I pulled for you is “Counselor,” which is a message

from Archangel Azreal that your work inspires others and that many people benefit from your beautiful guidance. They say to not even for a moment let yourself think that you are not worthy or are not destined to do this work. I was hearing in my ear “Trust more” and “Stay focused”. Your angels tell me that the more this is practiced the more opportunities for growth and expansion will present themselves, and that this will always be the case. They mostly wanted me to remind you that it’s not a race to the finish line, it’s instead about taking the journey along side of those who join you on this path so that you may lead the way. Inspirational Tools for Everyday Life

The Power of Love There are only two frequencies in which all of our emotions fall under, Love and Fear. We have the gift of free will to choose which direction we wish to go in, and what feeling we want to experience. Besides the fact that it feels better to choose love, there are other very beneficial reasons to choose this energy. I recently read a book titled The Power by Rhonda Byrne. I am very inspired by the various teachings of the Law of Attraction and find it a central theme in my work. I believe we are all creators, and we create our reality from the expanded level of our higher selves down to the more minute level of our physical selves and minds. I have been studying for years the inspiring work of Esther and

Jerry Hicks channeling Abraham, as well as Kabbalah (which also teaches about us being creators and attracting what we want in our lives), and of course the popular movie The Secret. However, I always felt while learning all of these teachings there was a piece missing that could bridge all of them together. I wanted to find peace with all of the inspirational ideas I was learning. My study of Kabbalah helped me realize there was a piece missing from The Secret, but I still felt, and resonated with it. In the work of Abraham-Hicks I would question how to get to the feeling place they were describing and found conflict with some of the ancient teachings I had learned. All these were conflicting in my mind for some time and I longed for the common thread. I feel Rhonda Byrne really completed the equation, and validated her previous work The Secret, with her new book The Power. In the popular teachings of the Law of Attraction the majority of the work is based on what “I want” and how to get it. Although I think we all deserve the best and should have the best, I (and many others) in recent years have voiced their concern that this just didn’t feel right, or more so,

didn’t feel complete. I longed to find a way to merge this all in my mind so I could be at peace with the teachings of ancient tools of attraction and the more modern teachings of The Secret. Abraham-Hicks’ work has spoken to this missing piece as well, but you would have to listen or read very closely to catch it, which leaves room for misunderstanding. I do feel they are one of the greatest teachers on the planet today and are amazing guides to us as creators, but I would still have trouble at times getting into “the feeling place” that would attract what I wanted. Thinking of happy things sometimes was hard if I was in a mood of low energy. I found applying what I learned in The Power sped up the process of raising my vibration. Just thinking of the word to this missing piece worked wonders! I’m sure everyone reading is ready to hear, just what is this missing piece? The missing piece that I learned from the book The Power is the power of Love! How appropriate being someone who contributes to The Love More Project that this would be the missing piece I discover; as it is just the thing (Continued on the next page)


that we are trying to spread more of in the world! In Kabbalah we learn what we give out we get back and this is the premise of their view on the Law of Attraction. In the more modern teachings we learn that we just need to feel our way to what we want. In this new book Rhonda Byrns teaches us we need to do both, and I have to say it completely resonated with me. If you are not giving out love, and vibrating love, you are not going to attract what you want in life, and more importantly Love is really what we all ultimately want! True fulfillment comes from sharing. Studies have even shown people who are in a state of depression get out faster when they start doing acts of sharing. So, do you want an example of how this can work? Say you want more money, who doesn’t? If you give some money with love, even if its a little, the Universe must do the same for you! Easy as that! Not only are you going to attract what you desire, you are going to feel great sharing your money with love. Ancient texts including the Bible speak to this in the concept of tithing, or sharing 10% of what you have with others. This is usually money, but can also be done with time. You begin to shift your vibration by every act of sharing you do with love. I emphasize “with love” because if one comes from the place of giving just to receive, or for reasons of the ego, this vibration will also be recognized

by the Universe, and guess what, thats exactly what you’ll get back. In the book The Power, Rhonda Byrns shares many easy tools such as the one I mentioned to attract what you want and bring the vibration of love into your life. Just thinking about the vibration of love, or using power thoughts of love, you shift your vibration instantly. When I can’t think my way out of “a mood” I think of the word love and I start to lift out of that fog. When we are choosing thoughts that are ego based we create a vibration of lack and not thinking there is enough. The truth is there is enough of everything for everyone! Once we shift our perception from ego and lack to love and abundance we immediately see results. I’ve learned this in my life and seen it work for me. I recently went through a period of seeming “lack” which I didn’t want to let go of because my ego was attached to the security of what was comfortable. Once I “let go of those ors” and allowed myself to follow the flow that life was taking me on, I immediately felt abundant and saw an increase in money, time and most of all love. Having an attitude of gratitude for where you are, and what you have where you are, starts the momentum of attracting more and more to you. How blessed are we to be able to buy a cup of coffee, go grocery shopping and drive our cars from one place to another? Many of these things are luxuries our great grandparents didn’t even get to experience!

When we live our days with this in mind things start to shift. I was very inspired by the book The Power and felt it really validated the movie and book The Secret. The Secret served a great purpose in waking many people in the mass culture up to the idea that they are creators and have a spark of the Divine within them. I feel Rhonda Byrne set out to simplify the teachings of The Law of Attraction with her first work The Secret. I myself went back and forth with the message of the movie, but now can watch it again and again and find inspiration, knowing that I know the missing link. What we give out comes back to us. The more love we give out, the more gratitude we give out, the more the Universe is going to want to give to us. You can start to put this in practice today! If you haven’t already started, you can in any moment. Even just smiling at someone as you’re walking down the street will put the wheels in motion! Most of all I want to leave everyone with the reminder to choose love, in everything we do, think and say. The path to true fulfillment comes from choosing the power of love. The Lazarus Project

Raise your hands if you believe that the chicken came before the egg? Okay we good. How many of you believe that if a moth were to fly in your hair you would go crazy? These are beliefs that I believed when I was child. It became my reality. How was I to know that you don’t go crazy? Or another belief that if you crossed your eyes and someone hit you in the back. You will stay crossed eyed. I don’t know if that is really true. I refused to try, in case it was true. It’s funny the things we believe. Sometimes we believe things without ever realizing that that’s what we believe. I came to this awareness when I was no longer able to manifest change into my life. I knew something was wrong. I just couldn’t put my finger on it. I prayed and felt that I was doing the right thing. But still heaven seemed to be silent when it came to me. I struggled to stay balanced. I couldn’t hold a job, relationships, a place to live, even money in my pocket. My faith had taken a nose dive. I was angry at God. My health was not good and I was ready to check out. I told no one about what was going on with me. I felt like I was being punished. I was an ungrateful child. Why was God so mad at me? I wanted change in my life. I was

hurting and lost. Four weeks ago I lost my job. Much to my surprise I felt a sense of freedom and joy. This was unusual for me to feel joy at losing my job. Who does that? What was going on with me? I felt good, happy and hopeful for the first time. It was time for me to get real about me. At this time I happened to be listening to a radio talk show. I really liked what the host was saying. So I called the talk show. Who knows? Maybe she can help me find some answers… I was able to speak with host and she started asking me a few questions in regards to my marriage. I was married for 17 years and divorced for 7. I wanted to be married. I believed that with a partnership you could do anything. I really don’t know were this belief came from seeing that I don’t remember having a father. And every man that came into my life was abusive, but I believed it nonetheless. As I meditated on the question memories started flowing into me. While married I was able to manifest great jobs, good money, even started two businesses. I was prosperous and happy. Abundance flowed. into my life. Life was good for me. Why? When the marriage ended my ability to create ended as well. I was lost and abandoned. I went from house to house, job to job and had no money in my pockets. Close to being homeless and living in places that should have been condemned .What has happened to me?

I grew more and more ashamed and angry. It took me 7 years to find out the answer. But I had to be ready to hear the truth. I had made and believed that my husband was my Source. I had made him my master and my God. He had the power to manifest and create my life. I had fallen asleep to the truth. My belief had created that reality. I could create when I was in a partnership, for me that was a marriage. And now I was struggling. My Source was no longer available it had abandoned me and found another. This belief took me by surprise and it pained me so. I had to forgive myself and my husband for making him my God. It was I that had turned my back on the truth. It was I that laid in tomb with Lazarus. I had lost my clarity and had died to the truth. I was ready to be born again. In truth and love Jesus Christ. When Jesus stood at the tomb and shouted for Lazarus to come forth. He shouted for me to awaken to who I really am. Come forth and step into who you are. Come forth and co-create with God.

He sends you a message from your dear friend that by your enthusiasm and compliments, he did know that he had made a difference in your life as did you in his. Although you always had a lot on your plate he says, he loved your enthusiasm to learn. Your angels want you to know that your beloved mentor reminds you to never let your talent and passions go to waste or to let opportunities to share your gifts pass you by. He also wants to remind you that when you feel in your heart you are extraordinary, this is because you very much are! The angel card I pulled for you is from the angel “Desiree” and her message to you is to try not to decide right now what all this means… just allow yourself to feel, knowing that understanding will come in time. The angels assure you that your souls will cross paths again and that nothing is truly lost forever. As with any loved one lost, you can set the intention before going to sleep to work with your teacher in the dream space and continue to feel his presence and his love still working in your life. You can also ask him to help the animals see that you mean them no harm and that you love and respect them. You can also ask him to lend you some of his energy. This will help animals be at ease around you. If you are dealing with an animal that is upset, angry, or scared, you can simply say “Thank you, Saint Francis” and he will know what to do! He already knows what needs to be done; it’s just a matter of you acknowledging that you need this help. One of the most extraordinary displays of this simple action was when I was grooming a small pack of Huskies. This breed is not only very powerful, but very opposed to water. The pack of Huskies consists of 2 females, and 1 male. The females are the most difficult for me to wash. They flail, run, and screech the whole time. I typically get wetter than they do! One day Saint Francis guided me. He told me just to say “Thank you, Saint Francis.” When I said those simple magical words, the dog immediately relaxed. She calmed down and let me wash her. It was, by far, the easiest bathing experience I have ever had with them! The love, healing, and acceptance that this beautiful Saint can give both you and your animals is limitless! He is easy to speak to as well as easy to understand. His messages are clear and loving. Whether you work with animals or not, he is a beautiful Master to work with. He is also associated with Italy (being only one of 2

patrons to his home country) and the environment. He was also an amazing poet. Most of his work still exists! So he is also great help to poets and writers.
