About Los Portales Wines From Mexico our family made its way to Amador County over 30 years ago, literally attracted by it’s beautiful landscape. Since the beginning, we worked in the vineyards.
Our Wines Specializing in Spanish varietals and Red Wine blends, our goal is to reflect the Borjon family’s heritage through a glass of wine.
2014 Los Portales Red Wine Fresh red fruit is most evident right away on the nose. Raspberry, cranberry and cigar box are found but on a closer look the wine develops aromas of grape taffy and orange oil. Fresh red fruit driven, its tannins are superbly structured for some time in the cellar. A hint of balanced acidity on the finish makes this and excellent choice for a hearty meal. Drink now through 2020. -JS
