The holiday season is fast approaching and whether you’re helping to host an office party or inviting the whole family out for a holiday meal, the restaurants of Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Atwater and Echo Park have you covered. Here are some of the area’s best spots for parties, catering and special occasion meals.
RESTAURANTS/PARTIES/HOLIDAY MEALS
All’Acqua Restaurant, AtwaterNew Year’s Eve will be a spe-cial treat at All’Acqua with a la carte specials from chef Don Dickman like lobster arancini and oxtail and foie gras agnolotti. On Christmas Eve, celebrate Italy’s Feast of the Seven Fishes with a seafood banquet. The entire restaurant can be bought out for brunch, lunch or din-ner for 150 people seated or
300 for a reception, or choose semi-private rooms that ac-commodate from 25 to 85 guests. Contact [email protected].
Barbrix, Silver LakeBoth Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve menus are a la carte, with New Year’s spe-cials like grilled shortrib bro-
chettes or seared sablefish a la plan-cha. Both All’Acqua and Barbrix will of-fer happy hour all night long on Christ-mas Eve and New Year’s Eve to get guests in the holi-day spirit. The cozy patio can be rented out for 50 people or 100 standing, or take over the en-tire restaurant for 120 seated and 175 standing. Offsite ca-tering and pickups

Cliff’s Edge, Silver LakeCliff’s Edge can accommo-date up to 125 people for a seated dinner, or up to 200 standing with passed hors d’oeuvres. L.A.’s year-round temperate climate makes the lush patio a serene party spot. On New Year’s Eve, new

Messhall, Los FelizMesshall’s spacious heated patio is the perfect spot for a gathering, with a separate entrance and private bar. Mess Hall’s bar program is top-notch, and mixologists can create custom cocktails for events. The upscale Amer-ican restaurant offers 10% off the entire bill for parties booked by November 15th. Tabula Rasa Bar, East HollywoodThai Town’s newest neighbor-hood wine bar offers group and buyout options for holi-day parties, with group pric-ing ranging from $1500-$3000 for a 3-hour period. The bar’s beautiful patio, ideal for an intimate cocktail hour, can be reserved starting at $500.
Taix French Restaurant, Echo ParkHistoric Taix restaurant has been serving large groups since 1927, and has six dif-ferent configurations of banquet rooms available for 20 to 200 guests or more. A large selection of traditional French continental dishes are served, and the restau-rant’s wine list is legendary. New Year’s Eve brings a live DJ and dancing, and the tra-ditional Christmas Eve din-ner offers choices including veal osso buco and prime rib. Email [email protected].
Tam O’Shanter, AtwaterAt least four different rooms seating from 20 to 90 are available for party rentals at the 90-year old restaurant, in-cluding the colorful Main Din-ing Room, where Walt Disney used to hang out. The famous prime rib, Yorkshire pudding
